We search for lepton-flavor and lepton-number-violating τ decays into a lepton (ℓ= electron or muon) and two charged mesons (h,h′=π± or K±) using 854 fb−1 of data collected with the Belle detector at ...the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider. We obtain 90% confidence level upper limits on the τ→ℓhh′ branching fractions in the range (2.0–8.4)×10−8. These results improve upon our previously published upper limits by factors of about 1.8 on average.
The aim of this study was to identify the effect of aerobic exercise on oxidative stress markers. This is a prospective study carried out as part of the work carried out by the pharmacology laboratory of the Sfax Faculty of Medicine.
The study population was divided into two groups, a group of regional judokas and a sedentary group. The test procedure consists of several blood samples: at rest (R), immediately at the end of each test (P0), then at 5min (P5), 10min (P10) and 20minutes (P20) of recovery. The measured parameters are SAT, GR, GPX, SOD, MDA and α-tocopherol.
The results of this study show that the practice of physical activity has a beneficial effect in the fight against the deleterious effects of free radicals and that the antioxidant state is modified following aerobic exercise. This type of study may be an approach that would allow the detection of athletes with significant oxidative stress and/or an antioxidant deficiency.
We report a measurement of the CP-violation parameter φ1 obtained in a time-dependent analysis of B0→D¯(*)0h0 decays followed by D¯0→KS0π+π− decay. A model-independent measurement is performed using ...the binned Dalitz plot technique. The measured value is φ1=11.7°±7.8°(stat)±2.1°(syst). Treating sin2φ1 and cos2φ1 as independent parameters, we obtain sin2φ1=0.43±0.27(stat)±0.08(syst) and cos2φ1=1.06±0.33(stat)−0.15+0.21(syst). The results are obtained with a full data sample of 772×106BB¯ pairs collected near the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider.
We report the first measurement of the charm-mixing parameter yCP in D0 decays to the CP-odd final state ... The study uses the full Belle e+e− annihilation data sample of 976 fb−1 taken at or near ...the ϒð4SÞ centre-of-mass energy. We find ..., where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic due to event selection and background, and the last is due to possible presence of CP-even decays in the data sample. The Central Drift Chamber of the BELLE detector at the KEK B-factory is a cylindrical wire chamber device that uses a helium-based gas and aluminum field wires and is situated in a 1.5 T magnetic ...field. The transverse momentum resolution for charged tracks with 1.0 GeV/
c transverse momentum is 0.35%. This paper describes the chamber's configuration and performance.
We report on the effect of Pt incorporation on the microstructural, optoelectronic and catalytic properties of TiO sub(2) thin films deposited by means of the pulsed-laser deposition (PLD) method. ...The structural, morphological, optoelectronic and catalytic properties of the deposited TiO sub(2):Pt films were systematically investigated, as a function of their Pt content, by means of various techniques including X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), atomic force microscopy, Fourier-transform infra-red spectroscopy and ellipsometry. The in situ doping of the PLD-TiO sub(2) films, at different Pt contents, was achieved by the concomitant laser ablation of a TiO sub(2) target uniformly covered with Pt wires. We show that by increasing the number of Pt wires positioned on the TiO sub(2) target from 1 to 4, the Pt concentration of the TiO sub(2):Pt films increases from 0.05 to 0.35 at.%. While the bandgap of room-temperature (RT) deposited films was found to be insensitive to their Pt content (remaining around the 3.2 eV anatase value), the TiO sub(2):Pt films deposited at high temperature (T sub(d) = 500 degree C) were found to exhibit a significant narrowing of their bandgap (from 3.3 to 2.45 eV), when their Pt content is increased (from 3.3 to 2.45 eV). From a structural point of view, while the RT-deposited TiO sub(2):Pt films deposited are mainly amorphous with the presence of some TiO sub(2) nanocrystallites whose density increases as Pt content increases, while those deposited at 500 degree C were found to crystallize in the anatase phase with their crystallinity improving with increasing Pt contents. XPS analyses have revealed that the incorporated Pt mainly exists in a metallic state, likely as nano-inclusions in an otherwise TiO sub(2) matrix. By being able to monitor the optoelectronic properties of the annealed TiO sub(2):Pt films through their Pt content, their photocatalytic activity was significantly improved with respect to that of their undoped TiO sub(2) counterpart. The enhancement of the photocatalytic activity is believed to be due to an enhanced photoabsorption of photons because of bandgap narrowing along with a better harvesting of the separated photogenerated charges.

To evaluate the effect of the anaerobic exercise on the enzymatic antioxidant statute in judokas’ regional level, because the effects of anaerobic exercise on the free radicals and antioxidants are relatively rare and have some divergences.
We made this study on ten male judokas (age

cm), which carried out 30 seconds anaerobic capacity test (Wingate test). Blood samples were taken, by an intravenous catheter, at rest (R), immediately after the Wingate test (P0) then five minutes later (P5), 10 minutes later (P10) then 20 minutes later (P20). The measured parameters are: the superoxide dismutase (SOD), the glutathion peroxidase (GPx) and the total antioxidant statute (SAT).
The concentration of the SOD increases significantly (
p
<
0.05) at (P0); and regains the baseline values at (P20). The concentration of GPx increases significantly (
p
<
0.05) in (P0); in (P10) GPx reaches the baseline values. No significant effect of the anaerobic exercise was observed on the concentration of the SAT. Positive correlation was observed between the SOD and GPx to
p
