The described system is designed to measure the field map of pulse bending magnets of accelerators. As an example, the magnet, which is an element of the particle bypass channel from the booster to ...the nuclotron of the NICA complex, which is being created at JINR, is chosen. have led to the development of a method based on the use of Hall probes. The article substantiates the developed method, describes its capabilities, and the hardware developed for conducting measurements. In the conclusions, results of measurements of pulsed bending magnets of the booster–nuclotron channel are presented and analyzed.

These results are consistent with the previous experiments.

VEPP-4 is a multipurpose storage ring facility at Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics (Novosibirsk, Russia) with several research programs including high energy physics in colliding beam mode, ...nuclear physics, synchrotron radiation, accelerator physics study, etc. The paper discusses VEPP-4 activities relating to generation and application of synchrotron radiation not only for SR user community but for beam diagnostics in storage ring as well.

A kicker magnet has been developed for the NICA accelerator complex at the JINR (Dubna) for ejecting ions into the beamline that connects the Booster and Nuclotron synchrotrons. An asymmetric ...design of the magnet without a ferromagnetic core is used to obtain the required magnetic field of 0.17–0.18 T in the region of the extracted beam. A power-supply system is proposed for the kicker magnet; it is based on two generators with different polarities, which are connected from opposite ends. This kicker magnet has made it possible to successfully extract He and Fe ions from the NICA Booster in accordance with the specified parameters.
In order to study the properties of dense baryonic matter, an accelerator complex is under development at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna, Russia) within the new NICA project. The ...NICA project assumes the use of accelerated ion beams ranging from protons to gold ions with relativistic energies up to 4.5 GeV/nucleon. To design experiments, it is necessary to have information on the efficiency of the yield of bare gold nuclei formed at the passage of a gold ion beam with energies of about several hundreds of MeV per nucleon through a foil of a specialized stripping station at the output of the booster of the accelerator. In this work, the optimal conditions (material and thickness of the foil and the energy of the ion) for the formation of fractions of bare gold nuclei with a probability of 80–90% have been determined by calculating electron loss and capture cross sections, as well as the dynamics of charge states of gold ions colliding with copper and gold foils at energies of 400 and 600 MeV/nucleon,
