  • Knowledge based tools : an example in knowledge medelling
    Pivec, Maja ; Rajkovič, Vladislav
The knowledge based technology represents a practical challange for more efficient teaching because a lot of trasparent expert knowledge is encapsulated in those systems. As such they are meaningful ... for teaching in cases where we want to improve knowledge comprehension. The teacher and the pupil are motivated to rise the creativity level by using the knowledge for problem solving and generating new concepts as well. The knowledge base may be (grouped into three modules) used in three different ways: knowledge acquisition, knowledge explanation and knowledge utilization for the problem solving process. In the paper the use of an expert system in education is presented with emphasis on the combination of the expet system with the module for additional explanation designed with the hypertext multimedia tool.
