The current study investigated the impact of cold stress on the morphological, physiological, and phytochemical properties of
L. (
) using in vitro microclone cultures. The study revealed significant ...stress-induced changes in the production of secondary antioxidant metabolites. According to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analyses, the stress conditions profoundly altered the metabolism of
microclones. Although the overall spectrum of metabolites was reduced, the production of key secondary antioxidant metabolites significantly increased. Notably, there was a sevenfold (7×) increase in juglone concentration. These findings are crucial for advancing walnut metabolomics and enhancing our understanding of plant responses to abiotic stress factors. Additionally, study results aid in identifying the role of individual metabolites in these processes, which is essential for developing strategies to improve plant resilience and tolerance to adverse conditions.
Measurement of the number of spectators in nucleus-nucleus collisions could be used to determine the number of nucleons participating in the interaction, i.e. get information about collision ...centrality. However, at energies of the NICA collider energy resolution of the forward hadron calorimeter is insufficient for separation of the amplitudes corresponding to different number of spectators. Uncertainty in the number of spectators leads to a large error in determining the centrality. For central events inaccuracy in determining the collision parameter is about 40%, for peripheral ones, no better than 30% at a beam energy of 2.5 A×GeV. The multiplicity scintillator detector will allow to obtain more accurate data. A certain method is proposed for determining the centrality, taking into account the real MPD installation geometry.
The paper discusses issues related to the creation of a database of materials for industrial and medicine applications. This database is developed to accumulate information about the mechanical and ...other properties of materials under study and the corresponding sources of information. The paper mainly focused on organizing the change log of the described database. The change log allows one to store, display and analyse all changes made in the database. The technical solutions are presented allowing to implement universal models for logging changes that are invariant with respect to the composition and structure of the tables used.
Abstract
A brief analysis of the available technologies for growing
Artemia
in the world and in Russia is given in the paper. The conditions for production of
Artemia
in natural reservoirs with a ...local
Artemia
population are shown. The results of laboratory experiments on reducing the incubation time of cysts to 2-23 hours (instead of the standard 24-48 hours) and the inoculation of nauplii and non-hatched cysts into the brine of natural lakes with salinity of 101, 125, 225 and 333‰ are given in details. The following indicators are analyzed: the rate of hatching during incubation, the rate of hydration of cysts during incubation and dehydration in brine; the survival rate of nauplii in brine, the possibility of hatching nauplii from cysts in brine with different salinity. The results of long-term observations of the survival of
Artemia
crustaceans in the brine of the lake in the absence of feeding are also presented. It is possible to reduce the incubation time to 6-20 hours is concluded in the paper. The dependence of the duration of incubation of cysts on the temperature, quality of cysts and salinity of natural brine was noted. To determine the optimal incubation time of cysts the formulas for calculating T
90
according to the temperature and salinity of brine for cysts of different quality are given.

Results of experimental studies of diffusion combustion of hydrogen microjets performed in recent years are presented. Specific features of the hydrogen flow structure and hydrogen combustion are ...studied for various shapes of the nozzle, jet exhaustion velocity, and gravitation. Hydrogen combustion in mixtures with other gases and periodic actions on microjets (in the case considered, by external acoustic disturbances, is also considered.
The composition of an ethanol extract from the roots of
Losinsk of the Trans-Ili Alatau wild flora was studied in order to determine its antiulcer activity. The phytochemical composition of the ...anthraquinone-flavonoid complex from (AFC)
revealed the presence of numerous polyphenolic compounds, the most abundant of which are anthraquinones (1.77%), flavonoids (6.95%), and tannins (13.39%). The use of column chromatography (CC) and thin-layer chromatography (TLC) in conjunction with UV, IR, NMR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry data allowed the researchers to isolate and identify the major components of the anthraquinone-flavonoid complex's polyphenol fraction: physcion, chrysophanol, emodin, isorhamnetin, quercetin, and myricetin. The gastroprotective effect of the polyphenolic fraction of the anthraquinone-flavonoid complex (AFC) of
roots was examined in an experimental model of rat gastric ulcer induced by indomethacin. The preventive and therapeutic effect of the anthraquinone-flavonoid complex at a dose of 100 mg/kg was analyzed using intragastric administration per day for 1 to 10 days, followed by a histological examination of stomach tissues. It has been demonstrated that prophylactic and prolonged use of the AFC
in laboratory animals resulted in significantly less pronounced hemodynamic and desquamative changes in the epithelium of gastric tissues. The acquired results thus offer fresh insight into the anthraquinone and flavonoid metabolite component composition of
roots, and they imply that the examined extract can be used to develop herbal medicines with antiulcer activity.
A method for determining the weights of a binary neural network based on its decomposition into elementary modules is presented. The approach allows tuning the weight coefficients of all the network ...connections at the stage of its designing, which eliminates the implementation of time-consuming iterative algorithms for training the network during its operation. An algorithm and an example of calculating the weights are given.
A detector for adjusting the convergence of beams at the point of interaction of the MPD (multi-purpose detector) installation at the NICA collider (nuclotron-based ion collider facility) is ...discussed. Simulation of the detector operation for Au
Au collisions at
GeV is calculated. It is shown that background events from scattering on residual gas give a negligible contribution to the detector’s samples. It is discussed how to use a detector to adjust beam alignment. The calibration procedure for obtaining absolute luminosity in the MPD interaction zone with the help of this detector is considered.
Abstract
The possibility of state estimation for a dynamic system with nonlinearities in the equations of dynamics and measurements using the Singular Transformations Method is discussed. The ...features of the proposed approach application are considered. For a methodological example, the equations for the required estimates are specified and the estimation accuracy analysis is carried out.
