Bu makalede, geyik mitinin geçmişten günümüze imgeleşerek kült hâline gelişine
odaklanılmaktadır. Geyik mitine hem Doğu hem de Batı medeniyetlerinin yazılı
kaynaklarında geniş bir şekilde yer ...verildiği görülmektedir. Bunun nedeni, efsanelerde,
menkıbelerde, destanlarda, ayinlerde geçen geyik mitinin insanlar için temsili
özellikleri olmalıdır. Söz konusu çalışmada geniş bir tarama yapılarak biri Doğu biri
de Batı uygarlığından geyik sembolü içeren temsili iki görsel seçilmiştir. Bu görsellerin
okunmasında kuram olarak Göstergebilim yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Böylelikle
makalede, geyik figürü üzerine yoğunlaşılarak kadim bilgelikte ve sosyal antropolojide
söz konusu geyik mithosunun nasıl dönüştürüldüğü evreleriyle birlikte ortaya konmaya
çalışılmıştır. Bu çerçevede dinsel, hatta metafiziksel bir mitin nasıl dünyevileştirildiği,
büyüsünün ve sihrinin muhafaza edilerek liberalizmin potasında nasıl kendisine özgü bir
mistik özellik kazandırıldığı vurgulanmaktadır. Son bölümde ise literatür araştırmaları
doğrultusunda dinsel bir mit olarak Anadolu efsanelerinin özüne sinen Hacı Bektaş-i
Veli’nin bulunduğu bir resim ile kapitalizmin miti hâline dönüştürülen Noel Baba’nın
bulunduğu bir poster üzerinde karşılaştırmalı görsel okuma yapılmaktadır. Göstergebilim
yaklaşımıyla geyik sembolünün kadim bilgelik mitinden tüketim toplumu ikonu hâline
dönüşümü kaydedilmektedir.
Planted forest plays vital role in tree biomass which stored as carbon through carbon sequestration process and help reduce global warming and climate change effect. Estimation of biomass volume is ...the important process to determine the carbon contents stored in planted forest trees. Study was conducted to estimate the biomass and carbon content of Pinus caribaea trees using allometry models at Bulolo forest plantation in Morobe Province of Papua New Guinea. Study involves center plot of the cluster design in order to collect field data as sample size The field data was collected by measuring stem of Pinus caribaea tree species using two variables, diameter at breast height (DBH) and height. Finding reveals that first and highest rank biomass stem content and carbon stocking was 472,4 biomass/ha, followed by 407,076 biomass/ha and the least was 320,97 biomass/ha. Study reveals that biomass stem content and carbon stocking with 407,076 biomass/ha was the more suitable and applicable model for calculation of Pinus caribaea in Bulolo forest plantation. Study recommends the log formula derived from the biomass stem content and carbon stocking of 407,076 biomass/ha, as the reliable model to be used for estimation of biomass content and carbon stock of Pinus caribaea tree species Bulolo forest plantation and else way in Papua New Guinea.
In 1982, Japan launched its Fifth Generation Computer Systems project (FGCS), designed to develop intelligent software that would run on novel computer hardware. As the first national, large-scale ...artificial intelligence (AI) research and development (R&D) project to be free from military influence and corporate profit motives, the FGCS was open, international, and oriented around public goods. Although the FGCS did not plan any commercialized technologies, many American computer experts portrayed it as an economic threat to U.S. dominance in computing and the global economy—and policymakers around the developed world believed them and funded AI projects of their own. Later, however, the FGCS was remembered as a failure. Why? This article recasts the FGCS as an interstice in the shift from a state-funded regime of American science organization to the neoliberal privatized regime of R&D now ascendant around the world. By exploring how notions of economic competitiveness and national security shaped R&D, this article reveals AI to be a product of contingent choices by multiple actors—nation-states, government bureaucracies, corporations, and individuals—rather than the outcome of deterministic technological forces.
