Vloga socialnih iger pri pouku v prvem triletju osnovne šole : diplomsko deloKolarič, Mojca, razredni pouk, 1985-Socialna igra je ciljno naravnano učenje. Njen osnovni namen je socialno učenje. V socialnih igrah razvijamo intelektualno, emocionalno in socialno plat otrokove osebnosti. Pri socialnih igrah učenci ... prihajajo v medsebojni stik, se povežejo med seboj, med njimi se razvije solidarnost. Socialne igre imajo mnogo prednosti tudi za učitelje. Igre omogočajo učiteljem, da v razredu vzpostavijo enakopraven, tovariški odnos z otroki, motivirajo učence za delo, z igrami sproščajo in razvijajo medsebojne odnose, prihajajo do novih znanj ter pripomorejo ne nazadnje k ugodni socialni klimi v razredu. To pomeni, da lahko učitelji socialne igre vključujejo v redni del pouka, in s tem na neposreden način prihajajo do želenih vzgojno-izobraževalnih ciljev.
