Recent studies have demonstrated that the uterus has its own microbiota. However, there is no consensus on endometrial microbiota composition, thus its role in the healthy uterine environment is ...still a frontier topic. Endometrial receptivity is key to embryo implantation, and in this specific context immunological tolerance against fetal antigens and the tightly regulated expression of inflammatory mediators are fundamental. According to recent evidence, endometrial microbiota may interact in a very dynamic way with the immune system during the peri-conceptional stage and later during pregnancy. For this reason, a condition of dysbiosis might lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes. The aim of this review is to summarize the evidence on the molecular mechanisms by which the endometrial microbiota may interact with the immune system. For this purpose, the link between dysbiosis and reproductive disorders, such as infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), and preterm birth, will be discussed. In conclusion, the most recent findings from molecular analyses will be reported to illustrate and possibly overcome the intrinsic limitations of uterine microbiota detection (low endometrial biomass, high risk of contamination during sampling, and lack of standardization).
Diet has a key role in the reproductive axis both in males and females. This review aims to analyze the impacts of different dietary patterns on fertility. It appears that the Mediterranean diet has ...a predominantly protective role against infertility, while the Western diet seems to be a risk factor for infertility. Moreover, we focus attention also on dietary patterns in different countries of the World (Middle Eastern diet, Asian diet). In particular, when analyzing single nutrients, a diet rich in saturated fatty acids, cholesterol, animal proteins, and carbohydrates with high glycemic index is highly associated with male and female infertility. Finally, we evaluate the effects of vegetarian, vegan, and ketogenic diets on fertility, which seem to be still unclear. We believe that comprehension of the molecular mechanisms involved in infertility will lead to more effective and targeted treatments for infertile couples.

F-FDG PET/MR imaging in the staging/restaging setting of endometrial cancer (EC), with particular focus on performance evaluations and biomarker ...analyses.
Methods
Original articles were searched on PubMed, EMBASE and Web of Science, until March 2021. Reports were screened to select studies using simultaneous PET/MR acquisition, discarding those using sequential protocols. Studies including heterogeneous and/or homogeneous cohorts of pelvic tumor patients were considered, while works for which the exact number of EC patients was not reported have been discarded. Evaluations of selected articles were focused on (i) performance evaluation, (ii) biomarker analysis. The quality of papers was assessed by QUADAS-2.
Results
Eleven articles involving

F-FDG PET/MRI EC-related objectives were selected. The quality of papers was generally high. Compared to other imaging techniques, PET/MRI seems to show a higher diagnostic accuracy in detecting soft tissue invasion and abdominopelvic metastases from primary EC. Among different PET- and MRI-derived biomarkers, SUV-to-ADC ratio seems to be the most informative index in differentiating EC aggressiveness. Moreover, PET/MRI provided the chance to differentiate post-therapeutic changes from local relapse, and to detect small, morphologically unsuspicious lymph node metastases in patients with recurrent EC, with better performances compared to other imaging modalities.

Preliminary results demonstrated how

F-FDG PET/MRI could be a valid imaging technique in patients with EC, both in staging and restaging, also considering the limited radiation exposure. From the limited availability of the existing literature, it is clear that further prospective trials on larger and homogeneous cohorts are needed.

Change in measures of parent responsiveness/sensitivity (Global Rating Scale), depression (Patient Health Questionnaire 9), anxiety (Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7), and parenting stress (Parenting Stress Index-Short Form) were analyzed for mother-infant dyads (N=34) completing a six-session videofeedback program between 2014 and 2016.
Participants were primarily mothers of color (30% African American; 63% Hispanic) with young infants (mean age 8 months). At program completion, mothers demonstrated a significant improvement of 19% in maternal responsiveness and fewer depressive and anxious symptoms.
Cost-effectiveness studies are needed to compare parenting interventions by setting (community health center, home, or mental health facility) for acceptability and effectiveness to determine best practice models for communities challenged by poverty, trauma, and health disparities.
