BACKGROUND Photography is an integrated part of standard forensic examination procedures, acting as a guide and the evidence itself. Despite its potential, no research has yet explored the use of ...35mm format cameras (digital single-lens reflex DSLR) in sexual violence cases. This study aimed to assess the impact of DSLR camera image characteristics on the interpretation of child sexual abuse cases. METHODS This cross-sectional study used 55 digital photos selected through a convenience sampling. The samples were interpreted by two independent forensic experts who were not affiliated with this research and were compared with the results of the doctor’s examination from the medical records. RESULTS The metadata extraction results (EXIF data) indicated that all characteristic values had an abnormal distribution. The digital photos’ characteristics were associated with the use of a 50mm focal length (p = 0.011). A range of lens opening values (aperture = f7.1–f8.0), shutter speed (1/100–1/125 sec), and sensor sensitivity (ISO = 800–1600) were not associated with the experts’ interpretation conformity. Additionally, the conformity index for the overall interpretation by the two forensic experts differed in each area. CONCLUSIONS Focal length of 50mm was significantly related to interpretation conformity. The exposure triangle settings, including aperture (f7.1–f8.0), shutter speed (1/100–1/125 sec), and ISO (800–1600), can serve as fundamental guidelines for digital camera settings in examining child sexual violence cases.
Nowadays, the incidence of traffic accidents increases annually. Injuries caused by traffic accidents show specific patterns, which differ from that of injuries due to other causes. Information of ...injury patterns due to accidents can be very useful in the management of treatment. The aim of this retrospective study is to describe the kinds of injuries in autopsied victims due to traffic accidents, which were autopsied, and in some cases handled in Prof.dr.R.D.Kandou Manado General Hospital from 2004 until 2008. The results showed that 77.7% of deaths were due to traffic accident head injuries, and 22.2% to chest injuries. We observed that they had obvious internal organ damage, especially in the abdomen, which observation could not have been predicted just from external examination. Therefore, it can be concluded that not only deaths by traffic accidents, but all fatalities should undergo autopsy to verify the exact cause of death. Keywords: injury pattern, retrospective study, forensic autopsy Abstrak: Angka kecelakaan lalu lintas tiap tahun meningkat. The adoption and implementation of e-government is a necessity for governments in developing countries. However, there are many barrier factors faced in its implementation. At the same time, there ...are also driver factors that can support it. We used the guidelines of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) to identify barriers and drivers in e-government implementation in developing countries. Several theories or frameworks are used in related studies, one of which is the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. This study reveals that the previous studies were still focused on the municipal and central government levels. This study also found that there are 15 barriers and 17 driver factors. Based on TOE framework, we classified 7 factors in the technology dimension, 13 factors in the organization dimension, and 10 factors in the environment dimension. These findings can help other developing countries identify the barriers and potentials that can guide them to successful use of e-government.
Music practice assessment training at the Bengkayang Regency Arts and Culture Subject Teachers' Meeting is important considering the lack of development of assessments specifically in arts and ...culture learning. Objectivity when assessing a student's skill in practicing music needs to be evaluated. This form of evaluation can be done through an assessment of music practice. The PKM implementation method has stages, namely the preparation stage by coordinating with partners, the implementation stage conveying assessment material along with discussions and questions and answers, and the evaluation stage adjusting the results of activities in the form of rubrics that are worked on by participants with the conditions and situations of partner schools. The results obtained in this PKM are that participants have an objective view of the assessment of music practice and have an assessment rubric in determining the score of each music practice assessment criterion. With evaluation, it will continue to develop the assessment of the music. Through the Tanjungpura University Community Service program as well as the MGMP for Cultural Arts and also the Bengkayang Regency Education Office, the results of collaboration and friendship between implementers and partners have been.
Text as a means of learning Indonesian may be developed and conditioned in such a manner that it can be a successful technique for Indonesian language teachers. Understanding text-based Indonesian ...learning materials takes extensive preparation and conditioning on the part of students. Purpose of this study is to analyse, comprehend, and characterise the process of text-based Indonesian language acquisition as it is implemented by instructors at public high schools in Pontianak City. This study, which used a descriptive approach with a qualitative form, also targeted Indonesian language instructors by selecting five public high schools in Pontianak as a representative sample. Direct observation and interview approaches were utilised to collect data, with data collecting devices in the form of observation sheets and interview lists. Furthermore, triangulation techniques were used in the last step of the data analysis process to test the validity of new data utilising data collecting, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the findings of observations and interviews, it was discovered that Indonesian instructors' text-based learning methodologies may more effectively and efficiently establish an environment conducive to Indonesian language acquisition. Because students may undertake a detailed examination and analysis of a text, their comprehension of its structure and linguistic qualities is more in-depth and thorough. This research can also provide studies and has for the Merdeka Belajar curriculum to continue to provide recommendations for text-based Indonesian language learning strategies so that learning indicators and objectives can be achieved.
