Izbira art [i. e. likovnih] motivih [i. e. motivov] pri načrtovanju likovne naloge v nižjih razredih osnovne šole = The choice of art motifs in planning the art task in lower grades of primary school

The art motif is the visual part of the art task, as it is understood as what the child depicts in the art task. In the art education field, the essence of the motif lies in the child starting to ...deal with the given art problem through the motif. Teachers are not always aware of the importance of focusing on the interdependence of individual elements of the art task in its planning, i.e. of the art motif, the art field, the technique and the art problem. The paper presents, the results of a survey, that established the most common source of ideas for art motifs for teachers and whether in their choice the teachers pay sufficient attention to the harmonisation of the art motif and the art problem. In choosing art motifs, a number of deficiencies were established in the understanding and notions of elements of art education that elementary teachers use to plan the art task.
