This research was aimed to analyse the current state in primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Serbia, regarding chemistry teachers? initial education and self-perceived competencies. As an ...instrument, a questionnaire of 20 questions was used, which was prepared in the form of a Google questionnaire. The questions were divided into five groups to examine data on the structure of chemistry teachers (gender, age, place and school where they teach), the level of education obtained and the method of acquisition and acquired competencies, and finally the personal opinion of chemistry teachers about the teaching profession, advantages, disadvantages and possible recommendations to his/her students in terms of choosing this profession as a possible career. The questionnaire was sent to 1537 schools and 497 chemistry teachers took part in the questionnaire. The results showed that chemistry teachers are predominantly women, mostly aged 36?55, full-time employed and with an average working experience of over 11 years. Most teachers have appropriate education and acquired competencies. They cite working with children as the biggest advantage of the teaching profession while as the biggest disadvantage, they report a constant increase in the amount of administration from year to year.
The aim of this study is to determine how the theme of death in preschool children’s literature is perceived by preschool teachers. For this purpose, four children’s books were examined by nine ...preschool teachers and their opinions were recorded. The research was carried out with a qualitative approach in accordance with the phenomenological research design. The examined books were evaluated in terms of the treatment of the mourning process, the treatment of the concept of death and formal characteristics. The results showed that the preschool teacher’s personal perceptions, prejudices, feelings and thoughts, apart from the scientific criteria, play a significant role in the handling of the books on the subject of death. On the other hand, it was seen that there is no consensus on the transfer of taboo topics such as death by the preschool teachers with correct and scientifically valid methods. For this reason, experimental studies can be planned and effective teaching methods can be developed on the teaching of taboo subjects, especially death, to preschool children. It can be argued that more research is needed to identify the sources of perceptions of teachers who play a leading role in teaching taboo topics to children, and according to the results of this study, they should receive more professional training on teaching taboo topics.
The present paper reports on the results obtained from a teachers’ opinion survey on the use of ICT tools to support of attendance-based teaching. In order to carry out this study, it was necessary ...to design a questionnaire to collect data among all in-service teachers with access to the university virtual campus. The findings show that respondents keep an open mind on incorporating ICT tools into their daily practices, on that point, this research has significantly contributed to the educational institution by providing accurate information about ICT use. The survey has also encouraged the university in its work on the integration of ICT in every area where it is possible, with the aim objectives of increasing access to learning, providing equal educational opportunities for all and ensuring lifelong learning, which are the mainstays of the Bologna Declaration.

The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis, regression analysis, and thematic content analysis. Key findings were that educators had digital exhaustion and they offered some practical solutions.
In recent years, many studies have been conducted on teaching Turkish as a foreign language. While some of these researches involve teaching language skills, some involve developing materials. As ...well as the materials developed in this field, the beliefs of the language teachers who will apply these materials will affect the use of these developed materials and their benefits to students. One of the materials that can be used in teaching Turkish as a foreign language is newspapers, also considered as authentic materials. In the researches, it has been stated that the classrooms where newspapers are used have positive effects on students’ interest and participation in the lesson. As the starting point of this research, it was tried to determine which opinions and attitudes the teachers who teach Turkish to foreigners have towards using newspaper in their lessons. The research was conducted with a descriptive method-based screening model. For this purpose, teachers who teach Turkish abroad were contacted via internet and a questionnaire was conducted with them. In the analysis of the data obtained from the questionnaire, the frequency and percentages of the items were calculated. As a result, it was determined that there was no significant difference of opinion between teachers’ views on gender, age, graduated school and experience, and teachers were in agreement that students would participate more actively in the course in the development of vocabulary, development of reading comprehension skills when newspapers are used in lessons. It is thought that this research will be a source for material development studies for the use of newspapers in lessons.
The aim of our study was to shed light on (1) what Hungarian mothers, fathers and teachers of 4-6-year-olds think of these children's social problem-solving (SPS) and their difficulties in terms of ...problem-solving, adaptability and prosocial behaviour; (2) studying any correlation between the examined aspects and (3) the connection between one's opinion about SPS and some family background variables. We used three questionnaires (a modified version of SPSI-R D'Zurilla, T. J., Nezu, A., & Maydeu-Olivares, A. (2002). Social problem-solving inventory-revised (SPSI-R): Technical manual. New York, NY: Multi-Health Systems, North Tonawanda; Strength and Difficulty Questionnaire, Goodman, R. (2001). Psychometric properties of the strength and difficulty questionnaire. Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychiatric, 40(11), 1337-1345; Conners Parent/Teacher Rating Scale-Revised, Conners, C. K. (1997). Parent rating scale-revised technical manual. New York, NY: Multi Health Systems, North Tonawanda) and a background questionnaire in our research. Parents and teachers have different opinions in almost all studied aspects (e.g. positive and negative approach to SPS) and there is also a difference between how mothers and fathers rated most of the factors. Contrary to previous international research in the field, it is not teachers who have the most negative opinion but fathers.
Bu araştırmanın amacı, küresel salgın sürecinde çevrimiçi olarak yürütülen web tabanlı uzaktan eğitimin öğrencilerin başarısı üzerindeki etkisine yönelik öğretmen görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Nitel ...desenin kullanıldığı araştırmada alanyazına dayalı olarak öncelikle kuramsal çerçeve oluşturulmuş, bu çerçeve temelinde araştırma sorularını oluşturma, veri toplama aracını geliştirme, verileri çözümleme ve sonuçları raporlama işlemleri yürütülmüştür. Maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme tekniği ile belirlenen ve Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı ortaokul ve liselerde görev yapan 12 öğretmen, bu araştırmanın katılımcılarını oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen ve demografik maddelere ek olarak açık uçlu beş maddeden oluşan anket aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, MAXQDA 12 yazılımı aracılığıyla içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Analiz sonucunda Akademik Başarı, Genel Konular, Etkin Katılım ve Öğrenme Hızı olmak üzere dört tema altında dokuz kod ve 44 alt kod belirlenmiştir. Bu tema-kod-alt kodlar içerisinde toplam 89 görüş yer almıştır. En fazla görüş Akademik Başarı teması altında yer alırken en az görüş Öğrenme Hızı temasında belirlenmiştir. Akademik Başarı teması altında öğretmenler süreçte öğrenci başarısının olumsuz yönde etkilendiğine dair daha fazla görüş bildirmiş ve bu durumu başta ekipman sorunu, ilgi ve dikkat sorunu gibi çeşitli gerekçelerle açıklamıştır. Genel Konular teması altında da başarısız noktalar kodu öne çıkmış, soyut konuların öğretimi, ders takibi ve etkin katılım gibi durumlarda başarısızlıklara vurgu yapılmıştır. Etkin Katılım teması altında öğretmenler büyük bir çoğunlukla etkin katılımın uzaktan eğitim sürecinde azaldığını vurgularken Öğrenme Hızı temasında ise öğretmenler çoğunlukla öğrenme hızının azaldığının altını çizmiştir.
