Walking is become a traditional mode of movement between places in many situations, irrespective of cities and countries. People walk with different purposes and activities. This calls for conducting ...the necessary studies and improvements for walking and crossing areas. The study aims to achieve several goals such as evaluate the impact of pedestrian characteristics, traffic flow in addition to walking speed on the efficiency of pedestrian (LOS) with the aided of statistical and traffic models to show the extended impact of variables and their effect on the efficiency of pedestrian traffic flow. To that purpose, the study chose Muhrmat Shat Al- Hilla Street within the urban area of Hilla city. Data collected for pedestrian walking and crossing according to field survey in order to estimate flow, average speed, density and spacing. The proposals adopted by the study, which were built on the basis of a traffic study and use of the simulation program (PTV VISSIM ), scientific analysis using (i) method with design of the crossing areas and sidewalks according to the (ii) specifecations as a result to an increase in the level of service for the sidewalks and crossing areas of the LOS (from F to C). Based on the statistical analysis using the SPSS software program, as well as studying the relationships between traffic volumes, speed and density of pedestrians.the linear equation reflected the relationship between speed and density. While the Second order equation reflected the relationship between traffic volumes and pedestrian speed based on the outputs of the values of the correlation coefficient (R), (Adj. R2) and (SE). The study suggested a comprehensive transportation for pedestrian flow charactristic in Hilla city includes pedestrians environmental within roadways and intersections as a networks to design an appropriate modern environment and safe crossing facilities to reduce traffic accidents that result in death, injury or disability.

Nowadays, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses are two important consecutive steps in an overall analysis process. The overall analysis should start with an exploratory factor analysis that ...explores the data and establishes a hypothesis for the factor model in the population. Then, the analysis process should be continued with a confirmatory factor analysis to assess whether the hypothesis proposed in the exploratory step is plausible in the population. To carry out the analysis, researchers usually collect a single sample, and then split it into two halves. As no specific splitting methods have been proposed to date in the context of factor analysis, researchers use a random split approach. In this paper we propose a method to split samples into equivalent subsamples similar to one that has already been proposed in the context of multivariate regression analysis. The method was tested in simulation studies and in real datasets.
The aim of this study was to measure the illness cognition of patients with defect in the maxillofacial region. Eighty patients participated in this study. Written informed consent was obtained from ...patients with maxillofacial area defect, and the patients were filled in with the guidance of the researchers. Illness Cognition Questionnaire (ICQ), forms measuring the illness awareness of the patients were completed. The study was conducted independently of demographic characteristics. The statistical software SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences, Version 20, Chicago IL, USA) was used for calculations. At the end of the study, ICQ scores in patients with maxillofacial defect were as follows: There was a statistically significant intra class correlation of 88.6% (0.843-0.942) among the Helplessness scale scores of the participants. There was a statistically significant intra class correlation of 80.3% (0.728-0.863) among the Acceptance scale scores of the participants. There was a statistically significant intra class correlation of 0.752 % (0,657-0,827) among the Perceived benefits scale scores of the participants. Patients with maxillofacial defects will focus on the disease cognition "Helplessness" category. In patients with relationship maxillofacial defect, the rate of helplessness (88.6%) was higher than acceptance (80.3%) and perceived benefit (0,752 %).
This paper is concerned with the fuzzy-model-based nonfragile control problem for discrete-time nonlinear singularly perturbed systems with stochastic jumping parameters. The stochastic parameters ...are generated from the semi-Markov process. The memory property of the transition probabilities among subsystems is fully considered in the investigated systems. Consequently, the restriction that the transition probabilities are memoryless in widely used discrete-time Markov jump model can be removed. Based on the T-S fuzzy model approach and semi-Markov kernel concept, several criteria ensuring <inline-formula><tex-math notation="LaTeX">\delta</tex-math></inline-formula>-error mean square stability of the underlying closed-loop system are established. With the help of those criteria, the designed procedures which could well deal with the fragility problem in the implementation of the proposed fuzzy-model-based controller are presented. A technique is developed to estimate the permissible maximum value of singularly perturbed parameter for discrete-time nonlinear semi-Markov jump singularly perturbed systems. Finally, the validity of the established theoretical results is illustrated by a numerical example and a modified tunnel diode circuit model.
Stakeholders in cyber intelligence and cyber defense systems are believed to play a significant role in enhancing national resilience. The involvement of intelligence entities in the cyber domain, ...along with institutional and governance aspects of cyber defense, can contribute to bolstering national resilience. This study seeks to assess the impact of collaboration among cyber stakeholders on the reinforcement of cyber defense governance in Indonesia. Questionnaires were distributed to various cyber intelligence stakeholders in the country to determine whether increased collaboration has a positive effect on strengthening cyber defense governance. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing SPSS analysis tools to measure the extent of influence between variables. The findings of the analysis reveal a correlation between legal certainty and the reinforcement of cyber defense governance, as well as a connection between capacity building and strengthening cyber defense governance. The multiple linear regression equation analysis indicates that the implementation of legal certainty and capacity building positively contributes to enhancing cyber defense governance in Indonesia.
Implementing practices for a circular economy transforms the way companies do business, notably in the manufacturing industry. However, a circular economy requires a transformation of both production ...and consumption systems; the standard approach for creation, fabrication, and commerce of products is challenged. Authors repeatedly call for the development of new proficiencies to attend to system transformations, but these so far have not been described for design and engineering. Given that the design of a product directly influences the way a value chain will be managed, building circular, globally sustainable value chains inevitably signifies a fundamental change in the practice of design. Comprehensive analyses were conducted on case studies from a variety of multinational enterprises that are transforming their product strategies for climate change. Changes in design processes were identified, revealing a growing necessity for industry to employ new proficiencies that support closure of material loops. This paper contributes to existing literature by depicting successful practices being implemented in industry. A variety of new capabilities are key to design for a sustainable future; these range from deeper knowledge of material composition to rich understanding of social behaviour. Resulting from this research, learning goals are proposed to serve as guidance for manufacturing companies seeking to tackle climate change. Conclusions aim to encourage researchers and academics to respond to emerging needs by re-thinking education in design and engineering.
