Today, machine learning is utilized in several industries, including tourism, hospitality, and the hotel industry. This project uses machine learning approaches such as classification to predict ...hotel customers’ loyalty and develop viable strategies for managing and structuring customer relationships. The research is conducted using the CRISP-DM technique, and the three chosen classification algorithms are random forest, logistic regression, and decision tree. This study investigated key characteristics of merchants’ customers’ behavior, interest, and preference using a real-world case study with a hotel booking dataset from the C3 Rewards and C3 Merchant systems. Following a comprehensive investigation of prospective preferences in the pre-processing phase, the best machine learning algorithms are identified and assessed for forecasting customer loyalty in the hotel business. The study's outcome was recorded and examined further before hotel operators utilized it as a reference. The chosen algorithms are developed utilizing Python programming language, and the analysis result is evaluated using the Confusion Matrix, specifically in terms of precision, recall, and F1-score. At the end of the experiment, the accuracy values generated by the logistic regression, decision tree, and random forest algorithms were 57.83%, 71.44%, and 69.91%, respectively. To overcome the limits of this study method, additional datasets or upgraded algorithms might be utilized better to understand each algorithm's benefits and limitations and achieve further advancement.Â
This study utilizes the CRISP-DM framework to conduct a comprehensive sentiment analysis of visitor reviews for Batu Cave, leveraging advanced tools such as VADER, TextBlob, and the SVM model. The ...analysis of 1201 TripAdvisor reviews reveal critical visitor perceptions, highlighting both positive aspects, such as the site's beauty and cultural significance, and areas needing improvement, including accessibility and visitor conduct. The SVM model demonstrates high performance with an accuracy of 94.25% and AUC scores of 0.966 (optimistic), 0.962 (standard), and 0.958 (pessimistic). Furthermore, toxicity scores from the Perspective API range from 0.05055 to 0.89882, identifying areas for enhancing visitor interactions. These findings underscore the importance of using data-driven approaches to improve destination management and visitor satisfaction. The study provides valuable insights for policymakers, guiding strategic planning and sustainable development of tourist destinations. Consequently, the research offers a robust foundation for informed decision-making in the tourism sector, aiming to enhance the overall visitor experience at Batu Cave.
Nowadays, electricity is increasing rapidly. This increase is caused by several factors, one of which is meteorological factors. Meteorological parameters have various types, but this research uses ...three types in the form of temperature, humidity, and wind speed. The selection of these three types is due to the fact that they have a very close relationship with human life. In line with that, this research uses datasets obtained from the official websites of BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency) and PLN (State Electricity Company). On this occasion, researchers used several methods, namely Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM), Cooling Degree Days (CDD), and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The CRISP-DM method is useful for describing the data mining cycle so that the process can be more organized. The SVM algorithm is useful for predicting electricity consumption based on meteorological parameters in January to April 2024, while the CDD method is useful for knowing the correlation of meteorological parameters to electricity consumption in winter. In line with this, this research produces predictions of electricity consumption based on meteorological parameters in January 2024 to April 2024 with an average range of 20.9 Watts per day. In addition, trends and predictions during model evaluation obtained a precision value of 0.796, recall of 0.793, F1 score of 0.793, MAPE of 17.2%, RMSE of 0.41, MAE of 0.167 and accurate of 0.98. These values indicate that the performance of the accuracy model is very high.
The area of data science knowledge responsible for dealing with this new reality is diffuse, including mathematics, statistics, computing, engineering, psychology, and administration, among many ...other areas that make up a new scenario that is still changing. Different models have emerged over the years to systematize the procedures to be followed. Among them, CRISP-DM (Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining) has become one of the most widespread in the industry. However, the lack of detailed instructions means the framework is often incorrectly used. Therefore, this research aims to present a utilitarian and didactic model based on the latest advances in the literature and through the lens of production engineering. In order to achieve this objective, exploratory research was carried out based on a systematic review and subsequent categorization of each of the CRISP-DM steps, detailing the authors’ contributions to each stage. In addition, it is proposed that guidelines from the areas of Quality Management and Risk Management be added to the subject, consolidating a useful and didactic model of relevance.
Total household energy expenditures are a complex topic because so many behavioral, technological, environmental, and policy variables can affect expenditures. This study aimed to develop a ...high-performance ensemble learning (EL) model to classify total household energy expenditures. For this purpose, household consumption data from 11,521 households were examined using the Household Budget Survey 2019 data set that the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) published. In addition to the variables directly related to household energy expenditures, new variables were created within the framework of the literature and under the guidance of expert opinion. The prepared data were passed through data preprocessing, modeling, prediction, and performance evaluation stages using the open source RapidMiner software program. Classification performances of machine learning and EL methods were compared. Aside from k-nearest neighbor, decision tree, naive Bayes, random forest, gradient boosted trees, and DFNN classifiers, the study used bagging, boosting, voting, and stacking EL methods. The stacking EL method in the ALL model and bagging EL method in the deep feed forward neural network (DFNN) classifiers achieved the highest performance among EL methods. The accuracy value of the stacking and bagging methods was 0.984. The results indicate that EL methods can enhance individual machine learning methods significantly.

The aim of this research is clustering MSME data in Pagar Alam City using the K-Means and K-Medoids algorithms. This research is motivated by the lack of further management of MSME data collection, ...which can hinder the development and improvement of Pagar Alam City MSMEs. Meanwhile, this data is considered necessary for agencies to develop and improve Pagar Alam City MSMEs. Apart from agencies, this data is also useful for sub-districts, sub-districts and RT/RW to find out what interests, talents and potential the community has in what business fields. MSME data is processed using Rapid Miner and Python, the system development method in this research uses the Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) method, where the stages include Business Understanding, Data Understanding, Data Preparation, Modeling, Evaluation, and Deployment. The test method uses the Davies-bouldin index, a DBI value that is close to 0 results in good clustering. The results of this research obtained 3 clusters. In 2020 K-Means C0= 1, C1= 3 and C2= 1 sub-district, K-Medoids C0= 1, C1= 1 and C2= 3 sub-district. In 2022 K-Means C0= 1, C1= 3 and C2= 1 sub-district, K-Medoids C0= 1, C1= 3 and C2= 1 sub-districts. The results of the 2020 sub-district DBI clustering calculation are DBI k-means = 0.134 and k-medoids = 0.523. In 2022 DBI k-means = 0.277 and k-medoids = 0.496. So it can be concluded that the K-Means algorithm in the case of grouping MSMEs in Pagar Alam City has better performance, because the DBI value is close to 0. From the results of the grouping it can help provide an overview for related parties in encouraging or providing assistance to sub-districts that are included in the low cluster.

This research uses CRISP-DM, or Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining, to build machine learning models. The approach used is content-based filtering. This model recommends items similar to previously liked or selected items by the user. Item similarity can be calculated based on the features of the items being compared. After students receive job recommendations through intelligent job matching, they can use these recommendations as references when applying for jobs that align with their results. This process helps students direct their steps toward finding jobs that match their profiles, ultimately increasing their chances of success in the job market. These recommendations are crucial in guiding students toward career paths that align with their abilities and interests. The Intelligent Job Matching Model developed in this research provides recommendations for the job-matching process. This model benefits graduates by providing job recommendations aligned with their profiles and offers advantages to the job market. By implementing the Model of Intelligent Job Matching in the recruitment process, applicants with job qualifications can be matched effectively.
