The paper proposes introducing biologically oriented ideas in conceiving a new ideas in modern factories. It presents a new optimization methodology based on genetic algorithms (GAs) approach for ...determination of the cutting parameters in machining operation in manufacturing processes. The proposed approach makes it possible to find the optimal value of all the cutting parameters, including the depth of cut, in just one step. The basic theory of GAs together with the implementation in optimal design of machining operations is presented.
