  • Project VALEURTECH : how to support young people for professional training in different countries
    Welzer-Družovec, Tatjana ...
Mobility within the European Union has increased in last years first of all because of different projects and programs that support the mobility of different participants like students, teachers and ... researchers. Students exchange for example in academic environment through the Socrates-Erasmus program runs successfully. In contrary, periods that student spend abroad engaged in practical and professional activities have to be fully recognized. Professional skills (hard and soft) are essential traits of an engineer technician. The skills are mainly acquired by participating at professional projects and training. Recognition of this type of experience varies greatly from one country to another because of cultural diversity. Three target groups involved in professional training can be recognized: students (evaluation of acquired skills for projects abroad), companies (most skilled workers/students are looking for) and teachers (student's integration during professional training and her/his efficiency). In the paper we will present the project and consortium ValeurTech, which is focused on the professional training abroad. The content of the project, its form and membership in the Leonardo da Vinci program will be the most important parts of the presentation. Additionally a professional training in different countries from the quality assurance in higher education point of view will be taken into the account.
