  • Solar Radiation Stability Factor [Elektronski vir]
    Jereb, Borut, 1962- ; Obrecht, Matevž, 1985- ; Knez, Matjaž, 1975-
This paper defines a Solar Radiation Stability Factor - SRSF which is a complementary indicator to the quantity of electricity production. When planning solar energy production in a specific ... geographical area, both intensity and stability of solar electromagnetic radiation is important. Indeed, both the quantity and stability are important for determining the quality of radiation. While the average production of solar energy per area-unit in a given time interval is a widely used parameter, observing the amplitude of radiation and its effect on energy production in the observed time interval is currently still rare. SRSF is a new metric that mainly depends on the variability associated with weather. It is a more accurate measure of the quality of a particular geographical area for the production of solar energy. Determination of the stability of radiation is based on historical observation which gives us a basis for predicting oscillation in solar energy production in the future.
