Therefore, as in RDF inference, an authorization conflict can be caused by RIF inference. In addition, this authorization conflict can arise as a result of the interaction of RIF inference and RDF inference rather than of RIF inference alone. In this paper, we analyze the authorization conflict problem caused by RIF inference and suggest an efficient authorization conflict detection algorithm. The algorithm exploits the graph labeling-based algorithm proposed in our earlier paper. Through experiments, we show that the performance of the graph labeling-based algorithm is outstanding for large RDF data.

Recent yeast genetic studies have implicated the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme and ubiquitin ligase functions of yRad6 and yBre1, respectively, in H2B ubiquitylation. However, there have been no ...corresponding biochemical analyses demonstrating intrinsic enzyme activities of yRad6 and yBre1 or related mechanistic details. Here, we describe a robust in vitro chromatin ubiquitylation assay that involves purified H2B ubiquitylation factors and natural nucleosomes. Our results indicate that yRad6 has an in vitro ability to nonspecifically ubiquitylate all core histones in the absence of an ubiquitin ligase but that yBre1 functions, through direct interactions with yRad6, to direct the ubiquitin conjugating activity of yRad6 toward the physiological H2B ubiquitylation site. Moreover, a yRad6 domain mapping analysis shows that an intact UBC domain is required for binding to yBre1, whereas the C-terminal acidic tail domain that is not required for a stable yBre1-yRad6 interaction is necessary for full enzyme activity of yRad6. We also find that, analogous to heteromeric complex formation by BRE1 paralogues in other organisms, yBre1 forms a homo-multimeric complex. Of special significance, our detailed biochemical analyses further show that the yBre1 RING finger domain is essential for H2B ubiquitylation but, surprisingly, dispensable for interaction of yBre1 with yRad6. In further support of the genetically identified requirement of the RNA polymerase II-associated yPaf1 complex for H2B ubiquitylation, protein interaction studies reveal that a purified yPaf1 complex directly and selectively interacts with yBre1 and thus serves to link the H2B ubiquitylation and general transcription machineries. These studies provide a more detailed mechanistic basis for H2B ubiquitylation in yeast.

Reinforcement learning (RL) is utilized in a wide range of real‐world applications. Typical applications include single agent‐based RL. However, most practical tasks require multiple agents ...for cooperative control processes. Multiple‐agent RL demands complicated design, and numerous design possibilities should be considered for its practical usefulness. We propose two RL implementations for a message‐queuing telemetry transport (MQTT) protocol system. Two types of implementations improve the communication efficiency of MQTT: (i) single‐broker‐agent implementation and (ii) multiple‐publisher‐agents implementation. We focused on different message priorities in a dynamic environment for each implementation. The proposed implementations improve communication efficiency by adjusting the loop cycle time of the broker or by learning the message importance. The proposed MQTT control scheme improves the battery efficiency of Internet‐of‐Things (IoT)‐based devices with relatively insufficient battery power.
Chromatin reorganization is governed by multiple post-translational modifications of chromosomal proteins and DNA. These histone modifications are reversible, dynamic events that can regulate ...DNA-driven cellular processes. However, the molecular mechanisms that coordinate histone modification patterns remain largely unknown. In metazoans, reversible protein modification by O-linked N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) is catalysed by two enzymes, O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) and O-GlcNAcase (OGA). However, the significance of GlcNAcylation in chromatin reorganization remains elusive. Here we report that histone H2B is GlcNAcylated at residue S112 by OGT in vitro and in living cells. Histone GlcNAcylation fluctuated in response to extracellular glucose through the hexosamine biosynthesis pathway (HBP). H2B S112 GlcNAcylation promotes K120 monoubiquitination, in which the GlcNAc moiety can serve as an anchor for a histone H2B ubiquitin ligase. H2B S112 GlcNAc was localized to euchromatic areas on fly polytene chromosomes. In a genome-wide analysis, H2B S112 GlcNAcylation sites were observed widely distributed over chromosomes including transcribed gene loci, with some sites co-localizing with H2B K120 monoubiquitination. These findings suggest that H2B S112 GlcNAcylation is a histone modification that facilitates H2BK120 monoubiquitination, presumably for transcriptional activation.
The purpose of this study was to introduce a new surgical technique for pedicled TRAM flap that removes a part of the rectus abdominis muscle inserting into ribs, and to analyze this technique in ...comparison with classical pedicled TRAM flap.
A retrospective review of patient charts from May 2006 to February 2016 was performed. The patient group that underwent the removal of the part of the rectus abdominis that inserts into the thorax (partial muscle resection; PMR group) was compared with the group that did not undergo this muscle resection (Classical group). The complications and aesthetic effects of surgery between the two groups were analyzed.