Westernler, Amerikan toplumunun belirli bir dönemine ait tarihsel, kültürel ve sosyalyapıyı yansıtması bakımından Hollywood tarafından üretilen türler arasında ayrıcalıklı konumasahiptir. Western ...öykülerinin konu aldığı dönemde A.B.D’de gerçekleşen olaylar, tür için gereklimalzemeyi sağlamış ve westernlerin, Hollywood’a özgü bir tür haline gelmesine yol açmıştır.‘ABD’nin batısındaki keşfedilmemiş toprakların fethi ve uygarlaştırılması’ teması, bütünwesternlerin alt-metnini oluşturmakta ve böylece Amerikan uygarlığının kurgusal inşasındaönemli rol oynamaktadır. Vahşi Batı’nın uygarlaştırılması için yerleşimin yaygınlaşması, ulaşımve iletişim ağlarının kurulmaya başlamasının yanı sıra, hukuksal düzenlemelerin de hayatageçirilmesi gerekmiştir. Bu doğrultuda, western filmlerinin kurgusal evreninde, hukuk veadaletin sağlanması uygarlığın önkoşulu olarak sunulmaktadır. Çalışmada amaçlanan, Amerikanuygarlığının kuruluş miti ile western filmleri arasındaki ilişkiye işaret etmek ve westernlerdekiceza ve adalet anlayışının bu mitin inşasındaki işlevini ortaya koymaktır. Makalede ele alınanfilmler, tür eleştirisi kapsamında incelenmiştir. Tür eleştirisinin, tür kategorisinde yer alanfilmlerdeki ortaklıkları, tekrarlanan tema ve uylaşımları ortaya koymak ve tür filmlerinin kültürel,sosyal, tarihsel ve ideolojik yapıyla ilişkisini göstermek için uygun olduğu düşünülmektedir. Buyöntemin, westernlerde sunulan cezalandırma ve adalet anlayışını örneklendirme konusundayardımcı olması ve çalışmayı anlaşılır hale getirmesi hedeflenmiştir.

This paper presents the narrative of vice‐chief Meireles Karitiana, with the participation of chief‐shaman Cizino Karitiana, who discusses the Karitiana people’s origin myth, particularly in relation ...to the tension between God and Orá, his brother – a tension between good and evil. The paper describes what can be understood of ancestral life, and the value of connecting life and earth today, especially the forest. It highlights some aspects of the myth related particularly to consumption, domination, anthropocentricity, and the transcendent emergence of a third energy from the tension between the ‘good’ God and his ‘bad’ brother; this is related to Jungian thinking.
Cet article traite du récit du vice‐chef Meireles Karitiana ‐ avec la participation du chamane‐chef Cizino Karitiana ‐ qui aborde le mythe d’origine du peuple Karitiana, particulièrement en ce qui concerne la tension entre Dieu et Ora, son frère – une tension entre le bien et le mal. L’article décrit ce que l’on peut comprendre de la vie ancestrale, et l’importance de mettre en lien la vie et la terre aujourd’hui, et tout particulièrement la forêt. L’article souligne certains aspects du mythe, particulièrement ceux qui se rapportent à la consommation, la domination, l’anthropocentricité, et l’émergence transcendante d’une troisième énergie à partir de la tension entre le ‘bon’ Dieu et son ‘mauvais’ frère. Ceci est mis en lien avec la pensée Jungienne.
Dieser Aufsatz präsentiert die Erzählung des Vizehäuptlings Meireles Karitiana unter Beteiligung des Häuptlingsschamanen Cizino Karitiana, die den Ursprungsmythos der Karitiana diskutiert, insbesondere in Bezug auf die Spannung zwischen Gott und Orá, seinem Bruder – einer Spannung zwischen Gut und Böse. Der Text beschreibt, was man über das Leben der Vorfahren verstehen kann und welchen Wert es heute hat, das Leben und die Erde, insbesondere den Wald, zu verbinden. Es hebt einige Aspekte des Mythos hervor, die sich insbesondere auf Konsum, Herrschaft, Anthropozentrik und das transzendente Auftauchen einer dritten Energie aus der Spannung zwischen dem ‘guten’ Gott und seinem ‘bösen’ Bruder; dies wird in Beziehung gesetzt mit dem Jungiaschen Denken zusammen.
Questo articolo presenta la narrazione del vice‐capo Meireles Caritiana, con la partecipazione del capo‐sciamano Cizino Caritiana, che discute il mito d’origine del popolo Caritiano, in particolare in relazione alla tensione tra Dio e Orá, suo fratello ‐ una tensione tra bene e male. L’articolo descrive cosa può essere compreso della vita ancestrale, e il valore del collegare la vita e la terra oggi, in particolare la foresta. Evidenzia alcuni aspetti del mito in relazione in particolare al consumismo, alla dominazione, all’antropocentrismo, e all’emergere trascendente di una terza energia dalla tensione tra il Dio ‘buono’ ed il suo fratello ‘cattivo’; questo è legato al pensiero junghiano.
