In this paper, two different types of biowaste composting processes were carried out – composting without and with bioaugmentation. All experiments were performed in an adiabatic reactor for 14 days. ...Composting enhanced with bioaugmentation was the better choice because the thermophilic phase was achieved earlier, making the composting time shorter. Additionally, a higher conversion of substrate (amount of substrate consumed) was also noticed in the process enhanced by bioaugmentation. A mathematical model was developed and process parameters were estimated in order to optimize the composting process. Based on good agreement between experimental data and the mathematical model simulation results, a three-level-four-factor Box-Behnken experimental design was employed to define the optimal process conditions for further studies. It was found that the air flow rate and the mass fraction of the substrate have the most significant effect on the composting process. An improvement of the composting process was achieved after altering the mentioned variables, resulting in shorter composting time and higher conversion of the substrate.
The Triarchic model of psychopathy includes three components: boldness, meanness, and disinhibition. The model proposed that boldness is an adaptive component of psychopathy. Considering the empathic ...deficit present in psychopathy, emotional intelligence (EI) is an important construct for investigation of psychopathy. The major aim of this study was to investigate the role of boldness in predicting dimensions of emotional intelligence. The second aim of the present study was to explore whether associations between psychopathic components and dimensions of emotional intelligence vary across sex. Four-hundred-and-ninety-five students (51 % men) completed the Triarchic Psychopathy Measure (TriPM), and Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS). The results of hierarchical regression analysis indicated that boldness shows adaptive features and represent a “successful” expressions of psychopathy, while disinhibition and meanness represent risk factors for adaptive interpersonal behaviour. Furthermore, results indicated that the relationship between TriPM and WLEIS did not vary across sex.

Background
The role of impulsivity in post-purchase consumer regret is unclear and intriguing because of the negative emotions that underlie both constructs. It is particularly important to ...examine the impact of impulsivity on the relationship between regret and the Emotionality dimension of the HEXACO model of personality.
Objectives
The purpose of this paper was to investigate the associations between consumer regret components: outcome regret and process regret, attention, motor and non-planning dimensions of impulsivity and Fearfulness, Anxiety, Dependence and Sentimentality domains of Emotionality.
Methods/Approach
The sample consisted of undergraduates from Zagreb, Croatia (