There were 34 patients in the classical group and 28 in the PMR group. There were no significant differences in postoperative complications between these two groups. The rates of fat necrosis were 32.1% in the PMR group and 36.1% in the classical group. The postoperative aesthetic outcome of the inframammary fold showed no significant differences in outcome between the classical and PMR groups. However, all items received higher scores in the PMR group.
The authors' new surgical method was associated with a positive cosmetic effect of improving inframammary fold aesthetics and could thus represent a new option for pTRAM breast reconstruction.
Induction motors are typical rotating machines that are widely used in various industrial processes. The condition of induction motors has to be monitored to avoid serious losses, which can be caused ...by various reasons. Over the last decades, although many studies have been performed on the condition monitoring (CM), there is still an increasing need for cost-effective and reliable CM techniques for induction motor. This paper presents an adaptive Kalman filter (AKF)-based CM technique for an induction motor driving a scrubber fan. In this work, AKFs are used to extract useful information about the induction motor's condition based on measured vibration signals. The main novelty of the proposed method is the use of multiple AKFs for the detection of outliers and anomalies. The output of the AKFs plays as the basis of severity assessment on the vibration signals. A set of AKFs are employed to deal with various anomaly conditions caused by different severity levels of vibration as the IM is deteriorated. Moreover, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through experiments involving a real scrubber fan driven by an induction motor.
In this paper, anomaly detection of wheel flats based on signal processing and deep learning techniques is analyzed. Wheel flats mostly affect running stability and ride comfort. Currently, domestic ...railway companies visually inspect wheel flats one by one with their eyes after railway vehicles enter the railway depots for maintenance. Therefore, CBM (Condition-Based Maintenance) is required for wheel flats resolution. Anomaly detection for wheel flat signals of railway vehicles using Order analysis and STFT (Short Time Fourier Transform) is studied in this paper. In the case of railway vehicles, it is not easy to obtain actual failure data through running vehicles in a university laboratory due to safety and cost issues. Therefore, vibration-induced acceleration was obtained using a multibody dynamics simulation software, SIMPACK. This method is also proved in the other paper by rig tests. In addition, since the noise signal was not included in the simulated vibration, the noise signal obtained from the Seoul Metro Subway Line 7 vehicle was overlapped with the simulated one. Finally, to improve the performance of both detection rate and real-time of characteristics based on existing LeNet-5 architectures, spectrogram images transformed from time domain data were proceeded with the LeNet deep learning model modified with the pooling method and activation function. As a result, it is validated that the method using the spectrogram with a deep learning approach yields higher accuracy than the time domain data.
Methylation of histone H3 lysine 4 (H3K4) by Set1/COMPASS occurs co-transcriptionally, and is important for gene regulation. Set1/COMPASS associates with the RNA polymerase II C-terminal domain (CTD) ...to establish proper levels and distribution of H3K4 methylations. However, details of CTD association remain unclear. Here we report that the Set1 N-terminal region and the COMPASS subunit Swd2, which interact with each other, are both needed for efficient CTD binding in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Moreover, a single point mutation in Swd2 that affects its interaction with Set1 also impairs COMPASS recruitment to chromatin and H3K4 methylation. A CTD interaction domain (CID) from the protein Nrd1 can partially substitute for the Set1 N-terminal region to restore CTD interactions and histone methylation. However, even when Set1/COMPASS is recruited via the Nrd1 CID, histone H2B ubiquitylation is still required for efficient H3K4 methylation, indicating that H2Bub acts after the initial recruitment of COMPASS to chromatin.
Deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is a powerful approach that combines reinforcement learning (RL) and deep learning to address complex decision-making problems in high-dimensional environments. ...Although DRL has been remarkably successful, its low sample efficiency necessitates extensive training times and large amounts of data to learn optimal policies. These limitations are more pronounced in the context of multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL). To address these limitations, various studies have been conducted to improve DRL. In this study, we propose an approach that combines a masked reconstruction task with QMIX (M-QMIX). By introducing a masked reconstruction task as an auxiliary task, we aim to achieve enhanced sample efficiency—a fundamental limitation of RL in multi-agent systems. Experiments were conducted using the StarCraft II micromanagement benchmark to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. We used 11 scenarios comprising five easy, three hard, and three very hard scenarios. We particularly focused on using a limited number of time steps for each scenario to demonstrate the improved sample efficiency. Compared to QMIX, the proposed method is superior in eight of the 11 scenarios. These results provide strong evidence that the proposed method is more sample-efficient than QMIX, demonstrating that it effectively addresses the limitations of DRL in multi-agent systems.
