Features of virtual society enable new forms of communication [Elektronski vir]

Modern society is much more dependent on technology than ever before. This relation is not surprising since technology helped shape society. Fast development offers us new possibilities. New ...communities arise out of digitalization and network development. Not just virtual societies, but also temporal communities with great power using wireless technologies in mobile phones and notebooks. But on the other hand there are many questions to be solved. Lately the most exposed fields are copyrights, privacy, censorship, supervisions and others. People have to be aware the virtual world has the same roles as the real world does. The paper presents an overview of the possibilities virtual societies have in the fields of communication and education, with emphasis on the learning possibilities with new social networks, enabled by mobile technology.
