—An algorithm for estimating the yield strength increment as a result of solid-solution and precipitation hardening of the surface-alloyed layers in iron, which are formed during combined saturation ...with a nitride-forming metal (Cr, V, Ti, W, Mo) and nitrogen. The input parameter for the estimating calculations is the alloying metal concentration in iron, which is quantitatively related to the structural factors of hardening, namely, the concentration of dissolved nitrogen and the volume fraction of precipitated nitrides. A high degree of correlation is found between the calculated hardening parameters and the microhardness of the modified layers in armco iron after diffusion metallization (by chromium, titanium, and vanadium) and nitriding.
The article discusses the effect of preliminary oxidation on the properties of 38Cr2MoAl nitrided steel. A three-stage process consisting of pre-oxidation, nitriding, and subsequent vapor oxidation ...is described. The advantage of three-stage processes over stepwise nitriding is demonstrated in terms of increased wear resistance of the oxynitride layer given different types of lubrication. In addition, oxynitrided steel is characterized by increased strength and ductility during bending tests, as well as higher corrosion resistance in salt spray tests as compared to non-nitrided and chrome-plated steel.
The work proposes a method for increasing performance properties of zinc coatings on the steels obtained by cold galvanizing to increase their reliability and durability. As a result of annealing the ...zinc coating in ammonia medium, formation of a strengthened modified layer was experimentally established due to the occurrence of diffusion processes both in the substrate steel and in the zinc coating. The structure of the strengthened layer ensures increased wear resistance of the nitrided zinc coating and an increase in the adhesion strength of the coating to the substrate. An increase in the corrosion resistance of nitrided zinc coatings in various media has been shown: saline solution, weakly acidic medium, sea water and salt fog, which is due to a combination of cathodic and barrier protection mechanisms.
To evaluate the features of voice disorders associated with novel coronavirus infection and to develop the clinical algorithm for diagnostic and treatment these patients.
A prospective observational ...study was conducted in patients with dysphonia after COVID-19 (
=60). All patients underwent a comprehensive voice assessment before and after the proposed treatment. The follow-up period was 1 month.
Functional dysphonia or aphonia with a stable (refractory) or recurrent course was diagnosed in 58 (97%) patients. A tendency to an increase in the value of the latent period of the P300 and MMN in patients with voice disorder was revealed. There was a significant decrease in supraglottic constriction and glottal insufficiency before and after the treatment. The mean VHI-10 decreased from 25.4 before treatment to 15.3 after treatment. The DSI which is based on the set of voice measurements, statistically significant improved from -5.2 to 2.6 in patients as a result of treatment. The average value of MFI-20 improved from 65.4 (8.7) at the beginning of the study to 20.3 (5.3) after treatment.
In patients with dysphonia or aphonia associated with COVID-19 are indicated a refractory type of dysphonia. This was indicated by the study of AEPs of the brain. The clinical algorithm for treatment and diagnostic patients with voice disorders after COVID-19 has been developed. The treatment of this group of patients should be adjunct by the drug therapy, kinesiotaping method and psychotherapy.
Myrciaria cauliflora (jaboticaba) is an edible fruit common in Brazil that has been used for treating respiratory diseases, including chronic tonsillitis and asthma. This study explores the ...distribution of an anti-inflammatory depside, jaboticabin, in different parts of the jaboticaba plant as well as major polyphenols from the wood of jaboticaba, some with biological activity similar to jaboticabin. The peel of the fruit was found to be the major source of jaboticabin. This is the first phytochemical study of the wood of M. cauliflora. The antioxidant-activity-guided fractionation strategy successfully identified 3,3′-dimethylellagic acid-4-O-sulfate from jaboticaba wood. This ellagic acid derivative, in a manner similar to jaboticabin, showed antiradical activity and inhibited the production of the chemokine interleukin-8 after treating the human small airway epithelial cells with cigarette smoke extract. The human intestinal Caco-2 cell studies demonstrated the jaboticabin transport in vitro. The polyphenols, jaboticabin and 3,3′-dimethyellagic acid-4-O-sulfate, from jaboticaba were both found to exhibit anti-inflammatory activities, thus suggesting the potential use of these compounds or even the fruits themselves for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

mutant Sp245.4-1-1 accumulated two times less biomass than did those of Sp245. Introduction of pRK415-p60123 into the cells of Sp245.4-1-1 or Sp245 resulted in a respective increase or decrease in the ability of the resulting derivative strains to accumulate biofilm biomass, as compared with the original strains.
The paper considers the gas nitriding process with cyclic alternation of atmospheres: ammonia and an ammonia mixture with air for strengthening the corrosion-resistant high-alloyed steel ...03Cr11Ni10Mo2Ti, designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures. The formation in steel of a nitrided layer of 130-150μm thickness with increased microhardness (more than 12GPa) is shown experimentally. During the final stage in the ammonia and air environment, iron oxides remain in the compound zone, and a sharp drop in hardness is observed at the border of the core. At the completion of the cyclic process with the stage of saturation in ammonia, a nitrides zone is formed based on the γ′-phase, the layer thickness increases (up to 180(...200μm) and the microhardness profile is smoothed, which reduces the risk of embrittlement.

The authors present 2 patients. One of them had typical multifocal primary multiple synchronous wild-type IDH1/2 glioblastoma subtype RTK1, chromosome 7 duplication, homozygous CDKN2A deletion and ...chromosome 10 deletion. In another patient, the nature of tumors remains debatable. We can talk about either a rare atypical case of metachronous multicentric various glial tumors (oligodendroglioma, IDH1-mutant and 1p/19q-codeleted, WHO grade 2 and RTK2-glioblastoma) or secondary glioblastoma after previous oligodendroglioma arose a year after radiotherapy.
Attention focuses on the surface saturation of carbon steel with chromium and nickel, with simultaneous nitriding. For surface saturation, slip based on nickel and chromium-oxide powder mixture is ...employed. The structure of the modified layers, the microhardness, and the wear resistance are investigated. The conditions required to create a layer whose composition resembles that of classic austenitic Х18Н10 chromonickel steel are determined.
