Recently, the fluorescent detection of carbon monoxide (CO) in living cells has attracted great attention. However, due to the lack of effective ways to construct fluorescent CO probes, fluorescent ...detection of CO in living cells is still in its infancy. In this paper, we report for the first time the use of allyl ether as a reaction site for construction of fluorescent CO probes. By this way, two readily available allyl fluorescein ethers were prepared, which were found to be highly selective and sensitive probes for CO in the presence of PdCl2. These probes have the merits of good stability, good water-solubility, and rapid and distinct colorimetric and remarkable fluorescent turn-on signal changes. Moreover, a very low dose of these two probes can be used to detect and track CO in living cells, indicating that these two probes could be very promising biological tools for CO detection in living systems. Overall, this work provided not only two new promising fluorescent CO probes but also a new way to devise fluorescent CO probes.

•A smart fluorescent probe for simultaneous detection and discrimination of H2S, Cys/Hcy and GSH was reported.•This probe is rather simple and can be readily prepared.•This probe ...shows rapid response for these four thiols with high selectivity and sensitivity.•Simultaneous detection and discrimination of Cys and GSH in living cells by this probe was successfully achieved.
Development of a simple probe for simultaneous detection and discrimination of the most important four biothiols (H2S, Cys, Hcy and GSH) is important but a challenging task. In this paper, a very simple but versatile fluorescent probe was reported, which can be used for simultaneous detection and discrimination of H2S, Cys/Hcy and GSH. This probe not only can be easily prepared, but also shows rapid (within 150s), selective and sensitive responses for these four biothiols with distinct fluorescent turn-on signal changes at 465nm. Moreover, this probe is able to show unique absorbance enhancement at 540nm for H2S, and additional fluorescence enhancement at 550nm only for Cys/Hcy, thus providing a rapid, simultaneous detection and discrimination method for H2S, Cys/Hcy and GSH. Imaging and discrimination of Cys and GSH in HeLa Cells by this probe were also successfully applied.

In this paper, a visible light excitable ESIPT probe was developed, which was found to be a very promising colorimetric and fluorescent sensor for rapid and selective detection of hydrogen sulfide in ...aqueous solution. The sensing mechanism and the application of this probe for hydrogen sulfide detection in biological serum and in simulated wastewater samples were investigated.
A readily available naphthofluorescein-based near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent probe was reported for rapid, colorimetric and NIR fluorescent turn-on detection of cysteine (Cys) with high selectivity ...and sensitivity over various analytes including the similar structured homocysteine (Hcy) and glutathione (GSH). This probe was successfully applied to bioimage intracellular Cys in living cells with low cytotoxicity.
In view of the current situation of the development of residential accommodation in rural areas in China, this paper starts from the spatial distribution and structural characteristics of residential ...accommodation with national characteristics, taking the national rural characteristic hostels as the research object, analyzes the spatial distribution characteristics of the characteristic hostels in the whole country by using the inverse distance weight method and Kriging spatial interpolation method, and visually expresses the development status of the characteristic hostels in the whole country by using the spatial thermal diagram. The experimental results show that the distribution of residential accommodation with rural characteristics in China has strong spatial agglomeration characteristics. Residential accommodation with rural characteristics in China is generally positively correlated with population density, occupied area and GDP in various regions. Relying on the beautiful natural environment and simple human resources, the development of the rural residents’ lodging has made the rural residents’ lodging itself a tourism attraction, transforming the disadvantages into advantages, driving the development of rural tourism and related industries, stimulating the employment of farmers and promoting cultural revival and the prosperity of the common people.
A novel HBT-hemicyanine hybrid was prepared. This hybrid not only displays a large red-shifted (Δλ = 125 nm) emission compared to the well known ESIPT dye HBT, but also can be used as a new probe for ...rapid, colorimetric and ratiometric fluorescent detection of bisulfite with high selectivity and sensitivity in aqueous solution. The detection limit of this probe for HSO3− was calculated to be about 56 nM with a linear range of 0–25 μM. The potential application of this probe was exampled by detection of bisulfite in real food samples and living cells. Overall, this work not only provided a new ratiometric sensing platform, but also provided a new promising colorimetric and ratiometric fluorescent probe for bisulfite.

Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is considered gradually as a serious public health issue, and hepatotoxicity has been regarded as the main clinical problem caused by it. We suspected that both the ...intracellular viscosity and peroxynitrite (ONOO–) levels in drug-induced hepatotoxicity tissue are higher than those in a healthy liver. For this reason, we have presented a fluorescent probe VO for multichannel imaging viscosity and ONOO– simultaneously. Experimental results showed that VO has satisfactory detection performance for both viscosity and ONOO–, and based on the advantages of its lower cytotoxicity and pH-stabilities, VO was successfully employed to image viscosity and ONOO– in living cells and animals. More importantly, we use the probe to successfully showcase drug-induced hepatotoxicity by imaging viscosity and ONOO– induced by acetaminophen (APAP). All the results indicate that VO has great potential for the detection of viscosity and ONOO– and to assay drug-induced hepatotoxicity. Overall, this work offers a new detection tool/method for a deeper understanding of drug-induced organism injury.
