In order to study the influence of the dimension error of the connecting rod and the angular deviation of the joint on the end-path accuracy of the series robot, the Denavit-Hartenberg(D-H) method is ...used to establish the reliability model of the end-path accuracy of the robot. Considering that the exact probability distribution of some variables is difficult to obtain and there is cognitive uncertainty, a hybrid non-probability model combining probability-box model and traditional probability model is proposed to analyze the end-path accuracy of series robot. Combined with the quasi-Monte Carlo method and nested interval analysis, the quasi interval Monte Carlo method is proposed to analyze the hybrid reliability model. The case application shows that the proposed method converges faster than the traditional Monte Carlo method, requires less computing resources, and the established model is closer to engineering practice.
In today's big data era, breaking events are disseminating on various platforms like social media and search engine at a high velocity, generating large volumes of event-related data. Numerous ...studies focus on the event dissemination trend analysis on a particular media platform, while very few works are conducted to adaptively identify hot words and analyze an event's popularity in a platform independent manner from streaming data. In this work, we propose GAPES(General Analysis and Prediction of Event popularity on Streaming data), a novel and unified approach to analyze and predict the event popularity on different media platforms. GAPES first processes event streaming data and adaptively selects event hot words by considering word's importance, correlation and completeness aspects, then it uses an unified event popularity analysis model and an probability distribution based event popularity prediction model to accurately analyze and forecast event trend with a flexible timescale. Experimental results based on 16 real-world event datasets produce several interesting findings and validate the capability of GAPES in adaptively selecting event's representative words, effectively analyzing and accurately predicting event popularity on both social network and search engine platforms.
Electron microscopy (EM) enables the reconstruction of neural circuits at the level of individual synapses, which has been transformative for scientific discoveries. However, due to the complex ...morphology, an accurate reconstruction of cortical axons has become a major challenge. Worse still, there is no publicly available large-scale EM dataset from the cortex that provides dense ground truth segmentation for axons, making it difficult to develop and evaluate large-scale axon reconstruction methods. To address this, we introduce the AxonEM dataset, which consists of two 30x30x30 um^3 EM image volumes from the human and mouse cortex, respectively. We thoroughly proofread over 18,000 axon instances to provide dense 3D axon instance segmentation, enabling large-scale evaluation of axon reconstruction methods. In addition, we densely annotate nine ground truth subvolumes for training, per each data volume. With this, we reproduce two published state-of-the-art methods and provide their evaluation results as a baseline. We publicly release our code and data at https://connectomics-bazaar.github.io/proj/AxonEM/index.html to foster the development of advanced methods.
Reconstruction of tracheal defects with tracheal grafts is not practicable clinically because the problem of tracheal graft revascularization has not been solved successfully. We conducted ...experiments to investigate efficacy of implanting tracheal graft into the greater omentum for revascularization and possibility of adopting staged transplantation procedure for repair of tracheal defect.
Twenty-four mongrel dogs were randomly and equally divided into groups I and II. Six-ring cervical tracheal segments were harvested as autografts. The grafts were wrapped with the omentum and placed into the peritoneal cavity in group I, and reimplanted with omentopexy in group II. Four grafts were examined macroscopically, microscopically, and
35S-autoradiographically on postoperative days 3, 7, and 14, respectively.
Epithelium loss was evident in the mucosas of the grafts except the 4 from group I. Percentages of viable chondrocytes assessed with
35S-autoradiography were significantly higher in tracheal grafts from group I than group II. All tracheal grafts with their own omental pedicles could be brought to any portions of the trachea.
We conclude that prior implantation of tracheal graft in the omentum is beneficial for preservation of its structure, and reconstruction of a tracheal defect with a tracheal graft implanted first into the omentum is feasible.
A novel Ku-band single layer bandpass filter using open-loop and quarter-wavelength resonators based on LTCC technology is proposed A pair of transmission zeros is introduced by the cross coupling, ...which can improve the attenuation near the passband. The size of the filter is about 6mm × 6mm × 0.288mm, about 0.75λ g × 0.75 λ g . To reduce the filter's size, a modified filter with multilayer structure is designed. It has a center frequency of 15.4 GHz with bandwidth of 800 MHz, a size of only 0.75 λ g × 0.5 λ g . After verification, these filters are suitable for the Ku-band integrated RF front end.
Traditional defensive techniques are usually static and passive, and appear weak to confront highly adaptive and stealthy attacks. As a novel security theory, Cyberspace Mimic Defense (CMD) creates ...asymmetric uncertainty that favors the defender. CMD constructs multiple executors which are diverse functional equivalent variants for the protected target and arbitral mechanism. In this way, CMD senses the results of current running executors and changes the attack surface. Although CMD enhances the security of systems, there are still some critical gaps with respect to design a defensive strategy under costs and security. In this paper, we propose a dual model to dynamically select the number of executors being reconfigured according to the states of the executors. First, we establish a Markov anti-attack model to compare the effects of CMD under different types of attack. Then, we use a dynamic game of incomplete information to determine the optimal strategy, which achieves the balance of the number of reconfiguration and security. Finally, experimental results show that our dual model reduces defensive costs while guarantees security.
The clinicopathologic features of carcinomas of the esophagus and the cardia in young patients were reviewed in a study of 1302 consecutively treated patients. The patients were divided into two ...groups, with group I aged under 40 years and group II over 40 years. There were no significant differences between the two groups with regard to sex ratio, duration of the principal symptoms, and 5-year and 10-year survivals. The main clinicopathologic difference between the young patients and the older ones was that the carcinomas in young patients were more likely to invade the surrounding tissues. Local lymph node metastases and microscopic residual tumor at the line of resection were also more prevalent in the young patients, but not to a statistically significant degree. These findings suggested that the clinical and pathologic features of carcinomas of the esophagus and the cardia in young patients were not significantly different from those in older patients.
To compare the lingual region upper airway CT scan results of OSAS patients and normal adults to explore if there are upper airway stricture in OSAS patients and the reason of stricture.
59 patients ...with OSAS and 57 normal adults were included in the study. CT evaluated the lingual region upper airway with the use of a Philips Tomoscan AV Expander E1 spiral scanner. The shapes of lingual region upper airway were observed. The area and the dimensions of lingual region was studied, and the thickness of retropharyngeal and lateral pharyngeal tissue were evaluated too. The another focus area was tongue, and the evaluated data included the tongue width, genioglossus width, hyogolssus width, tongue length and tongue area.
The data comparative results of OSAS and normal groups were as follows: the right to left diameter and area of OSAS patients' lingual region upper airways were less than those of normal adults, the thickness of lateral pharyngeal, tongue width, genioglossus width, hyogolssus width and tongue area
The mouse provides a very useful model for human cardiovascular disease. Consequently, there is significant need for noninvasive approaches for assessing left ventricular function in the setting of ...various cardiovascular pathophysiological conditions induced in normal and genetically-modified mice. In this work, myocardial contrast echocardiography (MCE) was used to identify regions of ischemia within ultrasound images of the left ventricular myocardium in closed-chest, intact mice. Contrast agent was infused at a constant rate and, periodically, high intensity, contrast destructive frames were applied. Thereafter, an exponential refill curve was fitted to the mean gray scale value within the selected region of interest. Perfusion was investigated before, during and immediately after an induced ischemic event. As anticipated, a significantly reduced refill rate was observed during ischemia. The refill exponential rate constant was observed to decline by 35% in the region of myocardium affected by the induced ischemia.
