  • Performances of GPU accelerated random forests [Elektronski vir]

    The comparison of performances of CPU multicore implementation of Random forests against GPU based implementation is presented. Tests were performed onthe MNIST handwritten digits recognition and the ... Poker hand data sets. From results it can be concluded that only the large number of samples is not enough to achieve superior performances on the GPU. In the case of the MNIST data set, a four-core CPU implementation of Random forest achieved same performances as the GPU based implementation.
