Information technology's rapid development necessitates continuously updating IT professionals' skills and competencies. This study aims to select appropriate project management ICT tools to ...facilitate the informal education of IT company employees. The study utilized the expert evaluation method to formulate criteria and indicators for evaluating and selecting ICT tools across six categories: communication, planning, documentation, visualization and collaboration, software development, and real-time presentation feedback. Experts from leading IT companies assessed and ranked the proposed ICT tools based on the established criteria. The results identified Microsoft Teams for communication, Microsoft Project for planning, Microsoft 365 suite for documentation, Mural for visualization and collaboration, Azure DevOps for software development, and Mentimeter for real-time presentation feedback as the most suitable tools for informal education in IT companies. The selected ICT tools constitute a comprehensive toolkit to streamline educational activities and enhance informal learning experiences for IT professionals. The findings provide a foundation for implementing informal education programs within IT company resources, leveraging the selected project management ICT tools.
This study investigates the efficacy of large language model (LLM)-powered chatbots in guiding physics problem-solving, examining whether they can effectively supplement teacher-led learning. A ...customised chatbot was developed leveraging ChatGPT to provide step-by-step assistance through a structured problem-solving algorithm. Its impact was evaluated via an experimental study with 12th-grade physics students (N = 24) randomly assigned to a teacher-guided or chatbot-guided group for problem-solving practice. A Mann-Whitney U test revealed no significant differences in problem-solving competency between conditions. Qualitative analysis of conversational logs indicates the chatbot successfully emulated key teacher scaffolding behaviours. Our findings suggest AI tutors can deliver personalised, interactive support akin to human teachers, offering viable supplements to augment physics learning. Further research should explore optimising LLM training, human-chatbot balances, and impacts across diverse educational settings.
Cataclysms such as the COVID-19 pandemic or the Russian invasion of Ukraine have had an irreversible impact on all spheres of human life. Therefore, it is crucial to monitor the needs of participants ...in specific processes to be able to respond to them dynamically. In this regard, a survey was conducted with 331 respondents from 13 institutions of higher education in Ukraine. The questionnaire consisted of four blocks: general questions (age, gender, educational institution, year of study, location, etc.), technical block (availability of technical means, access to the Internet, etc.), psychological block (respondents’ state), and educational block (availability of opportunities to continue educational activities). To answer some questions, a sample was made by regions of Ukraine to understand whether there is a significant difference between regions where active hostilities are taking place and regions that are conditionally safer. The article aims to present the results and analysis of the answers and offer suggestions for teachers on implementing educational activities based on the obtained results. The survey showed that teachers of higher education institutions take into account the peculiarities of the current situation in Ukraine. Most institutions implemented blended/distance learning to ensure all participants' safety in the educational process. Among the recommendations are the introduction of video recording of online classes and increased use of non-formal education opportunities, particularly MOOC courses.
This paper highlights the crucial need to establish clear criteria and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the scientific activity of research and academic staff. By carefully examining ...different dimensions of research activity, this study identifies and describes a comprehensive set of criteria and relevant indicators. These include involvement in project competitions (preparation, participation, and student engagement), scholarly publication outputs (journals, conferences, monographs, and student mentoring), scientometric measures (indexing and citations), altmetric considerations (digital repositories, online presence, and social media impact), expert contributions (peer review, committee participation, editorial roles, and conference organization), and representative scholarly achievements (dissertation defense, academic and honorary titles, awards, supervision, international engagement, and language skills). It is emphasized that these identified criteria can be categorized into publication and dissemination, exploitation, and impact on the academic community. By using this comprehensive framework, educational institutions can effectively assess the quality, impact, and contribution of the activities of research and academic staff, thereby promoting research excellence and educational progress.
The article describes the possibilities of using massive open online courses (MOOC) in teaching the discipline "Fundamentals of Programming" to students majoring in software engineering. The content ...of studying the discipline "Fundamentals of Programming" and the number of hours allotted for its study in institutions of higher education in Ukraine is analyzed. When studying the discipline "Fundamentals of Programming" at the Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, the study of the corresponding course on the platform of massive open online courses Sololearn is submitted for independent work. A description of the possibilities of using this MOOC in teaching the discipline "Fundamentals of Programming" to future specialists in software engineering is presented. In addition, using a pedagogical experiment, the effectiveness of using the Sololearn in teaching the discipline "Fundamentals of Programming" to future software engineering specialists was tested. The results of the pedagogical experiment showed the effectiveness of using the MOOC Sololearn in teaching the "Fundamentals of Programming" to future software engineering specialists.
Augmented reality has a great impact on the student in the presentation of educational material: objects of augmented reality affect the development of facial expressions, attention, stimulate ...thinking, and increase the level of understanding of information. Its implementation in various spheres has indisputable advantages: realism, clarity, application in many industries, information completeness and interactivity. That is why the study presents the possibilities of using augmented reality in the study of mathematics, anatomy, physics, chemistry, architecture, as well as in other fields. The comparison of domestic and foreign proposals for augmented reality is presented. The use of augmented reality in various fields (technology, entertainment, science and medicine, education, games, etc.) should be well thought out and pedagogically appropriate. That is why in the future it is planned to conduct research on the feasibility of using augmented reality and to develop elements of augmented reality accordingly.

The analysis of scientific sources allowed to generalize the ...concept of “professional soft competencies” as follows: it is a set of non-specialized competencies that in one way or another relate to problem solving, interaction between people and are responsible for successful participation in the work process, high productivity and , in contrast to specialized competencies, not related to a specific area, equipment control and technical skills. They cover the following aspects of behavior: situational awareness, decision making, error management, interpersonal communication, and so on. In general, these competencies are important for software developers, as software development projects are organized on the basis of teams or groups, where software engineers make up the majority of the team.
Based on the analysis of sources on the problem of research, the article defines types of electronic educational resources (EER), general requirements for them, focuses on didactic and methodological ...requirements and existing holistic systems of psychological and pedagogical requirements for EER, presents the main types of parameters that can be used to evaluate the quality of EER, analyzes the typical structure of EER and characterizes its components. The analysis of approaches to defining the concepts of “immersiveness”, “immersive educational environment”, “immersive approach in education”, “immersive educational resources” (IER) was carried out, on the basis of which the relationship between the virtual environment and immersive learning environment was determined, the pedagogical aspects of learning in immersive environments were considered, the classification of IER was made. The main components of IER design and implementation are analyzed, and the essence of IER design and IER design methodology is determined. In the main part of the proposed general model of the methodology of IOR design and analyzed the goals, subjects of methods, stages, and content of training, forms of organization of the educational process, methods, teaching tools, and predicted results of the methodology. In the conclusion the elements of the methodology of IЕR design are presented, in particular, a complex IЕR in the form of a distance learning course, examples of designing prototypes of immersive teaching materials, etc. are considered.
