Através das articulações teórico-metodológicas dos Estudos Culturais e das epistemologias decoloniais, neste artigo pretendemos perceber de que modo as marcas nativas da cultura hip-hop podem ...empreender seus esforços pela decolonialidade, pelo resgate da ancestralidade, história e identidade dos povos subalternizados que julgam representar. Uma breve exploração de alguns objetos por onde se materializam as formas de representação do Laboratório Fantasma demonstra em que medida a marca empenhou-se pelo reconhecimento de um sentido estético e político em sua trajetória e seu papel na cultura hip-hop brasileira.

Deste modo, pretende-se discutir as contribuições do grupo e de seus videoclipes na transformação da marca alemã em um dos símbolos de ostentação e consumo de uma cultura originária de comunidades negras americanas.
The reputation of the sporting goods brand Adidas allowed for its incorporation into the symbolic universe of various urban subcultures around the world. The hip-hop culture and its adherents also ...inserted themselves into this context in a very peculiar way, linking Adidas to their repertoire of identity symbols. Thus, the main objective of this paper is to analyze the performances of the American rap group Run DMC and Adidas, as well as their communication strategies in the construction and appropriation of cultural values through the symbolic interpretation of gestures and the outfits of the artists using the brand in their videos. Thus, we intend to discuss the contributions of the group and their music videos in the transformation of the German brand into a symbol of ostentation and consumption for an original culture of African American communities. , and the H1N1 virus, using contact exposure tests. Results showed that the alloy was capable of inactivating these pathogens in two hours or less, indicating its strong antimicrobial activity. Electrochemical measurements were also performed, revealing that the small addition of silver to copper promoted a higher resistance to corrosion and shifted the formation of copper ions to higher potentials. This shift led to a slow but continuous release of Cu
ions, which have high biocidal activity. These findings show that the addition of small amounts of silver to copper can enhance its biocidal properties and improve its effectiveness as an antimicrobial material.
Due to the low cost of broadband systems, there is a substantial growth in the indoor deployment of networks based on IEEE 802.11 standards, and their expressive insertion in domestic and labor ...environments. The proximity of those systems to the general population has been raising questions about the risks of exposure to the so-called non-ionizing radiation (NIR), since network equipment is radiofrequency electromagnetic field emitter. This work aims to measure and evaluate the levels of Non-Ionizing Radiation (NIR) by verifying the intensity of the NIR generated by the wireless network devices in residential environments. The ISM 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies used in Wi-Fi systems are the focus of this investigation. The measurements were conducted and analyzed according to Act No. 458 (January 2019) of the National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) and Law no 11. 934 (May 2009). Measurements of electric field (EF, in V/m) are compared to the exposure limits for the general public, as established by Brazilian legislation. Thus, the highest measurement for EF peak value was 7.16 V/m, corresponding to a percentage of 11.74 % of ANATEL limit.
Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) is a frequent cause of young-onset dementia and represents a major challenge for the diagnosis and clinical management. It is essential to evaluate the difficulties ...faced by physicians on the diagnostic workup and on patient care.
The aim of this study was to investigate the current practices and the local limits on the diagnosis and management of FTD in Brazil.
We elaborated an online survey, composed of 29 questions and divided in four parts, comprising questions about existing health facilities, clinical practices related to FTD, and suggestions to increment the national research on FTD. The invitation to participate was sent by email to all neurologists affiliated to the Brazilian Academy of Neurology (
= 3658), and to all physicians who attended the XII Meeting of Researchers on Alzheimer's disease, in 2019 (
= 187). The invitation was also diffused through social media.
256 Brazilian physicians answered the questionnaire. The three most relevant disorders for the differential diagnosis of FTD were Alzheimer's disease (AD) (
= 211), bipolar disorder (
= 117) and dementia with Lewy bodies (
= 92). Most respondents (125/256) reported the difficulty in performing genetic testing as the main limit in the diagnostic of FTD. 93% and 63% of participants considered that the assessment of social cognition and AD CSF biomarkers are useful for the diagnosis of FTD, respectively.
The present study may provide valuable insights for the medical education and clinical training of physicians, and to foster future research on FTD in Brazil.
Toxocariasis is an infection caused by the round worms Toxocara canis and Toxocara cati. It occurs worldwide though it is more prevalent in developing countries. For the diagnosis of toxocariasis, ...the most used method is the indirect enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (indirect ELISA), based on the detection of specific antibodies using the excreted/secreted products from T. canis larvae (TES) as antigens, but it cross‐reacts with several helminth infections. For this reason, there is a need to investigate species‐specific immunoreactive proteins, which can be used for the development of a more sensitive and specific diagnosis. This study aims to investigate immunoreactive protein candidates to be used for the development of a more sensitive and specific diagnosis of Toxocara spp. infection in humans. We have used immunoblotting and mass spectrometry to select four Toxocara canis immunoreactive proteins that were recombinantly expressed in bacteria and evaluated as potential new diagnostic antigens (rMUC3, rTES 26, rTES32 and rCTL4). The recognition of these recombinant proteins by total serum IgG and IgG4 was assayed using the purified proteins in an isolated manner or in combination. The IgG ELISAs performed with individual recombinant antigens reached values of sensitivity and specificity that ranged from 91.7% to 97.3% and 94.0% to 97.9%, respectively. Among the analyses, the IgG4 immunoassay was proven to be more effective, revealing a sensitivity that ranged from 88.8% to 98.3% and a specificity of 97.8%–97.9%. The IgG4 ELISA was shown to be more effective and presented no cross‐reactivity when using combinations of the rTES 26 and rCTL4 recombinant proteins. The combination of these two molecules achieved 100% sensitivity and specificity. The use of only two recombinant proteins can contribute to improve the current panorama of toxocariasis immunodiagnosis for, with a better optimization and reduced cost.
