To investigate the role of TLR-NF-κB signaling pathway in pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis (AR) and the mechanism of TLR to modulate innate immunity and adaptive immunity.
One hundred rats were ...divided into 5 groups by simple randomization, normal group(group A), modle group(group B), AR+LPS20 group(group C), AR+LPS10 group(group D), AR+LPS5 group(group E). Model of AR in B group was established by intraperitoneal injection and nasal topic delivery of ovalbumin (OVA). A group was delivered of same volume physiological saline instated of OVA, C,D,E group were interfered by nasal delivery of LPS in different concentration (including LPS 20 µg, 10 µg, 5 µg per 100 µl). Changes of nasal mucosa tissues and inflammatory cell infiltration were observed by HE staining, while neutrophil and eosinophil counted under high power microscope.Expression of IL-4, IFN-γ, and IgE in nasal mucosa tissues were measured with immunohistochemical method.Realtime-PCR and Western-blot were used to evaluate the expression level of TL
The rapid development of smart grid causes a large increase of power equipments. Power insulator is one of the most important infrastructures in the power transmission lines which is vital to ensure ...the safe operation of power system. As a common defect, the missing-cap issues will affect the structural strength of power insulators and the safe operation of power lines. Consequently, the monitoring and assessment of abnormal power insulators are of extreme importance for the safe power transmission lines. Due to the good feature expression ability, machine learning algorithms have got much applications on power line inspection, and they could be divided into two categories: shallow learning and deep learning algorithms. Nevertheless, the defect recognition issues on power insulators are always against complex power inspection environment. It will bring a certain effect to the handcrafted feature design of shallow learning algorithms. Meanwhile, the small-scale defect data set will affect the model training of the deep network model. To address the above issues, aimed at the feature of the limited processing power of airborne processor, a novel lightweight defect detection algorithm is proposed for the defects of power insulators which fuses the advantages of shallow learning and deep learning models. Firstly, an insulator location algorithm based on lightweight deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) model is proposed to remove the disturbance of complex backgrounds and serve the high-precision defect detection. On the basis, the high-level image feature based on the improved transfer learning is acquired to effectively distinguish the normal and abnormal power insulators. Finally, a defect recognition method based on Support Vector Machine (SVM) is proposed to solve the small-scale defect detection issue. Experiments show that the proposed method could well meet the precision and speed demands of power system compared with other inspection methods.
Phosphorus (P) is one of the 17 elements essential for plant growth and development, and is also a key component in some agrochemicals, such as phosphorous acid. Thus, there are two types of P ...closely associated with crop production. The similarity of terms such as phosphoric acid and phosphorous acid may create some confusion as to the actual content and efficacy of these products. This revised 7-page fact sheet explains what phosphorous acid is and examines both its fungicidal activity and nutrient value. Written by Asha M. Brunings, Guodong Liu, Eric H. Simonne, Shouan Zhang, Yuncong Li, and Lawrence E. Datnoff, and published by the UF Department of Horticultural Sciences, March 2012.

Fermentation, formulation and drying studies are necessary and important in order to simplify production, transportation, storage and application of biocontrol agents. Air-drying is a convenient and ...economical drying method for developing microbial biocontrol products. Experiments were designed to determine the effect of temperature shock during liquid cultivation on cell survival of a Fusarium head blight biocontrol agent Cryptococcus nodaensis OH 182.9 after air-drying. OH 182.9 cultures were grown at various temperatures in semi-defined complete liquid media, with cultures grown at 25°C for 48 h serving as the standard control culture condition. Harvested cultures were mixed with 10% diatomaceous earth (DE), vacuum filtered, air dried for 20 h at 60-70% RH, and stored at 4°C. In general, cells grown at 25°C for 20 h followed by cultivation at 15°C for 28 h survived air-drying better than control cells. The survival of cells subjected to heat shock at 31°C generally did not differ from control cells regardless of whether heat shock was applied at the late exponential or early stationary stage of growth. In another experiment designed to optimize the effect of cold temperatures during cultivation on subsequent survival of air-dried cells in DE at 4°C and room temperature (25°C), prolonged (28 h) cold shock at 10 and 15°C after incubation at 25°C for 20 h enhanced the storage stability (shelf-life) of a DE-formulated OH 182.9 product. In greenhouse tests, air-dried cells of OH 182.9 stored for 6 weeks at 4°C maintained a higher biocontrol efficacy than cells stored for 6 weeks at 25°C.
