  • E-line - slovenski prispevek v mednarodnem projektnem konzorciju na področju velikih linijskih infrastruktur
    Tibaut, Andrej, 1968- ...
Ongoing efferts on development and application of product modelling for manipulation of complex data generated in the road lifecycle have matured into the idea for project proposal for 5th framework ... EU programme. Construction IT Centre and Primorje represent the Slovenian part in an international project consortium. E-line project targets at large scale line infrastructures including road and rail. Main project objectives base on the fact that the use of information technology in the process of design, construction, building and maintenance lacks its efficiency. The role of information technology is subordinated to the traditional way of work practice which creates barely connected islands of automation. Such attitude to information technology gurantees no quality cooperation in a Europe without borders. In Europe we are facing large construction projects, i.e. transeuropean roads and rails, where stakeholders from different domains (investors, engineers, architects and public) and countries have to collaborate. The collaboration requires interaction between number of potentially different specifications of large scale line infrastructures. Therefore, one of E-line's goals is to merge process specifics of local large scale line infrastructure into a generic process model. The Slovenian pertners will actively contribute to the project participating in an international consortium along with partners from Netherlands and Germany. The paper enlightens project goals and scope as recorded in the project proposal preparation.
