The elective subjects chosen by the students of the Informatics Engineering major are irrefutable evidence of dispersion in the topics selected; this paper proposes profiling output grouping of the ...optional subjects so as to respond to the interests of the territory of a thorough preparation of the future graduates in specific fields or spheres of activity related to their profession, not necessarily a specialty. In addition to the distribution of the schedule, content, time and assessments in an efficient manner it will enable the implementation of the profiles created.
The paper sets out to analyse the status of the modern foreign language as a compulsory National Curriculum subject taught at primary level in Romanian and English contemporary schools. Another ...central issue is that of adaptation to and assimilation of the new educational changes. Whether a subject is optional or compulsory, the teacher will always try to be proficient in his/her work regardless of his/her nationality. Thus, the talented teacher has a major role in developing pupils’ foreign language competencies.
Current system of the advanced and optional subjects in Korean language curriculum have failed to develop well balanced linguistic competence due to providing learners with specialized subjects based ...on content spheres. Korean language curriculum for high school course should aim at educating student to be a well cultured person with excellent linguistic competence. So I propose new system of high school course for Korean language education as follows. 1. Lets replace current optional subjects by canons of all fields. 2. Learning activities must include hearing, speaking, reading, writing and grammar. 3. Students can use textbook for reference providing knowledges and cases for learning activities. 4. The national academic aptitude test Ⅰ must assess all competences of hearing, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and literature. The national academic aptitude test Ⅱ assess writing competence on topics.
In recent years, many universities have adopted the adjusted median method as a way to adjust scores between the optional subjects on university entrance examinations. However, there has been little ...discussion of its nature from a test theory perspective. Therefore, we examined the kinds of adjustment results that are produced by using the adjusted median method to adjust scores according to the difference in mean and standard deviation between the optional subjects. Results indicated that when test scores are distributed in normal distributions, the adjusted median method generally adjusts the score so that subjects which originally have a high mean distribution with a large standard deviation are more advantageous to the top performers. In principle, score adjustment should be carried out to eliminate such inequity. Meanwhile, the adjusted median method is advantageous in that even after adjusting the score, the zero and perfect scores remain unchanged, and the adjusted score can be easily calculated by using the median. The advantages and disadvantages of this method must thus be considered when being implemented.
This article summarizes a quasi-experimental investigation conducted in Secondary School with two distinct objectives: establishing the possible relationship between a student’s learning style (from ...Honey-Alonso’s perspective) and performance in math; and critically analyzing whether the selection process of optional courses in Compulsory Secondary School is based on objective, fair, and appropriate information about the student. The studied sample showed that there are significant relationships between the middle-high math performance level and an emphasis on reflexive and theoretical areas of study. It has also been found that the students in each optional course conform to a homogeneous subgroup with respect to the students’ performance and learning styles.
The language transcripts of seven children with Down syndrome (DS) and seven typically developing children with comparable mean length of utterance (MLU) levels were examined for their use of verb ...argument structure. The children’s production of subject arguments, direct object arguments, and inappropriate use of arguments (anomalies) were compared for each group. When compared across verb category, the results of this study revealed no significant group differences for the omission of subject arguments. However, when arguments for transitive verb productions were compared, the children with DS were more likely to omit subject arguments in comparison to direct object arguments. In addition, the normal control group was more likely to use anomalous argument patterns than the children with DS. These findings suggest that syntactic difficulties that are characteristic of children with DS may delay them in overcoming the optional subject (OS) phenomena (Ingham, 1992). A greater number of anomalous arguments used by the normal children suggests an inadequate knowledge of argument structure at this stage of language development.
As a result of this activity, the participant will be able to describe the relationship between syntax and semantics as it applies to the knowledge of verbs in children with Down syndrome.
In this time, We are faced with a turning point of high school building. Corresponding to the change of social environment, the new movements about education reformation such as large enforcement of ...optional subject system, quicken the flexible operation of credit system and newly established synthetic course of study have already been started with the introduction of new curriculum. In this paper, we conducted investigation about disjoint condition of class and it's pattern in using the school rooms in order to obtain the planning concept of school rooms.
