    In this paper the usage of artificial neural networks as a technology that enables computerized decision-making is introduced. Concepts of neural computing are applied to designing and managing ... decision models and knowledge bases, which are fundamental components of decision support systems. The influences of neural networks on decision-making process as well as their benefits and drawbacks in comparison to conventional analytical methods and expert systems are described. Finally, some real-life applications of artificial neural networks are presented.
