A new design of cutting tool for plastic recycling is proposed, and the use of a water–polymer ultrajet as a diagnostic tool for studying the functional properties of a material is considered. The ...experimental results demonstrate that the developed knife design has broad prospects for practical application. These results are confirmed by a comparative analysis of various diagnostic methods and strength calculations of the tool.
The paper considers the need for and viability of a newly proposed geodesic control service in order to increase the construction and operational safety of urban infrastructure. We provide a ...justification for carrying on continuous survey of geodynamic processes of both natural and anthropogenic origins. Using a unifying Geographic Information System to manage digital passports of every major object of urban infrastructure will allow for better control over the current state and will also enable the planners to evaluate and analyse probable scenarios with technological accidents. All of these will improve the ecological safety and quality of living of urban population in seismic regions of Russian Federation.
The cross section of the process e^{+}e^{-}→π^{+}π^{-} has been measured in the center-of-mass energy range from 0.32 to 1.2 GeV with the CMD-3 detector at the electron-positron collider VEPP-2000. ...The measurement is based on an integrated luminosity of about 88 pb^{-1}, of which 62 pb^{-1} represent a complete dataset collected by CMD-3 at center-of-mass energies below 1 GeV. In the dominant region near the ρ resonance a systematic uncertainty of 0.7% was achieved. The implications of the presented results for the evaluation of the hadronic contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon are discussed. The cross section of the process e^{+}e^{-}→π^{+}π^{-} has been measured in the center-of-mass energy range from 0.32 to 1.2 GeV with the CMD-3 detector at the electron-positron collider VEPP-2000. The use of cutters with replaceable inserts in rotary crushers for the disposal of polymer construction materials is considered. High-speed steel inserts are proposed. The cutter strength is ...calculated, and the cutting materials undergo ultrajet water–polymer diagnostics.
Classical black holes are known for almost half a century to nullify exterior classical massive vector field associated with a charge crossing the event horizon. This implies that, from the point of ...view of an external observer, the Proca field of the charge is screened with the strength gradually increasing as the charge adiabatically approaches the event horizon. In this paper we reject the adiabaticity constraint and calculate analytically the field evolution with respect to a distant observer in the frame of the simplest model of a contracting charged spherical shell concentrically surrounding a Schwarzschild black hole. We show that a time scale of the screening is determined by a mass of the black hole and, moreover, loss of Proca hair during the collapse of charged matter has the same temporal character. Due to existence of the event horizon, there is discontinuous jump between massive and massless electrodynamics. This means that presence of an arbitrarily small mass of the photon induces observable effects, which include generation of electric asymmetry of the Universe and galactic magnetic fields.

Epithelial cell-cell junctions remodel in response to mechanical stimuli to maintain barrier function. Previously, we found that local leaks in tight junctions (TJs) are rapidly repaired by local, ...transient RhoA activation, termed "Rho flares," but how Rho flares are regulated is unknown. Here, we discovered that intracellular calcium flashes and junction elongation are early events in the Rho flare pathway. Both laser-induced and naturally occurring TJ breaks lead to local calcium flashes at the site of leaks. Additionally, junction elongation induced by optogenetics increases Rho flare frequency, suggesting that Rho flares are mechanically triggered. Depletion of intracellular calcium or inhibition of mechanosensitive calcium channels (MSCs) reduces the amplitude of calcium flashes and diminishes the sustained activation of Rho flares. MSC-dependent calcium influx is necessary to maintain global barrier function by regulating reinforcement of local TJ proteins via junction contraction. In all, we uncovered a novel role for MSC-dependent calcium flashes in TJ remodeling, allowing epithelial cells to repair local leaks induced by mechanical stimuli.
Based on the study of actual nutrition and availability of macroelements there was found that adult population of the city of Omsk was established to refer to the group at risk for the development of ...micronutrient deficiency associated with low content of a set of essential elements (copper, zinc, calcium, selenium) in the ration, being prior for correction. There was executed the hygienic substantiation developed the fermented acid milk bioproduct of a functional purpose "Bifidin" enriched with micronutrients, prior for the population of the Omsk region. Introduction of this bio-product into the ration allows to effectively correct disorders of the mineral status, that was manifested in a decline in the proportion of patients with insufficiency of calcium (from 37.9 to 24.1%; p = 0.013), copper (from 51.7 to 25.9%; p = 0.004), selenium (from 96.6 to 84.5%; p = 0.026), zinc (from 58.6 to 48.3% of the subjects; p = 0.264). Upon the completion of the prophylactic course (intake "Bifidin" of 200 ml for 60 days), there was noted the gain in the concentration in hair: calcium (by 24.4%; p=0.441), zinc (by 8.0%; p=0.0008), copper (by 8.8%; p < 0.001), selenium (by 41.5%; p < 0.001). There was established the efficacy of the use of bio-product "Bifidin" enriched with micronutrients for the improvement of the structure of nutrition and element status of the adult population of the city of Omsk. There was justified the extensive use of dairy products enriched with micronutrients both for the reduction of the prevalence of microelementoses and the improvement of the nutritional status.

The CMD-3 detector has been collecting data since 2010 at the e+e− collider VEPP-2000 in the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics. VEPP-2000 uses the novel round beam technique and provides high ...luminosity in a wide c.m.energy range from 0.32 to 2 GeV. The physics goal of the CMD-3 experiment is a study of the e+e− annihilation into hadrons. CMD-3 is a general-purpose detector, which provides high efficiency for both charged and neutral particles. The electromagnetic calorimeter consists of the barrel calorimeter based on liquid xenon and CsI crystals, and the endcap calorimeter based on BGO crystals. The main parameters of the calorimeters are presented.
