    Pšunder, Majda
The process of globalization and the development of the information technology are creating new views in education and in transfer of information. Knowledge and computer literacy are becoming the ... most important factors of successful individual enforcement. The knowledge of "tomorrow" can be achieved when process of learning and knowledge is combined: modern information technology is complemented with man's personal creativity. E-education is bringing lots of advantages but also many disadvantages. Traditional school with a teacher is still going to be irreplaceable in the first years of schooling when face-to-face approach is the most suitable way for child's emotional, social, cultural, moral and individual development. But the role of a teacher is changing because new technologies offer new methods and forms of teaching, which stimulate pupils to be more independent in learning. The teacher still has to work on directing, organizing and achieving the learning process. Although computer will be able to direct the process of learning there is still going, to be need for the role of a teacher in supervision and observation of the pupils