= 25.93, 56% females). The correlation and the regression analysis were performed. We used the Baratt impulsivity scale (BIS-11), the HEXACO-PI-R Emotionality scale and the Post Purchase Regret Scale (PPRS).
Results
The PPCR total score was associated with the BIS-11 total score, attention and non-planning impulsivity. Regret due to foregone alternatives was related to attention and non-planning impulsivity, while regret due to a change in significance was related only to attention impulsivity. Regret due to under-consideration positively correlated with non-planning impulsivity.
Conclusions
The results indicate that relations between impulsivity and consumer regret have an important role in understanding consumer behavior and that impulsivity has a moderate association between consumer regret and Emotionality.
Purpose – The trends of consumption of beverages in the hospitality industry are an important segment of managers’ prediction in the creation and planning of future tourist spending. Predicting the ...motives and needs of tourists in the consumption of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is of special interest to managers in the hospitality industry. This paper analyses interdependence and the impact of weather changes on the consumption of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. The objective is to analyse the interdependence of the weather (climate) and consumption so that the managers could more successfully create future level of tourist demand for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as an important segment in the creation of tourist consumption in hospitality companies. Design – The research model of the set tasks are hospitality companies for provision of beverage services, i.e. benchmarking with comparable hospitality companies. The used data are those of weather changes in the Adriatic destinations of Porec, Opatija, Mali Lošinj, Zadar, Šibenik, Split, Hvar, and Dubrovnik. Methodology – Regression analysis is used to verify the set hypothesis, that the quantity of consumed beverages increases with the increase in the number of overnights and air temperature. Approach – The intention is to verify the hypothesis that the weather i.e. temperature changes, humidity, and precipitation determine pleasant atmosphere which affects the level of consumption of beverages. Findings –Multiple determination coefficient of 99% shows that 99% of variations in the quantity of the consumed beverages is explained by changes in the number of overnights i.e. air temperature. Originality of the research – The analysed impacts of climate changes on the consumption of beverages is analysed on the example of Adriatic tourist destinations. Research results are applicable in practice and are especially useful to managers on the tourist market regarding prediction of weather changes and, accordingly, creation of high-quality products and services.
In recent years, external trade figures between Croatian and Hungarian have marked significant changes. Although, both of them have been passed strong process of transformation in the earlier ...nineties of the last century. In the observed period, Hungarian export marked significant result in terms of external coverage ratio and it is continuously in the surplus side. Comparing with Croatia, the results are totally different; low external trade coverage ratio (in average below 60%) and continuously in the deficit side. Therefore, the main goal of this article is to pointout how depreciation of exchange rate in correlation with internal depreciation influence on the net foreign direct investment inflow (hereinafter FDI) and external trade balance. Thus, in the observed period Hungary had significant high level of capital accumulation in terms of FDI, followed with high level of internal depreciation and depreciation of exchange rate, while Croatian economy, had considerably lower level of capital accumulation measured in terms per capita FDI followed with internal appreciation and stable exchange rate. Additionally, in the observed period, Croatia had passed through the recession which lasted six years, while in Hungary that was not the case.
Cilj rada je provođenje empirijskog testiranja teorije hijerarhijske financijskih izbora (pecking order theory) na hrvatskom tržištu kapitala. Istraživanje je obuhvatilo 17 nefinancijskih društava ...uvrštenih na Zagrebačkoj burzi za razdoblje od 2008. - 2016. godine, odnosno za sva uvrštena društva za koja su bili raspoloživi svi podatci za navedeno razdoblje. Iz uzorka su isključena društva iz financijskog sektora. Ispitivanje postojanja hijerarhije financijskih izbora provedeno je prema postavkama regresijskog modela Shyam-Sundersa i Myersa (1999). Rezultati indiciraju odbacivanje hipoteze o postojanju jakog oblika hijerarhije financijskih izbora i sugeriraju prihvaćanje postojanja slabog oblika hijerarhije financijskih izbora, što je u korelaciji s prijašnjim istraživanjima provedenim na drugim tržištima.
Važnost održivosti čovječanstva i planete zemlje moguće je ostvariti korištenjem alternativnih izvora energije, štednjom energije, zaštitom zraka, vode i zemlje od štetnih utjecaja, sprečavanjem ...širenja zaraznih bolesti i sl. Jedan od takvih sustava je i održivo gospodarenje otpadom uvođenjem mehaničko, biološko, termičke obrade otpada, MBO-Te tehnologije, koja otpad u potpunosti reciklira na sirovine i energiju, a koja se potvrdila u praksi.

The introductory part of the paper emphasizes the importance of using ICT in the educational process and emphasizes its fundamental developmental determinants. The second part of the paper emphasizes ...the concept of digital literacy, which is superior to the concepts of information and IT literacy. Also here, the differences between distance learning and online learning are highlighted, as well as the characteristics of both models. Regarding the increasing number of users of mobile devices, data on the use of mobile and PDA devices as well as their elementary advantages in learning are quantitatively presented. The practical part of the work is based on the assessment of the distinctiveness of the use of ICT, and with regard to the type of scientific educational institution, it was tested with relevant statistical tests, and the basic hypothesis was confirmed. “Successful psychopaths“ display psychopatic personality traits (i.e. lying, manipulating) in businness environments but do not display deviant lifestyles. The Triarchic Psychopathy Model proposed ...that psychopathy encompasses three phenotypic constructs: boldness, meanness and disinhibition. In line with theoretical assumptions, boldness is adaptive component of psychopathy and can therefore be useful for identifying “successful“ expressions of psychopathy. The aim of this research was to investigate whether boldness added incrementally in predicting emotional intelligence. Data was collected on 495 students (252 male) using the Triarchic Psychopathy Measure (TriPM, Patrick, 2010), and Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS, Wong et al., 2002). Hierarchical regression analysis showed that boldness did add incrementally to meanness and disinhibition in accounting for variance in total WLEIS score (12%), Self-emotional appraisal (5%), Others' emotional appraisal (2%), Use of emotion (14%) and Regulation of emotion (6%). Results of this study indicate that boldness has adaptive potential and represent a helpful factor for successful interpersonal behaviors such as EI.
