The purpose of this paper is to develop a variety of cell formation problem (CFP) that considers new concepts. Due to utilizing the machine flexibility causing system flexibility, multifunctional ...machines are used in the CFP. Machine-operation and part-operation are defined to introduce machine capabilities and part requirements, respectively. A novel solution approach with two phases is presented to solve the considered problem. First phase is a mathematical model proposed to define machines grouping. This model is seeking to minimize in-route machines dissimilarity. Second phase allocated to a heuristic method which assigns parts to corresponding cells. For validation the presented solution approach some test instances are solved: Two critical examples of CFP in, and a new one that design to illustrate the complete characteristics of the considered problem. Results show the capability of proposed approach in comparison with other methods to solve the variety of cell formation problems.

One of the critical success factors of event-driven systems is the capability of detecting complex events from simple and ordinary event notifications. Complex events which trigger or terminate ...actionable situations can be inferred from large event clouds or event streams based on their event instance sequence, their syntax and semantics. Using semantics of event algebra patterns defined on top of event instance sequences for event detection is one of the promising approaches for detection of complex events. The developments and successes in building standards and tools for semantic technologies such as declarative rules and ontologies are opening novel research and application areas in event processing. One of these promising application areas is semantic event processing. In this paper we contribute with a conceptual approach which supports the implementation of the vision of semantic event-driven systems; using Semantic Web technologies, benefiting from complex event processing, and ensuring quality through trust and reputation management. All of these novel technologies leads to more intelligent decision supporting systems.
The semantic Web and Web services have emerged as a new paradigm for knowledge-based applications, both human and machine controlled. The coordination of semantic clients or services is necessary to ...achieve goals only possible from the combination of knowledge based activities. Triple space computing is a new coordination paradigm based on semantics and tuplespaces which could be used for the coordination of semantic Web clients and services. Triple space computing substitutes synchronous message exchange for persistent publication of knowledge in virtual data stores called tuplespaces. A tuplespace based architecture can handle the scalability, heterogeneity and dynamism which arises in highly distributed environments. In this paper, we describe the important architectural decisions in our implementation of a semantic tuplespace based middleware. We report on our practical experiences, and the benefits and challenges of triple space computing as a new paradigm for semantic Web and Web service communication.
