The aim of this work is to trace and present basic project documents and to present simplified project management on the example of a student project. The paper contains a short definition of the ...project and the growing popularity of project management. Then, a student project of AGH Lean Line, consisting in the construction of a construction project in the field of management and production engineering and promotional activities through conference trips, was presented. Project management is based on basic project documents, which were collected and briefly characterized according to the methodology developed in the scientific community. At the end, individual documents created for the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) project were presented.
Project documentation represents a valuable source of knowledge in project-based organizations. The practical reality is, however, that the knowledge codified in project documents is hardly re-used ...in future projects. A central problem in this context is the extensive amount of usually textual material. As a consequence, computer-assisted processes are indispensable in order to analytically manage the constantly growing and evolving databases of available project documents. The goal of this study is to summarize the current research focusing on the computer-assisted reuse of textually codified project knowledge and to define the corresponding state-of-the-art in this this specific field of information systems research. As a result of a literature review, this study structures the body of research contributions and outlines what kinds of computer-assisted techniques are incorporated, what practical application areas these solutions address, and in what business domains they are applied. In particular, this should point out research opportunities and thereby make a contribution to the further development of knowledge management in project environments.
This paper reviewed and investigated the main approaches, methods and means of extracting design documentation from PLM systems widely used in production. The authors proposed a new method for ...extracting data from design solutions of CAD, which allows extracting data and parameters as a result of analyzing design solutions, highlighting the history of building a three-dimensional model of a complex technical product, describes the main models and algorithms. The authors proposed a theoretical assessment of the effectiveness of the designer's activities using the system for extracting design characteristics from PLM.
In Winter 2006, engineering and human ecology students from Ohio State University (OSU) completed a 10-week service learning course as a prerequisite to a week-long service trip to rural Honduras ...during Spring Break (March 18-25, 2006). The community partner, known as Montana de Luz, is based in Columbus, OH, and operates a home for children with HIV/AIDS in Honduras. The overall goal was to build upon engineering projects initiated the previous year and to assess educational needs for the establishment of a preschool. The educational opportunities for OSU students consisted of pre-trip planning, fundraising, materials acquisition, project implementation, cultural exchange, student reflection, post-trip assessment, and documentation. On-site challenges consisted of water supply and quality (agricultural and health concern), electrical safety and equipment function, communications (due to remoteness and mountainous conditions), computing needs (administrative and educational), as well as the cultural and communications challenges of implementing projects in another country
NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is a large engineering enterprise which designs and develops instruments and unmanned spacecraft, with the majority of its work performed through projects ...and project teams. Project documentation is organized in separate project library systems making it difficult to discover resources across project libraries, to share knowledge and to support long-term preservation of and access to the information. The "Goddard Core," based on qualified Dublin Core with extensions, was developed to support evaluation and resource discovery of project-oriented information across project libraries. Broader issues for project management metadata are also examined.

Comments in source code are one of the aspects of programming languages and tools with a minor evolution along computer's history. In this paper we propose a new kind of comments which breaks the ...text based limit of comments allowed by current programming languages. Simul loco comments allow creating a graphical comment layer over the source code that can contain any resource to provide a suitable documentation. We tested this brand new concept in REM, an Eclipse's plugin that allows associating a graphical comment file with any Java or C file. REM shows the abilities of simul loco documentation and the huge amount of possibilities that this approach offers, particularly in agile software development.

Up to these days, development control still is not well-explored as to operational guidelines and applications. In this report, the author brings forward his observations regarding software ...development management organisation, gives options of management configuration, as well as discussion and analysis thereof. The author suggests a scheme of development documentary support which improves quality, portability and makes easier further support of developed software.
Strujne sheme su važan grafički dio svakog elektroprojekta. Na kvalitetu i brzinu stvaranja strujnih shema znatno utječe pripremljenost simbola. Ovdje prikazan programski alat ima veliku knjižnicu ...simbola koje je vrlo jednostavno koristiti. Unatoč tome, s vremena na vrijeme korisnik zbog nedostatka nekog specifičnog simbola mora samostalno proširiti knjižnicu simbola novim simbolima. Ovaj rad prikazuje stvaranje nove mape simbola u okviru postojeće knjižnice simbola, stvaranje simbola te njegovo korištenje pri stvaranju strujne sheme.
