By the end of 2021, the elevators retention in our country has exceeded 8.7 million, which still maintains a steady growth of more than 10% after 2019, but the elevator injury accidents have not ...reduced in recent years under such circumstances of the manufacturing technology and maintenance. Most of the injury accidents result from the unintended car movement given rise to the failure of door system and breaks which causes shear and squeeze injury in the landing zone according to the statistics, so it is significant to stop the car within safe area by the unintended car movement protection system (UCMP) to prevent the accidents from happening. In this paper, the operating principle of breaking system of UCMP is simply analyzed, and the measuring method of stopping distance of the breaking subsystem is discussed.
The intensification of technological competition induced by digital technologies has underscored the significance of technical regulations and innovation systems, influencing the process of digital ...transformation in industries through the synergistic development trend of technical standards and intellectual property rights. This study focuses on the Chinese automotive industry, utilizing data from 155 Chinese listed automotive companies from 2016 to 2021 to analyze the impact and mechanism of action of the synergy between technical standards and intellectual property rights on digital transformation. The findings reveal that the synergy between technical standards and intellectual property rights exerts an impact on digital transformation, displaying an 'inverted U-shaped' curve effect. The influence of this synergy on new energy automotive companies and autonomous automotive companies is lower compared to non-new energy and non-autonomous automotive companies. Open innovation plays a partial mediating role in the impact of the synergy between technical standards and intellectual property rights on digital transformation, while environmental uncertainty exhibits a positive moderating effect in the impact of this synergy through open innovation on digital transformation. We finalize our study by deliberating on how our insights might inform and enhance the practical roadmap for advancing the digital transformation of industries, through the synergy between technical standards and intellectual property rights.
Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are well-known for their vulnerability to adversarial attacks, posing significant security concerns. In response to these threats, various defense methods have ...emerged to bolster the model's robustness. However, most existing methods either focus on learning from adversarial perturbations, leading to overfitting to the adversarial examples, or aim to eliminate such perturbations during inference, inevitably increasing computational burdens. Conversely, clean training, which strengthens the model's robustness by relying solely on clean examples, can address the aforementioned issues. In this paper, we align with this methodological stream and enhance its generalizability to unknown adversarial examples. This enhancement is achieved by scrutinizing the behavior of latent features within the network. Recognizing that a correct prediction relies on the correctness of the latent feature's pattern, we introduce a novel and effective Feature Pattern Consistency Constraint (FPCC) method to reinforce the latent feature's capacity to maintain the correct feature pattern. Specifically, we propose Spatial-wise Feature Modification and Channel-wise Feature Selection to enhance latent features. Subsequently, we employ the Pattern Consistency Loss to constrain the similarity between the feature pattern of the latent features and the correct feature pattern. Our experiments demonstrate that the FPCC method empowers latent features to uphold correct feature patterns even in the face of adversarial examples, resulting in inherent adversarial robustness surpassing state-of-the-art models.
Si/SiC hybrid switch offers an effective tradeoff between cost and performance, but suffers from complex switching processes and limited analytical theory. It is highly desirable to build a complete ...behavior model to investigate and characterize switching behavior for Si/SiC hybrid switch. In this paper, a Finite State Machine (FSM) based modeling method is proposed to analyze the switching behavior of Si/SiC hybrid switch. Based on the principle of circuit equivalence, the switching transient of the gate-controlled power device is innovatively divided into Voltage Source Mode (VSM) and Current Source Mode (CSM). The behavior model is developed with full consideration circuit stray parameters and is verified by a double-pulse test, which exhibits excellent validity. Furthermore, the proposed method not only provides a reference for switching behavior analysis and loss prediction of Si/SiC hybrid switches, but also can be applied to multiple devices in parallel which means it has excellent extensibility performance.
Exposure to environmental pollutants has been linked to various airway diseases and disease exacerbations. Almost all chronic airway diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma ...are caused by complicated interactions between gene and environment. One of the major hallmarks of those diseases is airway mucus overproduction (MO). Excessive mucus causes airway obstruction and significantly increases morbidity and mortality. Metals are major components of environmental particulate matters (PM). Among them, vanadium has been suggested to play an important role in PM-induced mucin production. Vanadium pentoxide (V(2)O(5)) is the most common commercial source of vanadium, and it has been associated with occupational chronic bronchitis and asthma, both of which are MO diseases. However, the underlying mechanism is not entirely clear. In this study, we used both in vitro and in vivo models to demonstrate the robust inductions of mucin production by V(2)O(5). Furthermore, the follow-up mechanistic study revealed a novel v-raf-1 murine leukemia viral oncogene homolog 1-IKK-NF-κB pathway that mediated V(2)O(5)-induced mucin production. Most interestingly, the reactive oxygen species and the classical mucin-inducing epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-MAPK pathway appeared not to be involved in this process. Thus the V(2)O(5)-induced mucin production may represent a novel EGFR-MAPK-independent and environmental toxicant-associated MO model. Complete elucidation of the signaling pathway in this model will not only facilitate the development of the treatment for V(2)O(5)-associated occupational diseases but also advance our understanding on the EGFR-independent mucin production in other chronic airway diseases.
To confirm the clinical therapeutic effects of acupuncture and moxibustion on Bell's palsy.
480 cases from 4 hospitals were enrolled for this study, among whom 439 cases completed the whole course of ...the study. The patients were randomly divided into the following 3 groups, a control group(treated with prednisone, vitamin B1, vitamin B12 and dibazol), an acu-moxibustion group (treated with filiform needle plus moxibustion), and a basic treatment plus acu-moxibustion group (treated with oral medicine like those in the control group plus acupuncture, and with moxibustion like in the acu-moxibustion group). The whole treatment course lasted 4 weeks. The therapeutic effects were evaluated according to the symptoms and signs, House-Brackmann grading scale and facial disability indexes(FDI).
All the 4 centers (hospitals) completed this study well, with no statistically significant difference found among the 4 centers in therapeutic effects. The patients with different conditions were well distributed in the 3 groups, thus the basic general data were comparable (P > 0.05). The therapeutic effects of the two treatment groups were better than the control group (respectively P < 0.05 and P < 0.01), and it was the best in the acu-moxibustion group (P < 0.01).
Acupuncture and moxibustion may exert definite therapeutic effects on Bell's palsy, better than that of the basic treatment group or the basic treatment plus acu-moxibustion group.
We found that the real time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) detection of viral RNA from sputum or nasopharyngeal swab has a relatively low positive rate in the early stage to ...determine COVID-19 (named by the World Health Organization). The manifestations of computed tomography (CT) imaging of COVID-19 had their own characteristics, which are different from other types of viral pneumonia, such as Influenza-A viral pneumonia. Therefore, clinical doctors call for another early diagnostic criteria for this new type of pneumonia as soon as possible. This study aimed to establish an early screening model to distinguish COVID-19 pneumonia from Influenza-A viral pneumonia and healthy cases with pulmonary CT images using deep learning techniques. The candidate infection regions were first segmented out using a 3-dimensional deep learning model from pulmonary CT image set. These separated images were then categorized into COVID-19, Influenza-A viral pneumonia and irrelevant to infection groups, together with the corresponding confidence scores using a location-attention classification model. Finally the infection type and total confidence score of this CT case were calculated with Noisy-or Bayesian function. The experiments result of benchmark dataset showed that the overall accuracy was 86.7 % from the perspective of CT cases as a whole. The deep learning models established in this study were effective for the early screening of COVID-19 patients and demonstrated to be a promising supplementary diagnostic method for frontline clinical doctors.
