The effect of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) with and without a moisture adsorbent on the quality of squid (Sepia officinalis) during chilled storage was evaluated. Chemical and microbiological ...tests were carried out to measure the amount of spoilage and the resulting loss of fish freshness during 12 days of storage at 3 deg C. After 11 days, trimethylamine nitrogen (TMA-N) increased from 0.4 mg/100 g in fresh samples to 24 mg/100 g in MAP with adsorbent and 35 mg/100 g in the other samples. Total volatile basic nitrogen (TVB-N) increased from 18 mg/100 g in fresh samples to 112 mg/100 g in MAP with adsorbent and 158 mg/100 g in control samples. Counts of aerobic psychrotrophic microorganisms and presumptive Pseudomonads were more than 10 times lower in both MAP treatments compared to the control, in which counts exceeded 10E6 cfu/g on day 9 and 10E7 cfu/g on day 12
In questo lavoro si è valutata l´efficacia di un imballaggio attivo sulla qualità di seppie (Sepia officinalis) conservate a 3 +- 0,5 gradi C. Sui diversi campioni di seppia sono stati valutati il grado di deterioramento e la perdita di freschezza attraverso il monitoraggio dei principali parametri chimici e microbiologici. Il contenuto in trimetilamina (TMA-N) aumentava, a 11 giorni di conservazione, da 0,4 mg/100 g di pesce fresco a 24 mg/100 g sui campioni conservati in MAP con adsorbente e a 35 mg/100g negli altri campioni. Il contenuto in azoto volatile basico totale (TVB-N) incrementava da 18 mg/100 g al tempo 0 a 112 mg/100 g nei campioni conservati in MAP con adsorbente e a 158 ng/100 g nei campioni controllo a fine conservazione. La carica psicrotrofica aerobica e le presunte Pseudomonas ritrovate nei campioni conservati in MAP dopo 12 giorni di conservazione erano 10 volte più basse rispetto al testimone, i cui valori superavano 10E6 e 10E7 ufc/g, rispettivamente a 9 e 12 giorni di conservazione
Mycotoxins, particularly aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), represent always a public health problem, difficult to solve, at world level. The aim of the present work was the evaluation of aflatoxin B1 and M1 ...presence in liver, kidney, muscle and fat of pigs fed for 5 weeks on diets experimentally contaminated with 280 microng AFB1/kg feed. The AFB1 adsorption capacity by Saccharomyces cerevisiae was also evaluated by the addition of the mycotoxin (280 ppb) to a diet supplemented with 0.2% yeast. Residues of aflatoxins were determined by SPE-HPLC with fluorescence detection. Muscle and fat were always negative for both mycotoxins, while liver and kidney levels were very low for AFB1 (between 0.03 and 0.12 ppb) and slightly higher for AFM1 (between 0.29 and 0.72 ppb).
Le micotossine, e la aflatossina B1 (AFB1) in particolare, rappresentano da sempre un problema di sanità pubblica a livello mondiale di difficile risoluzione. Scopo del presente lavoro è stato quello di valutare le quantità di aflatossine B1 e M1 in fegato, rene, muscolo e grasso di suini che hanno assunto per 5 settimane diete sperimentalmente contaminate con 280 microng/kg di AFB1. E´ stata valutata anche la capacità adsorbente di Saccharomyces cerevisiae nei confronti di AFB1, somministrando la micotossina (280 ppb) insieme a una dieta contenente lo 0,2% del lievito. Le quote residuali delle due aflatossine sono state determinate con metodo HPLC in fluorescenza, previa purificazione con estrazione solida (SPE). Muscolo e grasso sono risultati costantemente negativi per entrambe le micotossine, mentre i livelli rilevati in fegato e rene appaiono molto bassi per la AFB1 (valori compresi tra 0,03 e 0,12 ppb) e leggermente superiori per la AFM1 (valori compresi tra 0,39 e 0,72 ppb)
Die Konzentrationen von endokrin wirksamen Substanzen (EDC) in Gewässern nehmen seit Jahren zu. Ihre toxische Wirkung ist schon länger bekannt, jedoch sind die gegenwärtigen Verfahren zur Entfernung ...der EDC, wie die Adsorption an Aktivkohle, mit hohen Kosten verbunden. Das natürlich vorkommende Gestein Alginit kann die existierende Methodik wirkungsvoll ergänzen. Aufgrund seines heterogenen Aufbaus lassen sich sowohl polare als auch unpolare EDC aus dem Wasser entfernen.

Auf der ACHEMA 2018 stellten sich 24 Firmen mit Bezug zum Themenfeld Adsorption vor. Das weit gefächerte Ausstellerfeld reichte von Adsorbentienherstellern über Messgeräteentwickler bis hin zu ...Anlagenbauern. Aufgrund der zeitlichen Nähe zur Fachmesse IFAT/Entsorga waren in diesem Jahr etwas weniger Aussteller vertreten als in den vorausgehenden Jahren. Der Bericht umreißt die wichtigsten Trends und Neuerungen aus der Adsorptionstechnik, die auf den Ständen präsentiert und in Gesprächen von den Ausstellern thematisiert wurden.
This year, 24 companies introduced their products regarding to the topic of adsorption at the ACHEMA 2018. The diversified field of exhibitors ranged from adsorbent manufacturers to developers of measuring instruments and plant builders. Due to the temporal proximity to the IFAT/Entsorga trade fair, there were slightly fewer exhibitors this time than in the previous years. The report outlines the most important trends and innovations in adsorption technology that were presented at the stands and discussed with exhibitors.
Im Rückblick auf die ACHEMA 2018 wird zum Themenfeld Adsorption berichtet. Der Artikel thematisiert die wichtigsten Trends und Neuerungen in der Adsorptionstechnik, die von den Ausstellern auf den Ständen präsentiert wurden. Im Fokus stehen dabei Adsorbentien, Analyse‐Geräte sowie Adsorptionsverfahren und ‐anlagen.
