    The modern world is increasingly confronted with increasingly important environmental issues. The issue is influenced by various factors, including costs. In order to raise awareness of the ... importance of environmental problems, workshops (academies) were organized for young people from different countries, which successfully contributed to the discussion on the controversial topic. The paper presents how the workshops took place and what their main purpose was and how it was achieved. At the same time, the article presents the views of young people between the ages of 13 and 25 on the environment and their understanding of green energies. To this end, the young people answered various questions on the basis of which a statistical analysis was performed with an analysis of the answers that gave a view of the understanding of young people. It turned out that the purpose of the workshops for young people was achieved, with young people expressing understanding of environmental problems, but also awareness that they can contribute to change through their actions.
