In this course, students learn how to create a 3D object, and then create sections in the layout, to define and modify them according to European Standards. They thus end up presenting the 3 main views, with section, as well as the axonometric view and the sectioned axonometric view of the 3D object.

Drilling of aerocomposites is very critical process in the production of aviation components. The defects in the drilled holes can lead to high stresses on the rivet and the component and thus, ...catastrophic failure of the structure. The economics of drilling-induced defects is significant, particularly considering the various stages related to the part as it reaches the final assembly line. In this study a novel, simple, inexpensive, and accurate AutoCAD Image Processing (ACIP) technique was developed to evaluate the damaged area in drilling FRP composites. Drilling operations are performed on woven GFRP composites without back-up plate. Scanning electron microscopic examination was conducted on representative specimens to clarify the different mechanisms of chip and burr formation with respect to fiber orientation and the instantaneous velocity vector of the cutting edge. The results revealed that the developed ACIP technique has an amazing accuracy without missing any details in the computed delamination and burr areas in comparison with the other methods. Because of the non-dimensional delamination parameters are not account the damaged area, in some cases they seems to be not suitable for representing the measured values, which considerably increased the importance of this study.
The presented software, programmed in C#, is a plugin for the AutoCAD computer-assisted design program that adds functionality to output toolpaths in the form of spline control points. Motion ...controllers are often used in laboratory settings to drive the motion of a research tool in three-dimensional space. The trajectory files accepted by these controllers are often not used in industry, for example spline interpolation, hence the tools needed to generate such files for toolpath motion are not readily available. The developed AutoCAD Catmull-Rom Spline Trajectory Generator aims to address this limitation and will contribute to foster intelligent manufacturing strategies at research laboratories. The generated toolpaths can either be a direct spline interpolation of drawing geometries or a derivation from it. Point density is dynamically calculated along a given path depending on user-specified tolerance. This software, adaptable to other CAD design tools, will facilitate workflow in research equipment requiring spline input of toolpaths and increase versatility of lab tools.
Imogiri - Dlingo road section is a primary collector road located in the Mangunan tourist area, Bantul, Indonesia. This road is a provincial road with hilly terrain, lots of sharp turns, and long ...ascents and descents, which are potential for traffic accidents. Police data records that in February 2022 there was an accident on this road with 13 deaths and 33 injuries. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate road geometric, both horizontal and vertical alignments on Imogiri - Dlingo road based on Guidelines for Road Geometric Design number 13/P/BM /2021. To do so, road geometric analysis is conducted by employing road safety inspection data, which is then modeled using AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Based on the survey on road geometric, it is known that the number and width of lanes and shoulders are in accordance with Guidelines. Meanwhile, the analysis results using computer program show that this road has 24 horizontal and 6 vertical alignments. Nevertheless, 87% of bend radius, 67% of curve length, 58% of bend angle, 43% of slope, 57% of critical length, and 67% of control design (K) are not fulfilled the requirements. Therefore, Imogiri - Dlingo road is dangerous road and is potentially causing fatal accidents.
Dengan berkembangnya teknologi, maka gambarpun ikut mengalami kemajuan dalam penggunaannya. Dengan kecanggihan dan kemajuan teknologi dapat melahirkan suatu cara menggambar dengan media komputer. ...Teknologi dapat membantu mempercepat menyelesaikan suatu pekerjaan, tidak terkecuali aplikasi CAD (Computer Aided Design). Program yang sering digunakan untuk pengajaran CAD adalah AutoCAD yang merupakan sebuah aplikasi (software) yang digunakan untuk menggambar, mendesain gambar, menguji material dimana program tersebut mempunyai kemudahan dan keunggulan untuk membuat gambar secara tepat dan akurat. Berdasarkan temuan dilapangan yang didasari tinjauan langsung, didapatkan informasi bahwa materi AutoCAD yang diperoleh dari jenjang sebelumnya masih banyak yang jauh dari kondisi ideal. Materi AutoCAD yang didapatkan masih banyak tentang teori sedikit praktek, perangkat hardware yang terbatas sampai pada ketersediaan sumber daya manusia yang kurang adalah permasalahan umum yang terjadi. Adapun tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah (1) Meningkatkan mutu peserta pelatihan melalui workshop pemanfaatan aplikasi AutoCAD (2) Meningkatkan ketrampilan peserta pelatihan dengan membuat suatu proyek desain gambar bangun berbasis aplikasi AutoCAD. Manfaat kegiatan pelatihan adalah: (1) Peserta pelatihan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman tentang program AutoCAD; (2) Peserta pelatihan dapat menyalurkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang didapatkan nantinya kepada yang membutuhkan dan terutama akan sangat membantu para calon civil engineer dalam menyelesaikan pekerjaan yang berkaitan dengan desain rancang bangun; (3) Peserta pelatihan dapat mendesain gambar menggunakan program AutoCAD.
