Teacher in-service training is one of the ways to introduce innovative
solutions to teaching, whereby obtaining an insight into teachers?
experiences proves to be vital for understanding this ...process. In our
country, the studies dealing with this problem are fairly rare. Using this as
a starting point, the aim of our study was to obtain an insight into class
teachers? experiences in implementing innovative teaching methods during the
in-service training programmes whose focus was on encouraging the cooperation
and creativity of students during classes. This study is a part of a more
extensive experimental research that was conducted at a primary school in
Belgrade within the Trefoil educational model. The sample included eight
first-grade and second-grade class teachers, whose conversations, which took
place during ten meetings of the teachers? board, were analysed. A
qualitative thematic content analysis was used in data processing. The
results indicate that the previous knowledge and experience of class
teachers, as well as their implicit pedagogical beliefs, are important
factors which determine the successfulness of the implementation of
innovative solutions in teaching. The implementation of innovative methods in
teaching and the exchange of experiences with colleagues and the facilitator
during the in-service training have contributed to the re-examination of
class teachers? implicit pedagogical beliefs and the shift in their work with
respect to motivation, effectiveness, cooperation with colleagues and
implementing a differentiated approach in teaching. Class teachers?
perceptions also point towards the positive changes when it comes to
students? motivation and their more active positioning during classes. The
key implications of the current study refer to the necessity of intensifying
the long-term programmes in our in-service teacher training system that would
create the necessary conditions for a more successful implementation of
innovative solutions in teaching. Finally, it is also pointed out to the
limitations of the current study.

The purposes of the present study were to analyze the structure of cooperation between elementary school teachers in charge of resource rooms and teachers in charge of regular classes, and to explore ...the relation between the teachers' cooperation and their methods of exchange of information. Participants in the study were 125 resource room teachers who completed questionnaires that were distributed to 93 schools that had resource rooms in 5 prefectures in the area of Japan referred to as Hokushin'etsu (Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui, Nagano, and Niigata prefectures). Exploratory factor analysis revealed a 4-factor solution. The factors were daily sharing of information about children with regular class teachers, practical use and report of information about children that was obtained from regular class teachers, sharing teaching goals and assessments of the children, and providing information to regular class teachers at the beginning. Comparisons of scores on each of the scales by those teachers making practical use of notebooks as a method of information exchange and those who did not use notebooks revealed significant differences on several of the factors. In addition, comparison of scores on each of the scales between the teachers using case conferences and those not doing so revealed significant differences on all 4 factors.
"This compilation introduces 14 articles that use method of empathy-based stories as a methodology and all of which look at changes in the field of education. This compilation discusses many current ...themes, such as changes in teaching and working methods at different levels of education, change management and curriculum work. The book also provides an insight into how children experience stories of news reports or how girls construct girlhood in their stories. All the articles in this compilation are combined with a review of educational change, along with a methodological connection: the material of all the articles is collected using the method of empathy-based stories. The book shows how multipurpose this method is: it is equally suitable for examining the perceptions of children as well as for examining a whole organizational change. The book presents not only the practical research carried out with the method, but also provides a guide to the methodology and introduces good practices. "
Kaikkia edellä kuvattuja artikkeleita yhdistää kasvatuspainotteisen muutoksen tarkastelun ohella metodologinen yhteys: kaikkien artikkelien aineisto on kerätty eläytymismenetelmää käyttäen. Teos osoittaa, kuinka monikäyttöisestä menetelmästä on kyse: se sopii yhtälailla lasten käsitysten tutkimiseen kuin kokonaisen organisaatiomuutoksen tarkasteluun. Teos esittelee paitsi menetelmällä tehtyjä käytännön tutkimuksia, tarjoaa myös käyttöohjeen menetelmään vasta tutustuvalle tutkijalle. Teos esittelee eläytymismenetelmän hyviä käytäntöjä sekä systemaattisen kirjallisuushaun eläytymismenetelmän käytöstä. "

In an effort to ensure a high level of implementation and increase the efficiency of the use of teaching aids in music education, a research was conducted in the academic 2014/2015 with an aim to ...test whether the educational level of teachers, the number of years of their experience at work, and the particular school in which the teachers are employed influence their selection of teaching aids used in the course in music education. The aim of the study was to determine whether the selection and use of teaching aids influences the quality of teaching the course in music education. The attitudes of participants were studied by means of a questionnaire specifically designed for the present research. The total sample comprised 113 primary school class teachers. The study so conducted has determined the current situation in the teaching practice, any significant differences emerging from the connection between the use of teaching aids in the course in music education and a number of general variables, including any prior elementary musical education of the teachers themselves.
Research studies on teaching practice have shown that not enough attention is
paid to the problem of children?s creativity development in our schools in
spite of the fact that the development of ...creative potentials in preschool
institutions and school figures as one of the priority educational tasks. The
perceptions of creativity and creative potentials of future kindergarten and
class teachers can serve as an important basis for encouraging the
development of their professional competences. This research was aimed at
examining students? knowledge and beliefs on creativity, obtaining
self-assessment of their own creative potentials and determining the level of
expression of students? creativity based on their abilities of creative
problem-solving. The sample included the students of the Faculty of
Pedagogical Sciences in Jagodina and Teacher Training College in Vranje
(N=300). For examining students? creative potentials we used the Epstein
Creativity Competences Inventory and a version of the Saugstad & Rahaim
Problem Solving Tests. Research results have confirmed that students possess
the knowledge and the beliefs compatible with the modern scientific beliefs
on creativity. They assess their own creative potentials as very high and
they do possess them. The obtained results can serve as a better foundation
for working with students towards fostering the development of their creative
potentials and professional competences.
This paper reports the findings of a case study in which a curriculum-based positive youth development program (Project P.A.T.H.S.) was implemented by the class teachers in a school. School-related ...factors which contributed to the success of program implementation were identified in the study. Results showed that factors facilitating the program implementation were closely related to the "5Ps" model (i.e., program, people, process, policy and place). While all the above factors contributed to the success of program implementation, the "people" factor was identified as the most crucial factor. Overall, both the students and program implementers perceived the program to be effective in promoting holistic development in the program participants.
