The areas along the border with the Republic of Croatia in northeastern Slovenia are determined, as to the immigrants from the other republics of ex-Yugoslavia, and the degree of regional extent of ...estates owned by Croatian citizens, and their share. Altogether 3161 persons have immigrated into the discussed three border communes - Ljutomer, Ormož and Ptuj - and 1660 proprietors from Croatia own 754 hectares of lands, which is 0,45 ha on the average. These lands are located in 133 (48%) cadastral communes and in two ofthem they even exceed 10% of the area. The relatively high occurrence of Croatian lands is typical of the Slovenian Medmurje region, and partly also ofthe Obdravje region by Ormož, and of Haloze. From the aspect of owning land in two neighbouring states, seven types can be discerned in these 11 border areas
