Innovation, the globalization of markets, changing living standards, and increasing average life expectancy are among the factors influencing work activity and impacting workers' performance. Within ...this context, the significance of time management (TM) is underscored as a critical means of rationalizing a limited and valuable resource, namely time. Effective time management is essential for achieving a balance between professional and family obligations while maintaining a high quality of life and achieving optimal outcomes. Although not a new phenomenon, the importance of time management has grown significantly in contemporary society. Motivated by the awareness of this issue, the present study aimed to validate a self-diagnostic tool for time management (TMST) that enables a quick assessment of an individual's time management skills and facilitates the development of personalized plans of action and improvement based on the identified profile. The results demonstrate a significant enhancement in all three sections of the TMST (time perspective, self-recognition, and time management) following the implementation of the recommended strategies. Furthermore, the conduction of interviews to evaluate and validate the TMST revealed that the tool adds value to time management, thereby contributing to both theoretical and practical advancements in this field.
•Impact of COVID-19 pandemic on undergraduate students learning.•Challenges and issues that students faced with online learning.•Positive and negative aspects of online learning.•Enhance the online ...learning experience and increase students’ satisfaction.•Unified online learning platform.
This study evaluates the impact of shifting from traditional learning to online learning during COVID-19 Pandemic on undergraduate students. It also examines the positive and negative aspects of online learning from students' perspectives. We conducted two online surveys to evaluate online learning, students' satisfaction, and identify the positive and negative aspects of online learning. Data is collected in the first survey from 483 participants directly after the emergency shifting to online learning. The second survey data is collected from 853 after students' experienced online learning for three academic semesters. Both surveys' analysis results show that students had several problems with shifting to online learning during COVID-19 Pandemic such as technological, mental health, time management, and balance between life and education. The results also show that more than a third of the surveyed students are dissatisfied with the online learning experience. Further investigation is conducted to explore and identify the factors behind the students' dissatisfaction from the online learning experience during COVID-19 Pandemic in January 2021 using focus group technique. The analysis results reveal that the most important factors behind the students' dissatisfaction during online learning are a distraction and reduced focus, psychological issues, and management issues. This study proposes various solutions and recommendations to enhance the online learning experience and increase students' satisfaction.

Diwek Jombang was declared good with a percentage of 43.33%, (2) The learning outcomes of students in fiqh subjects at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-As'Ad Brambang Diwek Jombang were stated to be quite good with a percentage of 60%, (3) There was a significant influence between time management on The learning outcomes of students in the subject of fiqh at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-As'Ad Brambang Diwek Jombang with a value of 0.019 are smaller than the probability value of 0.05.
Cyberloafing, a new type of deviant workplace behavior, has become widespread across organizations. Although there has been an increasing amount of research on cyberloafing, it is unclear whether its ...influence on employee task performance is linearly positive or negative. To reconcile such an inconsistency, we developed and tested a model, grounded in the effort-recovery model, considering a potential curvilinear relationship between cyberloafing and task performance while also examining the mediating role of relaxation. We further reasoned that this indirect curvilinear effect is contingent on employees’ time management skill. To test our theoretical model, we conducted two studies. In Study 1, multi-time data collected from 243 Master of Public Administration (MPA) students showed that cyberloafing had an inverted U-shaped (curvilinear) relationship with task performance, and relaxation mediated this relationship. In Study 2, using a sample of 392 public sector employees, we replicated the results of Study 1 and found that time management skill moderated the curvilinear effect of relaxation on task performance, as well as the indirect curvilinear effect of cyberloafing on task performance via relaxation. Theoretical contributions and managerial implications are further discussed.
Aims
To explore the transition experiences of newly graduated registered nurses with particular attention to patient safety.
Background
New graduate registered nurses’ transition is accompanied by a ...degree of shock which may be in tune with the described theory–practice gap. The limited exposure to clinical settings and experiences leaves these nurses at risk of making errors and not recognising deterioration, prioritising time management and task completion over patient safety and care.
Design
Qualitative descriptive approach using semi‐structured interviews.
Methods
Data were collected during 2017–18 from 11 participants consenting to face‐to‐face or telephone semi‐structured interviews. Interviews were transcribed verbatim, and data were analysed using thematic analysis techniques assisted by Nvivo coding software. The study follows the COREQ guidelines for qualitative studies (see Supplementary File 1).
Results
Key themes isolated from the interview transcripts were as follows: patient safety and insights; time management; making a mistake; experiential learning; and transition. Medication administration was a significant cause of stress that adds to time management anguish. Although the new graduate registered nurses’ clinical acumen was improving, they still felt they were moving two steps forward, one step back with regards to their understanding of patient care and safety.
Conclusion
Transition shock leaves new graduate registered nurses’ focused on time management and task completion over patient safety and holistic care. Encouragement and support needed to foster a safety culture that foster safe practices in our new nurses.
Relevance to practice
Having an understanding of the new graduate registered nurses’ experiences and understanding of practice will assist Graduate Nurse Program coordinators, and senior nurses, to plan and provide the relevant information and education during these initial months of transition to help mitigate the risk of errors occurring during this time.
The transition period of the online learning process from home creates an imbalance in school life and creates conditions of academic delay or procrastination among students. Based on previous ...research on 345 students at SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono in February 2022, the results of student academic procrastination at the school were quite high. This community service activity aims to reduce the high level of student academic procrastination through time management training. The training was attended by 31 students at SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono. The instrument used to measure the level of student academic procrastination is the academic procrastination scale. Measurements were carried out 2 times, namely before (pre test) and after (post test) training to determine the effectiveness of time management training in reducing the level of academic procrastination experienced by students. The results of data analysis using T-test showed a score of t = 40.83 with p = 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that there is a very significant decrease in academic procrastination after receiving time management training. In conclusion, time management training is very significantly effective in reducing academic procrastination in students at SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono. Suggestions for further research is that this kind of training can be applied to other problems because it is able to reduce forms of negative behavior so that it can optimize learning outcomes and student achievement.
The self-regulation theory suggests that self-monitoring is a crucial factor in the progress of goal pursuit. Based on this theory, we explored the influence and mechanism of time management ...disposition and self-monitoring in relation to procrastination. In the study sample of 503 Chinese college students, we found that procrastination was negatively correlated with time management disposition and self-control, time management disposition was significantly and positively correlated with self-control, and self-monitoring was not significantly correlated with the other variables. Time management disposition was found to play a partially mediating role between self-control and procrastination, whereas indirect relationship between self-control and procrastination through time management disposition was moderated by self-monitoring, namely, self-monitoring moderated the effect of time management disposition on procrastination. The results of this study suggest that self-monitoring can strengthen or weaken the inhibition effect of self-control on procrastination thought time management disposition.
In this research we integrate resource allocation and social exchange perspectives to build and test theory focusing on the moderating role of time management skill in the nonmonotonic relationship ...between organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and task performance. Results from matching survey data collected from 212 employees and 41 supervisors and from task performance metrics collected several months later indicate that the curvilinear association between OCB and task performance is significantly moderated by employees' time management skill. Implications for theory and practice are discussed.
