The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of peculiarities of the content types, which can be placed in social media and Ukrainian Internet media, its differences, types of manipulation, and ...methods of prevention, perception, and distribution of unreliable information, determination of difference between fact and judgment. The article also analyzes the statistics of social media usage in Ukraine and around the world, using Facebook as an example. Various kinds and types of media existing on the Internet and traditional, conducted a survey of the most popular content using the Starch method, it was possible to identify how a person perceives one content that is placed on different media. The relationship between content type and media type is established. The phenomenon of information restriction, arising as a result of modern algorithms embedded in the Internet companies and social media, their positive and negative aspects and why, therefore, we are deprived of a choice among a wide range of other topics, and learning some other points of view was considered. Examining the origin and meaning of the "Information Bubble" term, the authors propose to use a different term, "Membrane of Relevance", which, in their opinion, is more relevant to the essence of the said concept. The authors propose to use a taxonomy method to determine the impact of content on a particular type of media, which will greatly simplify the content analysis process.
These days, Internet-based electronic marketplaces (EMs) are getting more and more popular. They emerge in different industries, supporting the exchange of goods and services of different kinds, with ...and for different types of actors, and are following different architectural principles. Most observers have assumed that EM would come to dominate the e-business landscape. Once you look beyond the publicity, however, you quickly see that most EMs are struggling. The supply chain dimension of an EM is largely neglected and poorly managed, while basic logistics operation is currently hampering turnover and revenues. The Paper at hand examines, based on a critical literature review, the actual EM discussion and calls for more supply chain management research within this field.
Adaptive supply chain partnerships are a key factor in driving the ability of extended enterprise partners to achieve long-term goals in an environment characterized by disruptive environmental ...shifts. Adaptive extended enterprise arrangements allow participating enterprises to leverage their combined assets for collective exploration and exploitation. In the context of extended enterprises, where significant investments have been directed toward instituting common interfaces, this study examines the question: How does the use of standard electronic business interfaces (SEBIs) enable supply chain partnerships to become more adaptive ?
This study conceptualizes the use of SEBIs as a boundary-spanning mechanism that helps overcome boundaries that impede knowledge transfer between enterprises in supply chains. SEBIs enables partners to gain insight into their broader environments, enriching each partner's perspective (enhanced bridging ). SEBIs also help strengthen the cooperative ties between partners, motivating each partner to adapt for collective gain (enhanced bonding ).
Our research model is empirically tested using data collected from 41 demand-side supply chain partnerships (between original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), distributors, and retailers) in the information technology (IT) industry. The results show that collaborative information exchange (CIE) between supply chain partners mediates the relationship between use of SEBIs and mutual adaptation (MA) and adaptive knowledge creation between supply chain partners. Interestingly, the use of SEBIs is found to be directly associated with MA but only indirectly associated with adaptive knowledge creation.
The study points out that the strategic impacts of SEBIs go well beyond the exchange of transaction information and process integration. It also shows that multilateral, quasi-open, and information exchange–and process linkage–oriented SEBIs can result in both bonding and bridging across supply chain partners without binding them inflexibly to specific partners. Based on the model and results, the study offers practical implications for how SEBIs should be developed, adopted, and used.
Currently, almost all direct marketing activities take place virtually rather than in person, weakening interpersonal skills at an alarming pace. Furthermore, businesses have been striving to sense ...and foster the tendency of their clients to accept a marketing offer. The digital transformation and the increased virtual presence forced firms to seek novel marketing research approaches. This research aims at leveraging the power of telemarketing data in modeling the willingness of clients to make a term deposit and finding the most significant characteristics of the clients. Real-world data from a Portuguese bank and national socio-economic metrics are used to model the telemarketing decision-making process. This research makes two key contributions. First, propose a novel genetic algorithm-based classifier to select the best discriminating features and tune classifier parameters simultaneously. Second, build an explainable prediction model. The best-generated classification models were intensively validated using 50 times repeated 10-fold stratified cross-validation and the selected features have been analyzed. The models significantly outperform the related works in terms of class of interest accuracy, they attained an average of 89.07% and 0.059 in terms of geometric mean and type I error respectively. The model is expected to maximize the potential profit margin at the least possible cost and provide more insights to support marketing decision-making.
The purpose of this paper is to develop a hybrid model Ukrainian language sentiment analyzer, which should improve the accuracy of the mood definition to expand the Ukrainian language among the ...instruments on the market. The object of research is the processes of determining the language of the text and predicting its sentiment score. The subject of the study is Ukrainian comments posted by Google Maps users. The following text categories are taken into account: food, hotels, museums, and shops. The new method was built as an ensemble of support vector machine, logistic regression, and XGBoost, in combination with a rule-based algorithm. The practical use of the algorithm makes it possible to analyze the Ukrainian text in accordance with the category with the visualization of the research results. The accuracy of the proposed method is bigger than 0.88 in the worst case. The mining procedure of the positive and negative sides of service providers based on users’ feedback is developed. It allows electronics business to make improvements based on frequent positive and negative words.
Supply chain management is likely to play an important role in the digital economy. In this paper, we first describe major issues in traditional supply chain management. Next, we focus our attention ...on the supply chain issues of visibility, supplier relationships, distribution and pricing, customization, and real-time decision technologies that have risen to importance with the prevalence of e-business. We present an overview of relevant analytical research models that have been developed in these areas, discuss their contributions, and conclude with a discussion on future modeling opportunities in this area.
Electronic commerce, that allows business to be performed over the Internet, has been a major trend in this century. Many businesses are moving on-line. However, there are neither guidelines nor ...theories to show how electronic store features affect consumer purchases. This paper uses a consumer-oriented perspective to derive functional requirements for e-store design. These needs are grouped into three categories: motivation, hygiene, and media richness.
An empirical study was conducted on three on-line bookstores to evaluate the relative importance of these factors. The results show that the quality of e-store design has an effect on the consumer purchase decision. Consumers are more likely to shop at well-designed websites. Among the on-line functions, support of transaction and post-sales services play key roles.
Hygiene factors are critical when consumers decide whether to shop electronically, while motivational factors play a key role when consumers choose among different electronic stores.
Media richness factors are, in general, least important. The implication of the findings is that providing good transactional support and post-sales services to the customer is the key.
This article reviews 26 years (1994–2020) of research on electronic business published in reputable journals of the field. The basic aim behind this study is to define the growth potential of ...electronic business and marketing as a theoretical field and provide insights on past, present, and future scientific production in the field. By using bibliometrics and topic modeling techniques, annual scientific production and growth, latent topic structures, and trends by years, information on total citations and networks were examined. While the authors defined the research orientations by uncovering the main topics associated with electronic business, they created an understanding of the possible future research directions of fourteen topics discovered. The results show that, while the transaction-focused publications prevailed in the early years of electronic business and marketing journals, from the mid2000s, the focus has shifted towards marketing-focused publications. Moreover, to understand the main orientations in the field, the authors conducted a citation analysis to define the most influential topics published in the journals. The article also provides information on the most influential researchers in the field.
