Fetoplacental Doppler is considered to be a key tool for the diagnosis of placenta-mediated fetal growth restriction(FGR). We aimed to determine the diagnostic accuracy of fetoplacental Doppler for ...specific placental diseases.
A retrospective cohort study of all women with a singleton pregnancy and an antenatal diagnosis of SGA fetus(estimated fetal weight <10th centile for gestational age), who underwent fetoplacental Doppler assessment within 2 weeks before birth. Primary exposure was any abnormal Doppler result, defined as an abnormal umbilical artery(UA) Doppler, middle cerebral artery(MCA) Doppler, cerebroplacental-ratio(CPR), or umbilico-cerebral ratio(UCR). Study outcomes were abnormal placental pathology: maternal vascular malperfusion(MVM), villitis of unknown etiology(VUE), or fetal vascular malperfusion(FVM).
A total of 558 women with a singleton SGA fetus were included, of whom 239(42.8%) had an abnormal fetoplacental Doppler findings. UA Doppler had the lowest detection rate for abnormal placental pathology. MCA Doppler exhibited a significantly higher detection rate for all types of pathology. CPR and UCR exhibited highest detection rates for all types of placental pathology, however, were also associated with the highest false positive rate. The combination of fetoplacental Doppler with the severity of SGA and maternal hypertensive status achieved a high negative predictive value MVM lesions(97%). In contrast, fetoplacental Doppler did not improve the negative predictive value for non-MVM pathology(VUE or FVM).
Among SGA fetuses, the combination of UA and MCA Doppler is highly accurate in ruling out FGR due to MVM placental pathology, but is of limited value in excluding FGR due to underlying non-MVM pathologies.

While searching for fingermarks using Small Particle Reagent (SPR) on items that have been submerged, the excess SPR is usually rinsed off by spraying water, causing runoff on the treated surface or ...soaking in a tank of clean water before drying. However, after rinsing it is possible to immerse the object immediately in a tank of clear water in order to carry out the detection and photographic shots of fingermarks. This technique will clearly improve the contrast and the quality of the papillary pattern. Oxidation of metallic objects will also be limited, as they are not exposed to air during photographic shots.
Lors de recherches de traces papillaires au moyen de Small Particle Reagent (SPR) sur des supports ayant été immergés, le rinçage de l'excédent de SPR se fait généralement en pulvérisant de l'eau, en la faisant ruisseler sur la surface traitée ou encore en trempant cette dernière dans un bac d'eau avant son séchage. Néanmoins, il est possible d'immerger l'objet immédiatement après le rinçage dans un bac d'eau claire afin de réaliser la détection et les prises de vue photographiques des traces révélées. Cette technique va permettre d'améliorer nettement le contraste et la qualité du dessin papillaire. L'oxydation des objets métalliques sera également limitée, ces derniers n'étant pas exposés à l'air le temps des prises de vue photographiques.
Résumé : Le présent article porte sur les effets du nouveau dispositif de stages introduit à l’IFERE en 2014 dans le cadre de la réforme de formation initiale des professeurs des écoles en Union des ...Comores. Le constat est que ce dispositif connait des difficultés liées à l’encadrement de stage, au manque de formation des formateurs. En s’inspirant du modèle d’analyse de besoin (Bourgeois, 1991), cette étude a pour visée l’identification des points de vue des acteurs pédagogiques à propos du fonctionnement de stages. Les résultats ont indiqué que la quasi-totalité des acteurs-participants au focus group mené à la fin de l’année 2020 et analysés par le logiciel NVIVO ont presque exprimé leur insatisfaction, leur mécontentement, leur indignation par rapport aux stages. Les écarts entre situation existante et situation désirée sont perçus de façon qualitative et des initiatives en termes des situations d’action sont proposées pour améliorer le dispositif de stages à l’IFERE.
The aim of this scoping review is to explore previous scientific studies relating to the scholarly understanding of societal participation of people with disabilities. Six relevant databases within ...social science were searched using societal participation of people with disabilities, or different combinations thereof, as search words. The criteria for inclusion were: working-age people with disabilities; societal participation; accounting for facilitators or/and barriers of participation; geographical focus on or link to Europe, peer-reviewed studies using quantitative or qualitative methods published in English between January 2012 and December 2013. Thirty-two studies met these inclusion criteria. Each study was analysed relating to four measures: identity of the participator group, type of participation; type of facilitators; type of barriers. The findings show that there is a dominating focus on labour market participation and that societal participation was studied mostly concerning disabled people in general instead of any specific group. The main barriers identified were related to financial factors, attitudes, health issues and unemployment. The most frequently identified facilitators were related to legislation and disability policies, as well as to support from people in close contact with disabled people, attitudes in society and employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Cette analyse a pour objet d’explorer des études scientifiques récentes afin d’aboutir à une synthèse des conceptions académiques sur la participation dans la société des personnes qui présentent une incapacité. Nous avons exploré six bases de données pertinentes relevant du domaine des sciences sociales en utilisant comme termes de recherche « societal participation of people with disabilities/participation dans la société des personnes handicapées » sous différentes combinaisons. Les critères d’inclusion étaient les suivants : personnes handicapées en âge de travailler, participation dans la société, obstacles et/ou facilitateurs à la participation ; zone limitée géographiquement à l’Europe ou liée à l’Europe, études quantitatives ou qualitatives évaluées par des pairs et publiées en anglais entre janvier 2012 et décembre 2013. Trente-deux recherches ont répondu à ces critères d’inclusion. Chacune de ces recherches a fait l’objet d’une analyse selon les 4 paramètres suivants : identité des participants du groupe, type de la participation, type du facilitateur et type de l’obstacle. Les résultats montrent que les études s’intéressent tout particulièrement à la participation sur le marché du travail et qu’elles portent principalement sur les personnes handicapées en général et non sur un groupe particulier. Les principaux obstacles identifiés concernent les aspects financiers, les attitudes, les problèmes liés à la santé et le chômage. Les facilitateurs les plus fréquemment identifiés relèvent de la législation et des politiques en faveur des personnes handicapées, du soutien de l’entourage, des attitudes dans la société et des possibilités d’emploi des personnes handicapées.

The Crystal Vue is a novel 3D-US rending technology that provides valuable information in several obstetrical and gynaecological studies. This review focuses on the application of Crystal Vue technology in the evaluation of foetal skeleton, maxillofacial region, central nervous system, digestive tract and abnormally invasive placenta, cervical pessary, and ureteral stones.
