This clinical report presents a new method for retrieving separated instruments from the root canal with minimally invasive procedures.
The presence of separated instrument in root canal may ...interfere in the endodontic treatment prognosis. There are several recommended methods to retrieve separated instruments, but some are difficult in clinically practice.
This study describes two cases of separated instrument removal from the root canal using a stainless-steel prepared needle associated with a K-file. Case 1 presented a fractured gutta-percha condenser within the mandibular second premolar, it was separated during incorrect intracanal medication calcium hydroxide placement. Case 2 had a fractured sewing needle within the upper central incisor that the patient used to remove food debris from the root canal. After cervical preparation, the fractured instruments were fitted inside a prepared needle and then an endodontic instrument (#25 K-file) was adapted with clockwise turning motion between the needle inner wall and the fragment.
The endodontic or atypical nonendodontic separated instrument may be easily pull on of the root canal using a single and low cost device.
The methods for retrieving separated instruments from root canal are difficult and destructive procedures. The present case describes a simple method to solve this problem.

Različita istraživanja (arheološka, medicinska i dr.) proučavaju etiologiju Crne smrti, evoluciju razvoja, povijest, pojavu i širenje kuge u Europi tog doba. Pojedina literarna djela (De contemptu mundi; De miseria humane conditions Innocenta III.), artes morendi, memento mori (Hélinand de Froidmont, Les Vers de la Mort) koriste se kao predlošci za likovnu izvedbu teme plesa mrtvaca.
The Medieval Danse Macabre is depicted in many sacred buildings. Some of these works comprise an important part of the artistic legacy of Late–Medieval Europe. We may look upon the Danse Macabre as a form of artistic expression which symbolically unites the worldly and the religious and thematically puts forward the message of equality among people regardless of class. The Middle Ages are characterised by the cholera pandemic, adversity and war, all of which had an effect on cultural creativity. Various research (archeological, medical, etc.) explores the etiology of the Black Death, the development, history, appearance and spreading of the plague in Europe at that time. Certain literary works (De contemptu mundi; De miseria humane conditions Innocenta III.), artes morendi, memento mori (Hélinand de Froidmont, Les Vers de la Mort)avail themselves of Danse Macabre themes as a paradigm for artistic performances.

Povijest bolesti može se istraživati na različite načine. Istraživanje može ostati u striktno medicinskim okvirima i fokusirati se na oblik bolesti, pitanja prevencije, metode liječenja i drugo. ...Međutim, bolest nije samo medicinski fenomen zato što se njezine posljedice osjećaju na široj društvenoj razini. Stoga je važno uočiti na koji način bolest utječe na povijest. U radu se ovaj utjecaj promatra na primjeru triju epidemija koje su u različitim povijesnim periodima poharale različita područja. Spomenuti utjecaj promatra se kroz prizmu trajanja, geografskog dosega te pretpostavke bi li povijest bila drugačija da se bolest nije dogodila.
The Black Death left a deep mark on the late Middle Ages. Some historians have argued
that it crucially informed the subsequent development of medieval and early
modern European societies. It is for ...these reasons that Western historians produced
substantial scholarship on this topic. The number of the studies is large and it would
be impossible to discuss each and every one. And even if one decided to do so, this
text would be a dry list of references rather than an account of the key problems
that modern historiography has faced when studying the Black Death. Because of
the substantial scholarship on this epidemic, this essay will focus on the history of
Black Death in Europe, which will then in turn allow a study of the key theses and
questions examined in literature more generally.
Croatian historiography has hitherto paid little attention to this mid-fourteenth
century epidemic. This is rather surprising given the substantial interest that the
Croatian Middle Ages have received in the last three decades. But the histories of
diseases and epidemics in Croatia have been, by and large, studied by historians of
medicine only. They have applied their methodological tools to examine plague
epidemics in Dalmatia and Dubrovnik relatively well. Yet we need to pay more attention
to the mid-fourteenth century epidemics. The preserved archival material
allows at least a preliminary assessment. A systematic examination of the extant
sources should be followed up by studies into the effects of the Black Death upon
the society, economy and politics of the medieval Croatian territories
The salt beds of Lower Tertiary developed in the mid-segment of Kuqa foreland fold belt, northern Tarim basin. They considerably controlled structural deformation of the belt. According to the field ...observation, seismic profile interpretation and drilling data, three different structural styles of supra-salt, intra-salt and sub-salt occurred in the Kuqa foreland fold belt. Supra-salt structural styles mainly include thrust faults and fault-related sags. Intra-slat structural styles essentially are salt-pillows, intra-salt faults and folds, and salt weld structures. Sub-salt structural styles mainly consist of imbricated thrust faults, duplex structures, pop-up and fault-related folds. It is indicated that great differences exist among supra-salt, intra-salt and sub-salt structures of Kuqa foreland fold belt. The salt-related structures were formed in the same structural stress field. The dynamic mechanism of the salt-related structures is mainly associated with gravitation, compression and plastic flow of salt beds.
Proto‐Japan originated from a continental margin of the Neoproterozoic Yangtze (South China) craton. It represents a unique Permo‐Triassic tectonic setting in western Panthalassa, where two distinct ...types of orogenic belt occurred side by side. There was an accretionary orogen between the Yangtze craton and the Proto‐Pacific (Farallon) Plate and a collisional orogen between the Sino‐Korean (North China) and Yangtze cratons. This article reviews results of the latest on‐land geological studies concerning Permo‐Triassic tectonics in Japan and proposes a new plate tectonic interpretation as well as a paleogeographic reconstruction of this particularly unique geotectonic regime. Special emphases are given to (i) the accretion processes and products derived by collision‐subduction of the Permian Akiyoshi paleoseamount and Maizuru paleo‐oceanic plateau; (ii) the field occurrence of 220‐Ma Sangun high‐P/T schists and its implication for the exhumation process and ‘tectonic sandwich’ structure; (iii) the extensive development of a subhorizontal nappe of the pre‐Jurassic rocks and their bearing on the orogenic edifice; and (iv) the restricted occurrence of the 250‐Ma collision complex in the Hida and Oki belts and the relevant connection to the Precambrian cratons and collision suture in East Asia. The newly proposed paleogeographic reconstruction is also tested by faunal provinciality of Permo‐Triassic fossils from shallow‐water sediments.

Sudske parnice o nasljedstvu omogućavaju detaljniji uvid u gubitke devet plemićkih obitelji (Senzadeo, Detrico, Botono, Cande, Sloraddo, Soppe, Saladini, Rosa, Drechia, Bogde/Lovrehna), što se može dopuniti podacima iz oporuka i suvremenim mletačkim izvorima.
