    猫3例, 犬1例の横隔膜に実験的に作ったヘルニア欠損孔をグルタールアルデヒド処理した犬心膜でパッチ縫合した. 猫で1~3ヵ月後, 犬で1年後に肉眼的・組織学的変化を観察したところ, 心膜に対する炎症反応および癒着は軽度で, レシピエントの組織との一体化が示された. この方法は, 猫の横隔膜ヘルニア2症例についても良好な成績が得られた
