This study examines how blended learning (BL) was used for teacher training and retraining during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, based on a systematic analysis of 27 scientific sources from the ...Scopus database. BL is a flexible and personalized mode of learning that combines face-to-face, synchronous, and asynchronous distance learning methods, as well as various ICT tools and pedagogical technologies. The study identifies the main approaches, benefits, and challenges of BL implementation in teacher education. It reveals that BL can enhance teachers’ access to resources, communication, interaction, collaboration, reflection, and creativity. However, it also requires reliable technology, technical support, and adequate training for both teachers and students.
This article discusses blended learning (BL) as an optimal way to organize the educational process during crises, such as a pandemic or war. The article aims to answer two research questions: 1) What ...is the appropriate Ukrainian scientific term for "blended learning" given the country's European integration processes? 2) What is the meaning of the term "blended learning"? The analysis leads to the conclusion that the appropriate Ukrainian scientific term for "blended learning" is "kombinovane navchannia". The article defines blended learning as a planned, pedagogically balanced, adaptive combination, integration, and interpenetration of technologies (face-to-face and distance learning, formal and informal learning, real and virtual, individual and collective learning) with the aim of optimally satisfying the educational needs of participants in the educational process through the use of intelligent technologies.
Augmented reality (AR) and machine learning (ML) are rapidly growing technologies with immense potential for transforming education. Web-based augmented reality (WebAR) provides a promising approach ...to delivering immersive learning experiences on mobile devices. Integrating machine learning models into WebAR applications can enable advanced interactive effects by responding to user actions, thus enhancing the educational content. However, there is a lack of effective methodologies to teach students WebAR development with integrated machine learning. This paper proposes a methodology with three main steps: (1) Integrating standard TensorFlow.js models like handpose into WebAR scenes for gestures and interactions; (2) Developing custom image classification models with Teachable Machine and exporting to TensorFlow.js; (3) Modifying WebAR applications to load and use exported custom models, displaying model outputs as augmented reality content. The proposed methodology is designed to incrementally introduce machine learning integration, build an understanding of model training and usage, and spark ideas for using machine learning to augment educational content. The methodology provides a starting point for further research into pedagogical frameworks, assessments, and empirical studies on teaching WebAR development with embedded intelligence.
Cataclysms such as the COVID-19 pandemic or the Russian invasion of Ukraine have had an irreversible impact on all spheres of human life. Therefore, it is crucial to monitor the needs of participants ...in specific processes to be able to respond to them dynamically. In this regard, a survey was conducted with 331 respondents from 13 institutions of higher education in Ukraine. The questionnaire consisted of four blocks: general questions (age, gender, educational institution, year of study, location, etc.), technical block (availability of technical means, access to the Internet, etc.), psychological block (respondents’ state), and educational block (availability of opportunities to continue educational activities). To answer some questions, a sample was made by regions of Ukraine to understand whether there is a significant difference between regions where active hostilities are taking place and regions that are conditionally safer. The article aims to present the results and analysis of the answers and offer suggestions for teachers on implementing educational activities based on the obtained results. The survey showed that teachers of higher education institutions take into account the peculiarities of the current situation in Ukraine. Most institutions implemented blended/distance learning to ensure all participants' safety in the educational process. Among the recommendations are the introduction of video recording of online classes and increased use of non-formal education opportunities, particularly MOOC courses.
This study employs bibliometric analysis to investigate the landscape of research on lifelong learning quality. Examining 218 publications from 1969 to 2020, we explore trends, topics, and ...collaborative networks. Our analysis reveals a surge of interest post-2000, covering diverse domains. Through clustering keywords, we identify themes like continuing education and quality assurance. Collaboration patterns among authors, institutions, and countries are also illuminated. This study offers insights into the complex realm of lifelong learning quality, providing a foundation for further research.
The article is devoted to the analysis of foreign experience in determining the criteria for assessing the effectiveness of scientific and pedagogical research. Thus, the problems of qualified ...analysis of the source base and reproducibility of research, the use of formal scientometric indicators, altmetric approaches, and digital libraries are considered. Another conclusion of authors is to ensure the reliability of the results, and, accordingly, for higher evaluation indicators of research performance, peer-reviewed publications indexed in scientometric databases should be used as primary sources. At the same time, the implementation of a digital identifier (first of all DOI), the provision of open data of research results, and the availability of copies in digital institutional repositories also contribute to higher performance indicators of scientific and pedagogical research. Despite the implementation of various new scientometric indicators, still the most used is the citation (H-index). Altmetric indicators receive data from social networks. Articles are published in them have a faster release of the results. But many scientists still doubt whether there is a direct relationship between the publication impact according to the classical and altmetric approaches. The main reason for this is the authors’ ability to artificially influence some impact indicators.
This paper highlights the crucial need to establish clear criteria and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the scientific activity of research and academic staff. By carefully examining ...different dimensions of research activity, this study identifies and describes a comprehensive set of criteria and relevant indicators. These include involvement in project competitions (preparation, participation, and student engagement), scholarly publication outputs (journals, conferences, monographs, and student mentoring), scientometric measures (indexing and citations), altmetric considerations (digital repositories, online presence, and social media impact), expert contributions (peer review, committee participation, editorial roles, and conference organization), and representative scholarly achievements (dissertation defense, academic and honorary titles, awards, supervision, international engagement, and language skills). It is emphasized that these identified criteria can be categorized into publication and dissemination, exploitation, and impact on the academic community. By using this comprehensive framework, educational institutions can effectively assess the quality, impact, and contribution of the activities of research and academic staff, thereby promoting research excellence and educational progress.

The analysis of scientific sources allowed to generalize the ...concept of “professional soft competencies” as follows: it is a set of non-specialized competencies that in one way or another relate to problem solving, interaction between people and are responsible for successful participation in the work process, high productivity and , in contrast to specialized competencies, not related to a specific area, equipment control and technical skills. They cover the following aspects of behavior: situational awareness, decision making, error management, interpersonal communication, and so on. In general, these competencies are important for software developers, as software development projects are organized on the basis of teams or groups, where software engineers make up the majority of the team.

The purpose of the study is to highlight the theoretical and methodological aspects of preparing the test questions of the most common types in the form of text files for further import into learning ...management system (LMS) Moodle. The subject of the research is the automated filling of the Moodle LMS test database. The objectives of the study: to analyze the import files of test questions, their advantages and disadvantages; to develop guidelines for the preparation of test questions of common types in the form of text files for further import into Moodle LMS. The action algorithms for importing questions and instructions for submitting question files in such formats as Aiken, GIFT, Moodle XML, “True/False” questions, “Multiple Choice” (one of many and many of many), “Matching”, with an open answer — “Numerical” or “Short answer” and “Essay” are offered in this article. The formats for submitting questions, examples of its designing and developed questions were demonstrated in view mode in Moodle LMS.

Research Methods: The study involved the analysis of the regulatory framework of documents for the training of doctors of philosophy, standards of higher education, scientific and methodological literature, educational and scientific programs of higher educational institutions. The results of the study consist in highlighting the main aspects that should be taken into account for the successful accreditation of educational and scientific programs.
