Jednou z logických priorít je umiestnenie prestupného miesta čo najbližšie k terminálu leteckej dopravy bratislavského letiska v rámci priestorových možností a technických podmienok.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for public passenger transport has decreased significantly in many European countries since March 2020. Due to several measures and restrictions adopted, this ...decrease was particularly pronounced in international long-distance transport due to several restrictions and measures adopted. A significant decrease in demand could also be observed on the international rail transport route Bratislava / Vienna – Prague in the form of the decline in the number of transported passengers on this railway line. Therefore, it is very important and necessary to propose various measures to increase the demand and achieve a significant long-term increase in the number of passengers in long-distance rail transport not only on the mentioned transport route. This paper analyses the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on passenger transport usage frequency and proposes solutions to improve the quality of the timetables. It deals with the long-term and systematic concept of international long-distance passenger rail transport on the Prague – Bratislava / Vienna and back in the post-pandemic period. For this purpose, specific scientific methods are selected, which can be applied in order to rationalize and optimize train timetables.
This paper presents a pricing model of railway infrastructure capacity allocation functioning as a regulatory measure while fulfilling the regulatory requirements on railway infrastructure capacity ...allocation. The prices of railway infrastructure capacity allocation will be modelled with regard to all economically justifiable costs of railway infrastructure capacity allocation. The structure of model has been developed as a set of calculation sheets in Microsoft Excel. The recommended prices for railway capacity have been found by simulation of a set of variants and the recommendation is done for different operational conditions in an individual way. It analyses different products offered by the railway infrastructure capacity allocator both in the annual working timetable mode, and in the individual ad hoc mode. The aim of the proposed model is to motivate not only railway undertakings, but also the railway infrastructure capacity allocator to submit requests for railway infrastructure capacity in the annual working timetable mode rather than in the individual ad hoc mode. The total price is then verified to the cost of railway infrastructure capacity allocation. This process then ensures the regulation of the demand of railway undertakings on the given route and can influence the decision about the use of the product offered.
Negative effects of humidity in historic buildings can be considered as phenomenon that is perceptible on most of these constructions. Along with the problem of humidity, the salinity of wet walls ...can also be observed visually, that also in a large extent helps to destroy and gradually degrade particular structural elements and subsequently entire buildings. This article is going to describe the research dealing with the content of water-soluble salts and the degree of wetting on selected historical buildings in Slovakia. In the article are adduced the individual values of humidity measured at several places in the building and also describes the results of laboratory analyses of the amount of water-soluble salts in the investigated constructions. Subsequently, the article describes the technologies used in the rehabilitation of these structures and describes the effectiveness of these interventions against moisture, which are also presented by in situ measurements after the implementation of specific technologies.

The optimization of mechanized construction processes has a very important impact on economic and environmental sustainability. Our analyses evaluate key factors that affect the quality, environment, ...and economics of mechanized earth processes. This paper also presents approaches in this area in Slovakia and abroad, and existing mathematical models for the optimal design of earthmoving machinery. The main goals of our paper are the proposal of a method of machine selection for excavation including a multi-criteria optimization method with software support and application and verification of this method in a model example. A total of nine scientific methods applied in our paper are analyzed. The key results of the research work in terms of the set goals are given in the Conclusion, where the key research results are summarized. The results of the research work presented in the paper have a direct impact on economic and environmental sustainability, which can be achieved already in the phase of construction preparation. Applications of information technologies in multi-criteria optimization of the selection of construction machines for earth processes enables their use in the BIM (building information modeling) model.
The article presents themethodology proposalof comprehensive evaluation of the providedservices quality inregional passenger rail transport. The proposed methodology of the quality evaluation can be ...used for comparing the integrated transport systems by the quality level. It can be utilized as an evaluation of the provided services in the relationship with the submitter and the supplier as well. The methodologyproposal fully accept the transport policy of the EU, specifically the White Paper 2011 – The Roadmap to a Single European Transportation Area - Towards a competitive and resourceful efficient transport system, that are also included in the quality norms and transportation operational programme in Horizon 2020.
Restoration of landmarks hit by rising moisture is in conjunction with the concept of sustainability by a very current theme. This problem needs to be addressed from a global point of view. The ...article discusses individual remediation technologies (invasive and non-invasive), which were applied and long-term investigated on several historical buildings within Slovakia. It describes the costs of their implementation, efficiency rate and importance from the perspective of the preservation of the nation’s cultural heritage and from the perspective of sustainability and the possibility of using these objects. From the perspective of sustainability, it is also shown that some interventions helped with remediation of the moist structure. This step results in a positive impact on the surroundings and protection of persons located in the vicinity of these buildings. It also helps to sustainability in terms of an environmental point of view because the demolition of renewed buildings is not necessary. The Article conclusion notes the level of efficiency of individual technologies. It also provides recommendations that could also be applied to many other historic buildings.
The quality of preparations carried out before building work commences has a significant impact on the smooth running and overall financial costs of a construction project. The use of construction ...machinery, which is crucial with regard to the efficiency of the construction process, plays an important role. In building construction, the machines in question are mainly tower cranes. The paper presents a new method for assessing the utilisation of tower cranes over time during the construction of reinforced concrete monolithic structures. The method, which contributes to the efficient utilisation of such cranes, is based on a mathematical simulation model that predicts the work cycles of a tower crane during a work shift when work is being performed on individual construction sub-processes. Construction sub-processes are analysed in detail with regard to the service provided to them by a tower crane. Data can also be obtained from binding construction schedules and boundary conditions, which in every case are for a specific executed construction project. The simulation model of the work of tower cranes has been developed for use in software applications. The created application expands the possibilities of smart construction site design in a digital environment and can also be used directly from an internet browser.
Quality has a fundamental influence to the services in passenger transport. The main objective of transport is to satisfy customers’ (passengers’) requirements on the qualitative, flexible, fast and ...safe carriage of people and goods. Organisers of transport (public authority), providers of transport services and their customers have a different view on the perception of quality. This fact is influenced by unsystematic assessment to the quality measurement as well as by ignorance of the interaction of the transportation the peoples with the transport system. The paper is focussed on the quality evaluation of performance in regional passenger rail transport in relation to other modes of public transport. Hereby it is necessary to research the perception of quality services as well its value for the client (passenger) as well to on scientific approach. In this point of the technological process of transport, the main bearer of the quality of transport services are the vehicles and the transport infrastructure. Consequently it is needed to set a permanent process of quality evaluation of the provided transport services. The paper is based on the premise that the customer interests present the public ordering body (authority) of the public transportation services.
At present, there is a trend to prefer and primarily to orient and develop individual car traffic instead public passenger transport across the Europe. However it causes many problems and negative ...social impacts. The position of railway passenger transport in public passenger transport sector is not optimal. There are identified various organizational, operational and other problems. Therefore the main long-term goal of EU transport policy in passenger transport is to eliminate individual car transport and to adopt measures for public passenger transport development and to achieve the railway transport become a key transport mode. The contribution is focused on analysis of the current position and problems of railway passenger transport from the point of view as to logistic chain. Based on previous research, measures and visions of railway passenger transport development is proposed methodical process and strategic questions for sustainable railway passenger transport and infrastructure. These proposals can be considered as elements of innovative management in transport chain. Practical application of the proposals should improve railway transport planning and organizing and finally to increase efficiency, attractiveness, better image of public the traveling.
