This study aims to determine the digital intensity levels, which are an indicator of the digital transformation performance of the countries. With this scope, the digital intensity efficiency levels ...of the European Union member countries were calculated by data envelopment analysis (DEA). The input-oriented Charnes Cooper and Rhodes (CCR-O) Model has been used to determine the digital intensity of the countries. The input criteria of the DEA model were obtained from the digital skills data in The Digital Economy and Society Index-2021 (DESI), and the output criteria were obtained from the digital intensity data of the same index. Digital content creation communication and collaboration, online information and communication, information and data literacy, problem-solving, and safety skills are input criteria for digital skills. Very low, low, high, and very high data were used as output criteria for digital intensity. According to the findings, Hungary, Spain, Slovakia, and Ireland are not at the full efficiency level. It is also stated in the study that input variables should be directed to reach the full efficiency level of the countries that are not at the full efficiency level. Accordingly, it was observed that Hungary, Spain, Ireland and Slovakia are not at the full productivity level. it can be said that these countries have digital skills but their digital intensity is not high. In this respect, it can be concluded that they do not make use of these skills sufficiently.
Bu çalışma ülkelerin dijital dönüşüm başarımının bir göstergesi olan dijital yoğunluk düzeylerinin belirlenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Bu doğrultuda Avrupa Birliği üye ülkelerin dijital yoğunluk etkinlik seviyeleri veri zarflama analizi (VZA) ile hesaplanmıştır. Ülkelerin dijital yoğunluk etkinlik düzeylerinin tespit edilmesinde çıktı odaklı Charnes Cooper ve Rhodes (CCR) Modeli kullanılmıştır. VZA modelinin girdi kriterleri Dijital Ekonomi ve Toplum İndeksi-2021 (DESI) içinde yer alan dijital beceriler veri setinden, çıktı kriterleri ise aynı indeksin işletmeler için dijital yoğunluk veri setinden elde edilmiştir. İletişim ve işbirliği, enformasyon ve veri okuryazarlığı, problem çözme, dijital içerik yaratma, güvenlik ve çevrimiçi bilgi ve iletişim becerileri girdi kriterleri olarak kullanılmıştır. Çok düşük, düşük, yüksek ve çok yüksek çıktı kriterleri olarak kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre Macaristan, İspanya, Slovakya ve İrlanda'nın tam etkinlik düzeyinde olmadıkları söylenebilir. Tam etkinlik düzeyinde olmayan ülkelerin tam etkinlik düzeyine ulaşabilmek için hangi girdi değişkenlerine yönelmeleri gerektiği çalışmada ayrıca belirtilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda Hungary, Spain, Ireland ve Slovakia'nın tam verimlilik düzeyinde olmadıkları görülmüştür. Bu ülkelerin dijital becerilere sahip oldukları ancak dijital yoğunluklarının yüksek olmadığı söylenebilir. Bu doğrultuda söz konusu ülkelerin dijital becerilerden yeterince yararlanamadıkları sonucuna varılabilir.
National entrepreneurship and national competitiveness are two basic factors that affect the economic development of countries. In this study, the effect of national entrepreneurship on national ...competitiveness is examined. Linear and non-linear regression analyzes were applied as research method. Non-linear regression model estimates were obtained with the curve estimation model application. Obtained models are presented comparatively. The sample consists of 52 countries. The national entrepreneurship scores of the countries were obtained from the “Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM)” reports. National competitiveness scores are derived from “Global Competitiveness Index (GCI)” reports. The research period is 2019 before the pandemic. According to the research findings, the model with the highest percentage of explanation among the non-linear models is determined as the "Qubic" estimation model. When the Qubic non-linear model and linear model are compared, both models are found to be significant. In addition, it is concluded that the percentage of explanation of the non-linear model is higher than the linear model. Based on the findings, it has been suggested to develop country-specific entrepreneurship strategies as well as general entrepreneurship strategies in determining national entrepreneurship strategies.
Ulusal girişimcilik ve ulusal rekabetçilik, ülkelerin ekonomik kalkınmasını etkileyen iki temel faktördür. Bu çalışmada, ulusal girişimciliğin ulusal rekabetçilik üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırma yöntemi olarak doğrusal ve doğrusal olmayan regresyon analizleri uygulanmıştır. Eğri tahmin modeli uygulamasıyla doğrusal olmayan regresyon model tahminleri elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen modeller karşılaştırmalı olarak sunulmuştur. Örneklem alan 52 ülkeden oluşmaktadır. Ülkelerin ulusal girişimcilik değerleri “Küresel Girişimcilik Monitörü (GEM)” raporlarından elde edilmiştir. Ulusal rekabetçilik puanları “Küresel Rekabetçilik Endeksi (GCI)” raporlarından elde edilmiştir. Araştırma dönemi pandemi öncesi 2019 yılıdır. Araştırma bulgularına göre doğrusal olmayan modeller arasında en yüksek açıklama yüzdesine sahip model “Qubic” tahmin modeli olarak belirlenmiştir. Qubic doğrusal olmayan model ile doğrusal model karşılaştırıldığında her iki modelin de anlamlı olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca doğrusal olmayan modelin açıklama yüzdesinin doğrusal modele göre daha yüksek olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara dayalı olarak, ulusal girişimcilik stratejilerinin belirlenmesinde genel girişimcilik stratejilerinin yanı sıra ülkeye özgü girişimcilik stratejilerinin geliştirilmesi önerilmiştir.
At 1990’s the computers and internet had been used particularly by governments and universities. And

information. In this time the basis properties of the life has not been changed but new properties have
been added to their ways. Continuously regeneration of information technologies has produced
information systems. Information systems are the rule series that decide the data which one will select
and how it will process. The development in the information technologies caused big exchanges in the
structure of organization and affected all operations of business. Communication, selling and buying,
obtaining information, marketing and advertising, management, health, logistics, banking have been
getting new formats by information technologies. In this study the effects of IT have been inspected
over marketing. IT affected the marketing both Marketing Information Systems that support all
marketing operations of business and diversifying the marketing process. We aimed to inspect these
two main effects in our study.
