To clarify the generative mechanism and influencing factors of graduate students' willingness and behavior of initiative scientific research and innovation, this research builds a quantitative model ...consisting of six variables: academic interest, regulatory pressure, conditions for improving scientific research and innovation capabilities, willingness to take initiative in scientific research and innovation, the promotion of achievements in scientific research, and initiative scientific research and innovation behavior. In total, 684 valid questionnaires were distributed and collected through WeChat Moments. Descriptive statistical analysis, reliability and validity analysis, factor analysis, path analysis, and conditioning analysis were conducted using the SPSS and structural equation model (SEM). The results showed that: (1) academic interest, regulatory pressure, and conditions for improving scientific research and innovation capabilities have a positive impact on the intention of initiative scientific research and innovation, but the impact of regulatory pressure is extremely insignificant. (2) The willingness to take initiative in scientific research and innovation has a positive and significant impact on initiative scientific research and innovation behavior, and the promotion of achievements in scientific research plays a negative moderating effect. Finally, this manuscript puts forward the suggestions on how to promote the initiative scientific research and innovation behavior of postgraduate students based on the research results.

The proposed European Health Data Space regulation (the proposed EHDS regulation) intends to facilitate the secondary use of electronic health data for scientific research purposes. This article examines how the proposed EHDS regulation promises to transform the EU scientific research regime and protection of a data subject in scientific research. This paper shows that a scientific research regime 2.0 is put forward, where sharing is enhanced at the cost of self-determination of the individual and without resolving many of the challenges that emerged under the GDPR.
Introduction
Monteggia-like lesions are rare injuries in adults that include a wide spectrum of complex fracture-dislocations of the proximal ulna and radius. In this retrospective study, we ...performed a modified Boyd approach and a standard surgical protocol for the treatment of these lesions. Our aim was to evaluate the results of the operative treatment for patients with Monteggia-like lesions, using a modified Boyd approach.
Materials and Methods
We present a retrospective study of 14 patients who underwent surgical treatment for Monteggia-like lesions. Preoperative clinical and radiological evaluation was performed. In 5 cases radial head prosthesis was placed, and in 3 cases the radial fracture was stabilized with the use of interfragmental screws. Regarding the proximal ulnar fracture, ORIF-anatomical plate and ORIF-straight plate was used in 12 and 2 cases, respectively.
Results
Average clinical follow up was 16.9 months. Postoperatively, the mean Mayo Elbow Performance score was 83.4 points (range 70-100) and the mean visual analog scale was 1.7 (range 0-14). Mean flexion and loss of extension were 122.1° (range 80°-140°) and 21.4° (range 5°-40°), respectively. Mean supination of the forearm was 66.8° (range 50°-80°) and the mean pronation was 67.5° (range 60°-75°). Heterotopic ossification was observed in 3 patients (21.4%) and 1 patient developed stiffness (7.1%). The patient who developed stiffness underwent reoperation for plate removal and arthrolysis, with satisfactory results.
Conclusions
The surgical treatment of Monteggia-like lesions in adults remains a challenge. In the present study, the use of a standard surgical protocol, with a modified Boyd approach, successfully restores the movement and stability of the elbow, with a low complication rate.
The EU member states’ healthcare and health-related research sectors are both characterized by an emerging infrastructural coalescence on a national and European level. The culmination of this ...coalescence is the planned creation of a European Health Data Space, an EU-wide infrastructure for the processing of personal data for healthcare and for secondary uses such as scientific research. In contrast to growing technical interoperability, the legal framework for such integration is not yet defined in detail, particularly with regard to data protection law. Its development is accompanied by discussions about divergent member state implementations of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that affect data sharing between healthcare and scientific research actors and across various sectors driven by divergent processing purposes.
The article presents four member states’ main rules on data sharing based on the respective provision of the GDPR in six health-related contexts regarding data sharing across the healthcare and research sector and between the main actors of those sectors. The striking differences are then evaluated from the perspective of their factual effect on European data sharing depending on the legal characteristics of the GDPR provisions they rely on. Against this backdrop, the planned regulatory measures for the setup of the European Health Data Space are introduced and evaluated with regard to further harmonization between member states’ laws and possibilities to overcome divergences in data protection rules relevant for European data sharing.
The results of the analysis point to the conclusion that the destructive effect of divergent member state rules depends on the legal qualification of the EU provisions they rely on and that this qualification also determines which further EU regulatory measure would be the most effective to set the framework for the European Health Data Space.

In order to encourage cooperation and creativity across scientific groups, digital literacy is vital. Moreover, scientific professionals that possess digital literacy are better equipped to disseminate their research findings to a larger audience. The essence is that the higher the level of digital literacy, the easier it is to find suitable and therefore the best forms of communication.
Citizen science has advanced science for hundreds of years, contributed to many peer-reviewed articles, and informed land management decisions and policies across the United States. Over the last ...10years, citizen science has grown immensely in the United States and many other countries. Here, we show how citizen science is a powerful tool for tackling many of the challenges faced in the field of conservation biology. We describe the two interwoven paths by which citizen science can improve conservation efforts, natural resource management, and environmental protection. The first path includes building scientific knowledge, while the other path involves informing policy and encouraging public action. We explore how citizen science is currently used and describe the investments needed to create a citizen science program. We find that:1.Citizen science already contributes substantially to many domains of science, including conservation, natural resource, and environmental science. Citizen science informs natural resource management, environmental protection, and policymaking and fosters public input and engagement.2.Many types of projects can benefit from citizen science, but one must be careful to match the needs for science and public involvement with the right type of citizen science project and the right method of public participation.3.Citizen science is a rigorous process of scientific discovery, indistinguishable from conventional science apart from the participation of volunteers. When properly designed, carried out, and evaluated, citizen science can provide sound science, efficiently generate high-quality data, and help solve problems.

This paper examines quantitative predictors of team performance in Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs) based on team management literature. Analyzing data from more than 140,000 squad-mode ...matches involving over 500,000 players, we replicate and extend existing research by confirming a curvilinear association between behavioral interdependence and team performance and introduce the moderating effect of experience. For less experienced teams, behavioral interdependence follows an inverted U-shaped pattern showing that excessive collaboration may be counterproductive. However, this is not the case for experienced teams, where the relationship is fairly linear. Additionally, we observe that riskier teams tend to perform worse. Moreover, our research also highlights the potential of e-sports data in advancing behavioral science and management research. The digital nature of e-sports datasets, characterized by size and granularity, mitigates concerns related to reproducibility, replicability, and generalizability in social science research, offering a cost-effective platform for scholars with diverse backgrounds.