В данной статье приводится рассказ помощника вождя Мейрелеса Каритиана при участии главного шамана Чизино Каритиана, которые говорят о мифе о происхождении народа каритиана, в частности, о противостоянии между Богом и его братом Ора – о противостоянии добра и зла. В статье описывается, что рассказывает миф о жизни предков и о ценности связи жизни с землей, особенно лесом в наши дни. Выделен ряд аспектов мифа, связанных, в частности, с потреблением, властью, антропоцентризмом и трансцендентным появлением третьей энергии благодаря противостоянию между «хорошим» Богом и его «плохим» братом; это соотносится с юнгианским представлением.
El siguiente trabajo presenta la narrativa del vice‐jefe Meireles Karitiana con la participación del chamán Cizino Karitiana, quienes debaten acerca del mito de origen de la población Karitiana, particularmente con relación a la tensión entre Dios y Orá, su hermano – una tensión entre el bien y el mal. El trabajo describe la comprensión que podemos ganar de la vida ancestral, y el valor de conectar la vida y la tierra hoy, especialmente la selva. Destaca algunos aspectos del mito relacionados particularmente al consumo, la dominación, el antropocentrismo, y la emergencia trascendente de una tercera energía a partir de la tensión entre el ‘buen’ Dios y su hermano ‘malo’, lo cual se relaciona con el pensamiento Junguiano.

O artigo descreve o que pode ser entendido sobre a vida ancestral e o valor de conectar a vida e a terra hoje, especialmente a floresta. Ele destaca alguns aspectos do mito relacionados particularmente ao consumo, dominação, antropocentricidade e ao surgimento transcendente de uma terceira energia da tensão entre o Deus "bom" e seu irmão "ruim" isso está relacionado ao pensamento junguiano.

To explore supervisor behaviours that might facilitate supervisees' proficiency in motivational interviewing.
In this exploratory study, ten supervisors from a primary prevention intervention of childhood obesity responded to semi-structured interviews about their supervision behaviours. A mixed method approach was used; both qualitative and quantitative data were collected and analysed.
The supervisors reported using several sources of information for evaluating and providing systematic feedback on supervisees' performance. However, the majority did not use the available objective measures of proficiency as the primary source. Moreover, half of the supervisors argued that objective feedback might have a punishing effect on the supervisees.
Variation in the use of supervision components that previous research has proposed to be potentially influential to the process and outcome may lead to less efficient supervision. Findings suggest that appropriate supervision activities conducted in each supervision session require clear supervision principles that specify the content and procedure of the supervision, as well as regular adherence monitoring of the supervision sessions.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a person-centred counselling approach to behaviour change which is increasingly being used in public health settings, either as a stand-alone approach or in ...combination with other structured programmes of health promotion. One example of this is the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) a licensed, preventative programme for first time mothers under the age of 20, delivered by specialist family nurses who are additionally trained in MI. The Building Blocks trial was an individually randomised controlled trial comparing effectiveness of Family Nurse Partnership when added to usual care compared to usual care alone within 18 sites in England. The aim of this process evaluation component of the trial is to determine the extent to which Motivational Interviewing skills taught to Family Nurse Partnership nurses were used in their home visits with clients.
Between July 2010 and November 2011, 92 audio-recordings of nurse-client consultations were collected during the 'pregnancy' and 'infancy' phases of the FNP programme. They were analysed using The Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity (MITI) coding system.
A competent level of overall MI adherent practice according to the MITI criteria for 'global clinician ratings' was apparent in over 70 % of the consultations. However, on specific behaviours and the MITI-derived practitioner competency variables, there was a large variation in the percentage of recordings in which "beginner proficiency" levels in MI (as defined by the MITI criteria) was achieved, ranging from 73.9 % for the 'MI adherent behaviour' variable in the pregnancy phase to 6.7 % for 'percentage of questions coded as open' in the infancy phase.
The results suggest that it is possible to deliver a structured programme in an MI-consistent way. However, some of the behaviours regarded as key to MI practice such as the percentage of questions coded as open can be more difficult to achieve in such a context. This is an important consideration for those involved in designing effective structured interventions with an MI-informed approach and wanting to maintain fidelity to both MI and the structured programme.

The recent war demonstrated that technology would win the future wars and the communist countries must be stopped from stealing the West’s technology. The Truman administration drew up long lists of items to be banned, and the President Eisenhower continued the process with US embassy officials policing the operation. The Kennedy administration lessened the intensity of its ban that slightly favoured China although President Johnson reimposed the prohibitions and it was left to President Nixon along with Dr. Kissinger to lessen the East–West trade embargo and soften the relationships.
