The objective of this article is to propose a methodology for the construction and validation of a measurement instrument for perceived business quality (PBQ). To this end, the authors first suggest ...the development of the PBQ concept. Second, based on the methods of service quality measurement, the authors develop and validate a measurement instrument through the use of the structural equations models methodology.
Final results point to the existence of three dimensions on PBQ: perceived product quality, perceived service quality, and business orientation toward quality. These three dimensions, although correlated, appear as differentiated traits of PBQ. Furthermore, with regard to the measurement instrument, several different tests show the existence of a high degree of reliability and construct validity, which justifies its suitability as a measurement of PBQ. It will allow the practitioner to evaluate the business quality level and use it to test the influence of business quality on customer behavior (consequents) and the determinants of business quality (antecedents).
Ovaj rad je rezultat empirijskog istraživanja provedenog među 180 najvećih Hrvatskih tvrtki sa stajališta ukupne dobiti. Istraživanje je bilo namijenjeno voditeljima internih revizorskih odjela ali i ...menadžerima koji nadgledaju poslovanje unutar tvrtke. Istraživanje je provedeno u periodu od veljače do ožujka 2007. U tom su periodu na upitnik odgovorile 43 tvrtke što znači da je stopa povratne informacije 24%. Cilj ovog empirijskog istraživanja bio je istražiti trenutnu poziciju i prisustvo interne revizije u hrvatskim tvrtkama te istražiti instrumente mjerenja, kvalitetu poslovanja među internim revizorima u Hrvatskoj i ispitati doprinos kojeg interni revizori daju u poboljšanju kvalitete poslovanja najuspješnijih tvrtki u Hrvatskoj.
Today, business quality and quality management evolve to become the strategic components of modern companies. Business quality can not be partially evaluated; all organizational sequences must be ...systematically comprehended. Quality management is developed globally. With that purpose different methods of national awards in quality management are developed constantly. One of above mentioned awards is also the American national quality award (MBNQA); representing one of the service/product quality improvement systems with a strategic goal of achieving business excellence. This business quality research is focused on the sample of two hundred and fifty five Croatian hotel companies. Through its improvement even better results can be achieved.
The role of modern educational technologies in formation of students' business qualities is explained in the article; the essence and basic requirements for the application of the project method ...and the case method in education are explained; pedagogical conditions for successful formation of students' business qualities in higher education institutions are formulated; the conclusions about the pedagogical effectiveness of the use of modern educational technologies have been made. Analytical work proved that the formation of students' business qualities is an important task for high school teachers. The content of modern educational technologies is determined.
The means and possibilities of the project method and the case method are analyzed, it is found that the use of these methods stimulates and promotes the formation and development of students' business qualities. It is noted that these methods are characterized by a significant pedagogical effect, as they develop such personal characteristics as the ability to analyze problems, the ability to formulate and express their position clearly, communicate, discuss, perceive and evaluate information. They form self-confidence, communication skills, creativity and many other traits of personality.
The survey found that the most important business qualities of the respondents consider themselves: self-confidence, responsibility, creativity, persistence, sociability.
The level of business qualities of students of higher education institutions is determined: 30% of students have high level of business qualities, 35% - average, and 35% - low. This means that 70% of the student population needs the formation and correction of personal business qualities. The following pedagogical conditions of formation of business qualities of students by means of modern educational technologies are defined and theoretically substantiated:
- implementation of a set of traditional and innovative forms and methods of training focused on the formation of business qualities of the individual;
- creation of positive motivation of students for formation of business qualities, need for self-improvement;
- introduction of the system of knowledge about modern educational technologies as a means of formation of business qualities of the individual.
In the article the author proceeds from the fact that in modern conditions an employee must meet the high requirements for his professionalism and competence, knowledge and experience, personal, ...business and physical qualities. Professional-business qualities are a set of professional means by which an employee is able to perform the labor function assigned to him in a qualitative and timely manner. It is proved that one of the main guarantees in the conclusion of an employment contract is the prohibition of groundless refusal to an employment. The latter is interpreted as unmotivated or motivated with the reference to the circumstances that do not belong to the professional and business qualities of an employee, the employer’s refusal to an employee in concluding an employment contract with him. The position is advocated about the legislative fixing of the norm by which an employer may refuse an employee to employ that is only as follows: a) absence of vacant positions; b) insufficiency or lack of appropriate qualifications in the person seeking an employment; c) presence of restrictions established by the legislation on employment; d) presence of restrictions on medical indicators. In all other cases, the refusal to employ an employee should be considered as contradictory to Labor law.
