Jan Pavel II. v Olomouci- Extended description:

<mce:style><! st1:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } --> With President Havel's visit to Pope the question of canonization of Jan Sarkander was re-opened. Moravian Catholics believe that it will happen next year during the Pope's vistit in Olomouc. It will be their first saint. Jan Sarkander is a symbol of violent recatholization for Evangelists. He was declared a traitor and martyred. He was never convicted. For Catholics, he became a martyr. He is still perceived differently by Protestants and Catholics.- Information:- Dual view on John Sarkander.- All metadata published by Europeana are available free of restriction under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication. Provider: - Institution: - Data provided by Europeana Collections- Maja 1996 le Karol Wojtyla, papež Janez Pavel II. obiskal Slovenijo. A kam? Nazadnje so mu našli odličen prostor v neposredni bližin, v Zalogu, ob cerkvici sv. Danijela iz 15. stoletja z Nanosom v ozadju. A Iz ruševin na Krpanovi Sv. Trojici/Lonci je v naslednjih letih spet zrasla, svojčas opuščena cerkev.
