The increasing demand for economic development in the coastal zone is exerting greater pressure on the eco-environment in this region. Therefore, it is imperative to conduct comprehensive research on ...the sustainable development of the eco-environment in coastal areas. Grounded in sustainable development theory and Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM), this study assessed sustainable development of Jiaozhou Bay (JZB), China over the period from 2015 to 2019 under multiple pressures applying the Driver-Pressure-State-Impact-Response (DPSIR) framework. Subsequently, a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis was employed to propose specific countermeasures and recommendations. In terms of weight within the criterion layer, Response (R) and Pressure (P) were assigned higher weights. The comprehensive assessment value Z in the target layer indicated a slight decrease in 2016 followed by a gradual increase that eventually led to stabilization. The comprehensive assessment values of the indicators varied depending on different conditions, implying that higher values would contribute to sustainable development of the eco-environment. Based on a SWOT analysis, strategies for Qingdao were derived from a combination of research findings and future development policy. These strategies include preventing and controlling land and sea pollution, governing reclamation activities, optimizing industrial structure, and strengthening public opinion guidance. This study highlights the application of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods in ICZM, providing specific recommendations based on policy analysis for achieving sustainable development in JZB's eco-environment under multiple pressures.

Sixty-three studies published in the years 1997–2002 are reviewed to assess the effects of workplace diversity on teams and organizations. Four major questions are considered: Which personal ...attributes have diversity researchers studied in recent years? What has been learned about the consequences of diversity for teams and organizations? What has been learned about the role of context in shaping the effects of diversity? How has research addressed the multi-level complexities inherent in the phenomenon of diversity? For each question, we consider the strengths and weaknesses of recent diversity research, point out opportunities for new research, and identify threats to continued advancement. The review concludes by considering practical implications of the accumulated evidence.
In recent years, the metaverse have captured the general public’s attention. After so many years of development, the Korean entertainment market has become more and more competitive, and SM ...Entertainment, as the leading Korean entertainment company, chose to catch the wave of metaverse and create a unique metaverse marketing model, which has been a great success. The aim of the paper was to explore whether SM’s “metaverse” strategy could be a new model for all entertainment companies. This paper investigated the influential factors based on the 4Is of marketing mix theory and through a SWOT analysis. The paper showed that the importance of interest and Interaction is rising in the entertainment market. It concluded that this marketing model has won because of its uniqueness; therefore, other companies cannot replicate its success. The emergence of state‐of‐the‐art satellite altimetry has provided new prospects for integrating water surface elevation (water level) measurements with a hydrologic model for river discharge ...estimation, which is particularly suited for poorly gauged or ungauged basins. In this context, we explored the possibility of model calibration using Jason‐2‐derived water levels, followed by SWOT (the Surface Water and Ocean Topography mission)‐like data (the combination of Landsat 5/8‐derived at‐a‐section river widths and concurrent gauged water levels). Two types of empirical formulas designed specifically for altimetry‐derived water levels and the joint use of water levels and river widths, respectively, were used to derive discharge, which was integrated with a hydrologic model (CREST‐RS). Here we present results of estimating daily continuous river discharge in narrow rivers for the upper Brahmaputra River (UBR) and Lhasa River (LR) using the developed approach independent of in situ discharge measurements. Five scenarios were performed: (1) model calibration using the Jason‐2‐derived water levels and SWOT‐like data in the UBR (scenarios I–III) and (2) model calibration using the SWOT‐like data for the LR (scenarios IV–V). Results showed that model calibration using the Jason‐2‐derived water levels could provide reasonably well‐constrained parameters for discharge estimation, with the Nash‐Sutcliffe Efficiency coefficient (NSE) reaching 0.85 during 2003–2014. For the SWOT‐like data, the NSE reached 0.85 for the UBR and 0.75 for the LR. This study highlights the potential of performing model calibration using satellite altimetry and SWOT‐like observations, which paves the way to estimate river discharge for ungauged basins globally.
